Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

@NeverHadANickname oh that is so cute! Sounds very well received, you must be so happy.

@cupcakesandglitter I have awful neighbours too! Slamming doors, shouting at each other all the time, it's the worst. Can't wait til I have a crying baby to pay them back 😂

My hCG yesterday was 7! Which is great. They've said it's low enough to discharge me, even though it's technically not negative yet. Got a squinter of a FRER this morning, so hopefully that will be negative in a couple of days when I test again. I did an OPK because if this cycle was normal, I would be about to ovulate, and actually it's very nearly positive! I know the hCG can confuse things, but I'm going to keep an eye on that 🧐

cupcakesandglitter · 24/03/2019 09:58

@NeverHadANickname that sounds so cute, glad you had a lovely evening xx

@mussie mine have a crying baby that sleeps in the room next to ours :( keep using the OPKs - if they've been doing your bloods for hcg maybe you could ask them if there's any indication of what phase you're in? From what I've read, if you get a BFP then you're likely to have one on an OPK too, but I guess if you're having squinters now then maybe you're going to ov soon 😊 xx

I've noticed since my CP that I now have a new symptom before AF (haven't been marking how soon before AF it comes) - the only time I ever get a 'spot' on my nose 😂 never turns into a spot, just an angry red mark that just disappears as soon as the cow arrives. Small red mark starting to appear today, can't wait for AF 🙄

Jelliestogether · 25/03/2019 11:03

Sorry it's taken me a long time to reply! After a 3 hour wait at the hospital, they said they weren't sure why my leg was numb but they were pretty sure it wasn't a dvt which was great news. My leg is still numb, the pins and needles is getting less and the numbness has moved and is a bit less so hopefully it'll just go away and be one of those strange things that happened!

dottydally · 25/03/2019 11:19

@cupcakesandglitter how is it all going? Interesting that you get a mark on your nose but hopefully no AF!

@NeverHadANickname so glad it all went well and everyone is excited. We told my mum on Saturday (a week early as I clearly have no self control). She didn't understand the babygrow to start with but then cried when she realised! She is absolutely over the moon. I'm also relieved to not have to keep it a secret around her.

@mussie congratulations on the hCG! It's been a long haul for you but your closing in on the end. May will also be here before you know it and you'll be TTC again.

@Jelliestogether at least it wasn't DVT, though still annoying! Fingers crossed it all goes away.

Nothing exciting to report here. My boobs are now so uncomfortable that I am wearing slightly padded crop tops. They also appear to have grown as today's top is a bit tighter than usual. I didn't think they would change much this early and they didn't look much different! Also generally exhausted and struggling with constant nausea. Is it the weekend yet?

cupcakesandglitter · 25/03/2019 11:29

@Jelliestogether glad to hear it wasn't DVT. Hopefully it's nothing and it'll go away quickly xx

@dottydally all good here thanks 😊 mark on my nose has gone, so guessing it wasn't my pre AF spot 😂 no AF here for me, but I'm only CD26 so still could be anytime in the next two weeks. I feel like my boobs are changing ever so slightly, but when I was pg They changed overnight and really obviously too - isn't it crazy how fast they change!!! DH thinks they look the same, so maybe I'm just failing at not SS. So irritated that it's Monday, I definitely didn't sleep enough over the weekend, and I'm not pg so I can't imagine how you feel 😂😩 x

dottydally · 26/03/2019 12:42

@cupcakesandglitter it is always ok to be irritated that it's Monday, pg or not! Have you done any tests?

I'm irritated today as I had my favourite sandwich and it was horrible. I could barely swallow it. I'm going off all nice food. Chocolate being the most devastating Sad

cupcakesandglitter · 26/03/2019 12:46

@dottydally I've not tested yet, I think I'm going to save it and wait until I'm really late - I don't want the heartbreak of another CP, I'd rather just wait it out 😊 omg 😭 I don't know how I'd cope!! Are you craving anything? Or is there anything you can stomach? X

dottydally · 26/03/2019 13:34

@cupcakesandglitter when do you think AF is due? I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you. Bravo for the self control too!

Apples are good, so are ice pops. Roast potatoes are amazing. Ready salted or salt and vinegar crisps are manageable. So is pasta but it can't have much sauce! Sadly chocolate, onions, tuna, yogurts and cheese are all out. Summer berries squash is a no go. Somehow it tastes like sick, even though it's the same squash I've always bought and really liked Blush

cupcakesandglitter · 26/03/2019 13:49

@dottydally cheese and chocolate 😩 on the plus side, pasta and potatoes 🤤 does your appetite change throughout pregnancy or will it stay the same now? And I have no idea 😂 I don't feel like AF is coming but it could be too soon to tell really xx

dottydally · 26/03/2019 13:56

@cupcakesandglitter it's heartbreaking I'm thinking about just having a bowl of roast potatoes for dinner but it feels wrong. I don't know either. I assume it will change throughout but perhaps @rollerskaterdata or @Jelliestogether might be able to shed some light!

