Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

Had a chat with OH last night after he shunned me again. He just said to stop pressuring him and we'll try at the weekend. I felt bad but then I also felt bad that I've pressured him.

However....I've done my OPK this morning to a little flashy smiley 🙈🙈🙈

NeverHadANickname · 17/04/2019 14:29

Ah @McHelenz it can be so hard. Does he fully understand the importance of timings? Must be difficult if you are on different pages with it all.

McHelenz · 17/04/2019 14:59

@neverhadanickname he does I think. He said to try at the weekend when he's less tired which really is O day so just thinking about that..

NeverHadANickname · 17/04/2019 15:04

Oh ok, I didn't know what a flashing smiley is, I just used ovulation sticks with lines. Maybe after this weekend it'll calm down a bit for him and he can relax into it a bit more. Fingers crossed for you.

McHelenz · 18/04/2019 16:17

@neverhadanickname the flashing smileys are indicating estrogen which apparently goes up when you're about to release the ovulating hormone.

We are going out tonight for his birthday tonight so im hoping that will loosen things up!! Haha.

rollerskaterdata · 18/04/2019 22:21

Hi all, sorry I kind of dropped off there a bit! Holidays so far have been manic with nesting and last minute buying and doing minor DIY jobs around the house. I'll have a proper read to catch up, hope everyone is well x

How're things going @McHelenz?

@mussie any idea now why it was so cheap? Brilliant if you've got no idea! I love a bargain.

I find I can feel quite sick while exercising now so I have to take it slower. My trainer knows though so it's not a big deal. I don't know when I should give up ab exercises though. Should have asked the midwife!

Welcome back @NeverHadANickname and @rollerskaterdata. How are you both?

McHelenz · 20/04/2019 18:44

@dottydally yea not bad! We dtd finally Thursday and Friday. Been out today but OH seems a bit grumpy, no idea why. Just going leave him to it!

mussie · 20/04/2019 22:10

@dottydally never did realise why it was so cheap! Was a lovely holiday though. Back home now. And I think as long as you feel able to do an exercises you could keep going. There'll come a point where you're not able to anyway! And keeping your stomach muscles strong so they together as long as possible is a good idea. A split rectus sheath is not pleasant. Your trainer might have more info!

@McHelenz is today O day? You've got a pretty good chance! Will be your first TWW very soon 😁 living vicariously through you!

McHelenz · 20/04/2019 22:26

O day is tomorrow or Monday. Last 2 cycles it was 13 and 14. He just told me he's feeling a bit down, so this could be it for this cycle so just got to have fingers crossed that it wasn't too early. Here's hoping he picks up a bit tomorrow.

mussie · 20/04/2019 22:57

@McHelenz aww sorry to hear that. Hope he feels better soon. Have a lovely rest of the Easter weekend! I am planning on doing very very little tomorrow and I can't wait 😁

McHelenz · 20/04/2019 22:59

@mussie I have a 13 hour shift tomorrow 😭😭😭. Hoping for a relax on Monday though!

EssJayyCee · 21/04/2019 08:07

Hi, can I join?
I waited to TTC from November until this month.

26, TTC baby #1, cycle 1, CD42.

I have polycystic ovaries (not PCOS) and I get random length cycles and apparently proven by this cycle I do not always ovulate.

Last two cycles I ovulated around day 21/22 this cycle ovulation hasn't happened.

DTD like crazy but getting worn out already!

cupcakesandglitter · 21/04/2019 12:22

Hey ladies we decided to focus on sorting the garden out this month so I've been absent too.... how are you all doing? Everyone enjoying the BH weekend?! Xx

rollerskaterdata · 21/04/2019 20:54

@dottydally I'm not too bad, even huger and more tired and my pelvic pain is horrendous so I'm struggling a bit although the crutches are helping. But I really don't have long left, 34 and a bit weeks now so very close to full term! How are you feeling? When is your 12 week scan?

@cupcakesandglitter absolutely loving and hating the weather at the moment! Loving that we finally have a rare sunny BH and the wonderful sunshine and heat it brings...while hating it because I'm already running hotter than usual and I'm struggling in it! How has yours been?

@mussie not long until you start TTC again is it?!

@McHelenz hope your shift went quickly!

@EssJayyCee welcome, I hope your journey is a short one

Apologies if I've missed anyone x

Oh god @rollerskaterdata I can imagine, I suppose you'll be glad to hear it's gonna get a lot cooler? Ours has been good thanks, wed not really touched the garden since we moved in last year so we've been super busy which has been nice. I'm CD18 and my nipples are sore (only when touched) and feel like AF is coming but we'll see. Not too fussed either way xxx

McHelenz · 21/04/2019 21:47

Shift was soooo loooong! I'm ready for bed now x

McHelenz · 22/04/2019 08:09

OH said no again last night and this morning. According to glow yesterday was our highest chance but then I only got a flashing face this morning. So I'm trying not to get too hung up on the percentages but it's really hard..

dottydally · 22/04/2019 08:46

@McHelenz has he said why he's saying no? Other than just being a bit down? It's frustrating but sometimes the enormity of it doesn't hit men until it starts to get real regardless of how much you talked about it!

@rollerskaterdata sending love, it must be awful having to be on crutches. You are getting close though. It's a week and a half away. I'm excited and nervous in equal measures! The bottom of my tummy is starting to push out too which feels weird. It's always been very flat so I'm worried it's going to give the game away.

Welcome @EssJayyCee!

@cupcakesandglitter welcome back! BH weekend has been good but I'm so tired now Sad how's yours been?

McHelenz · 22/04/2019 09:20

@dottydally I think it's because he's down, which in turn has made me a bit down. I've suffered with depression for a few years and my sex drive hasn't been the best, so now he's saying we can't just go from nothing to every day which I can see. ( I didn't event think I was asking every day but still). Will see what happens tonight

NeverHadANickname · 24/04/2019 14:01

I have the opportunity to go on holiday for a week with family on a really cheap deal which sounds brilliant, should be nice and relaxing. The only problems are I'll be 35 weeks and it is a 10 hour drive away! Just cant decide what to do. If it was a month or 2 earlier it might be easier but then it'd be hotter. I just dont know how I'll feel at that point. The problem with booking it and just seeing how I am is that it's sort of a timeshare thing a family member has so they will lose some of their slots if we book and dont use. Where are the crystal balls when you need them.

rollerskaterdata · 25/04/2019 09:37

@NeverHadANickname I understand the predicament. I'm currently 35 weeks and as much as I'd love a holiday I'm pretty much housebound I'm so huge and sore all over. But then again at 35 weeks with my DS I felt great and went on a mini holiday climbing (small!) mountains! I think it depends as every pregnancy is different but I knew from pretty early on this pregnancy was going to be harder so maybe hazard a guess? How are you feeling now?

NeverHadANickname · 25/04/2019 12:26

Thanks @rollerskaterdata, that's what I'm worried about. I feel fine now but it has only been the last couple of days I have managed to cut down from eating 5 times a day so I didn't feel sick. I have had terrible sickness and been on antisickness medication, also had bad pelvic pain a lot of the time and still do if I sit down too long or do too much. I think I need to find out when they need to know by. I am 17 weeks now. Must be terrible for you feeling like you do but thank you for your insight.

NLouise123 · 25/04/2019 12:51

Hi all, I'm hoping it's not too late to join this tread. Myself and my OH have decided to begin to TTC. May will be out first month pill free! Everyone seem super supportive on here and I'm just trying to take onboard everyone's experience, advice and opinions.

rollerskaterdata · 26/04/2019 17:48

@NeverHadANickname No worries 😊 I'm sorry you've been so sick, it really is awful. I'm so glad you've started feeling better in the last few days. I think finding out when they need to know by is a good idea, hopefully if you've got a little while to make a decision you can decide a bit later on based on how you're feeling then x