How rubbish that you don't know! It's good that you don't feel her coming yet though. Have you got a goal in mind for testing?

cupcakesandglitter · 26/03/2019 14:16

@dottydally 😂😂 I can imagine, but I'd love to have roast potatoes for dinner 😂 no date in mind, I feel too laid back 😂 x

dottydally · 26/03/2019 14:43

@cupcakesandglitter I need you in my life. Come and sit on my shoulder and tell me to chill the f- out please!

cupcakesandglitter · 26/03/2019 14:56

@dottydally 😂😂 happily!! I feel like we're all friends, I wish I knew you all in person 😂😩 xx

dottydally · 26/03/2019 15:02

@cupcakesandglitter We are our own little club. I think we all live really spread out though Sad I feel like you live in the north but I might have made that up!

cupcakesandglitter · 26/03/2019 15:07

@dottydally we are 😩 I'm in the midlands, if I remember right no one is near me at all xx

rollerskaterdata · 26/03/2019 22:11

@dottydally @cupcakesandglitter my food preferences change from day to day ha! Right now I'm eating pears like there's no tomorrow when normally I wouldn't be. I'm also STARVING all the time, it's actually really annoying. Like right now I want to go to bed but my stomach won't let me!

I think we are really spread out, I think I'm fairly close to @dottydally but that's it! I'm South East x

cupcakesandglitter · 27/03/2019 08:27

@rollerskaterdata 😂 at least you have an excuse to eat all you want!! XX

Jelliestogether · 27/03/2019 09:24

@dottydally sorry I have no idea about food tastes changing, I've not had any changes - all the same foods etc. The only thing I had is during the early weeks not wanting to eat anything as nothing was appealing (even the thought of food), even food I normally like.

Had my 20 week scan yesterday, managed to convince DH to stay team yellow for the time being! All looked good on the scan, was being a little monkey and not moving arms out of the way so had to do lots of wiggling and went for a walk but we got there in the end. We have another scan next week for the planned cardiac scan.

dottydally · 27/03/2019 16:47

Oh I have had the most horrendous day at work. I can't shake the nausea and literally feel so uneasy all the time. I've tried little snacks but I'm finding it hard as my appetite has completely gone. I'm leaving soon but the thought of getting the tube is making me want to cry. I'm so happy and grateful that I'm pregnant but I feel awful Sad

NeverHadANickname · 27/03/2019 19:50

@Jelliestogether glad your scan went well. We aren't finding out either. Ours could be done on a blood test if we wanted. Everyone asks when we are finding out and I just say when its born haha. Was hard earlier because a relative has said she'll crochet us something for the baby and I know it'll be gorgeous. I said we like neutrals but said to maybe wait until born because she mentioned putting a name on.

@dottydally sorry you have had a rubbish day, I hope your journey home isn't too bad. You are doing so well, I dont know how people work in early pregnancy, I definitely couldn't have done!

And yes to whoever said about roast potatoes, I could eat a whole bowl of crunchy ones now. My tastes change day to day. I had been enjoying fruit with yogurt and honey for breakfasts but really gone off it this week, especially the yogurt.

rollerskaterdata · 28/03/2019 17:51

@dottydally sorry to hear you're struggling. If it's any consolation I can give you a virtual hand hold and can definitely empathise. I'm 31 weeks now and so tired it's ridiculous, first trimester tired all over again. I'm huge, have such bad pelvic pain, I can't breathe as baby is squishing my lungs and I have to pee all.the.time! And don't even get me started on (lack of) sleep! Sorry for the rant, just had to get it out there! I know you lovely lot will understand Grinx

dottydally · 29/03/2019 08:16

Happy Friday all! After my moan earlier this week I'm feeling more positive. I got to the office early this morning so I missed the worst of the tube and will leave early to do the same.

@cupcakesandglitter I knew you were a bit further away Sad @rollerskaterdata it freaks me out to think we may have crossed paths before. I know it's unlikely but you never know!

@Jelliestogether congrats on a successful 20 week scan! Have you started buying things?

@NeverHadANickname we had a bowl of roast potatoes as a side with pasta. It definitely didn't go but they were glorious!

@rollerskaterdata thank you! You really are on the home stretch now. its so nice to have you all here to talk to as I can't tell anyone else. My DP knows, my Mum and my PT (more because I wanted him to make sure I'm safe doing what I do). I'm still doing HIIT but modified slightly. Oddly it's the only time I don't feel hideously sick. It's still there but much less of an issue Confused

NeverHadANickname · 29/03/2019 12:29

@dottydally so glad you are feeling better, your post sounds a lot more upbeat.

We got our results for the genetic testing, everything came back low risk so we are happy about that.

NeverHadANickname · 31/03/2019 15:42

Happy mothers day to everyone; people who have DC, everyone that is pregnant and everyone who hopes to be soon. Hope you all have a great day whatever you are doing 💐
