Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

@NoseringGirl I agree - I think this month's one looks better for ov, I get what you mean with the long cycle - guessing it was annovulatory (sp?) fx this month all goes to plan! X

NoseringGirl · 25/01/2019 12:13

Thanks! Yes, fairly certain that ridiculous one was anovulatory. Hoping this time is different. I've been really good with what I've been eating so hopefully it's had a positive impact on my PCOS and those hormones are starting to work properly again!

Jelliestogether · 26/01/2019 12:57

Just thought I would pop back and check how everyone is getting on! Lovely to see @dottydally has now moved over!! The wait for you is now over!! Yay!!

Oh my goodness congratulations @NeverHadANickname!! I'm so happy for you!!

Just a little update on me, we had our 12 week scan a few days ago and everything looked good, although measured a tiny bit small to do the downs test so have to go back in 2 weeks (we are so excited we get to see it again so soon!!) But we are also not surprised as how unpredictable my cycles were....dying to tell our friends and families now though but waiting for the results of the next scan!x

NoseringGirl · 26/01/2019 20:09

Hello @Jelliestogether glad to hear your (almost) 12 week scan went well and that you'll get to see baby again soon. How are you feeling?

RandomUsernameHere · 27/01/2019 07:42

Congratulations @NeverHadANickname !!!x
@Jelliestogether glad the scan went well x

Jelliestogether · 27/01/2019 09:19

@noseringGirl thanks. Feeling not too bad actually. Weeks 9-10 were awful with feeling sick but not vomiting (luckily, although might have been a relief). Now I just feel sick if I don't eat regularly. Still feeling tired but it's definitely improving.

PastaSauceHoarder · 27/01/2019 10:54

Ah I lost this thread a good while back, just found it again now! So lovely to see so many familiar names from the old 'Waiting to TTC' thread! I hope everyone is well! 💛

Fantastic to see some BFPs too! Smile

NoseringGirl · 30/01/2019 15:00

CD1 for me today. At least I ovulated for the first time since the chemical in July though!
How's everyone else doing?

mussie · 30/01/2019 16:31

@NoseringGirl sorry to hear about AF, but congrats on the ovulation! AF is due tomorrow for me. Going to do a FRER in the morning to give me a heads up with whether she might arrive or not. Wish me luck 🤞🏻

NoseringGirl · 30/01/2019 17:57

Best of luck @mussie hope AF stays away and you get that BFP!

NeverHadANickname · 01/02/2019 14:00

@NoseringGirl glad you ovulated, at least you are heading in the right direction.

Did you test @mussie? Fingers crossed for you.

I have my scan booked for 14th March 😊 can't wait.

mussie · 01/02/2019 15:47

Was BFN. AF due yesterday or today, not arrived yet. Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday, so maybe implantation? Think that's probably me being overly optimistic though. Will test again tomorrow if AF hasn't arrived, as Natural Cycles sensibly advised in the first place 😂 temps still high so I'll hopefully make it to tomorrow?

Lovely to see you back @PastaSauceHoarder :)
I have had the worst week ever at work so just catching up on the last week or so x

PastaSauceHoarder · 01/02/2019 21:47

Hi @Pinkroseuk, how are things? Lovely to see that you've graduated to TTC! Smile

Sorry you've had a rough week, hope you're just chilling out and relaxing now. x

NoseringGirl · 01/02/2019 22:57

@NeverHadANickname so exciting that you've got your scan date!

@mussie I think you might be at 9DPO looking at that chart? I know it has your ovulation a day earlier than that though. Temps are looking good, especially with that dip and rise again. Hope you get that BFP soon!

@Pinkroseuk sorry you've had a bad week at work. Hope it's a relaxing weekend for you!

CD3 here and just waiting for AF to finish. I hate this part of the cycle. Feels like there's nothing to do!

Pinkroseuk · 02/02/2019 08:26

Thanks @NoseringGirl and @PastaSauceHoarder.

@PastaSauceHoarder I'm waiting for hospital appointment at start March and should get the results of many tests. I'm still trying to loose weight (enough so they can give me some tablets) and will have to see how go from there. I'm not very good at all the waiting!
How are you getting on?

Day out with my parents today - but hoping tomorrow will be more relaxing! Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

mussie · 02/02/2019 08:40

@NoseringGirl potentially. Got another BFN today though, and some light bleeding this morning, so I reckon AF is just arriving a day late like last month. Honestly can't be dealing with a 32 day cycle, 30-31 was bad enough. Just going to have a moody day, hopefully AF arrives properly by this evening so that I don't feel bad having a beer!

PastaSauceHoarder · 02/02/2019 09:07

That is a lot of waiting @Pinkroseuk, but at least March is in sight! Only next month now, I hope February goes nice and quickly for you. 🤞🏻
How is the weight loss doing? I can't remember sorry, are they the tablets to help with your periods?

I'm good, thank you! Got my BFP on the 6th January - I'm 8 weeks pregnant today. Smile Just taking it day by day!

Pinkroseuk · 02/02/2019 09:09

Yes it is thanks @PastaSauceHoarder
I have lost a stone but have two more to go so probably looking at getting the tablets in the summer realistically. - yes they are.
Oh congratulations :D so pleased for you :) xx

rollerskaterdata · 02/02/2019 11:19

Hey ladies :) just doing a quick catch up so apologies if I miss anyone x

@Pinkroseuk well done on the weight loss so far, I know it's not easy. A stone is a huge achievement and you should be proud! Hope your appointment in March goes well, really not long now at all, Feb is a short month so it will fly by!

@NoseringGirl I know what you mean about the part of cycle where you're on your period and waiting to ovulate. I hope you have a shorter cycle this month. How is the diet going?

@mussie if you're 10dpo today it could still be too early and light bleeding doesn't necessarily mean AF is on her way. I hope you find out soon one way or the other as I know being in limbo is the absolute worst!

@PastaSauceHoarder congrats again hun, you must be so looking forward to your 12 week scan! When is it? Do let us know how you get on. How are you feeling, any symptoms?

@NeverHadANickname apologies I may have missed it, is it your 12 or 20 week scan you've got coming up in March?

AFM I only bloody fell on my ass in this bastard snow last night! The maternity unit checked over me and baby, all is well but I'm feeling like a right idiot 🙄 needless to say I'll be hibernating now until it's all gone, which may take a few days as it’s struggling to keep above freezing here!

OP posts:
mussie · 02/02/2019 11:55

@rollerskaterdata that is so kind of you to check in with everyone! Glad you and baby are ok. Hope you don't go stir crazy with the hibernation! Plenty of Netflix and hot chocolate I think.

And yeah, I could just be 11dpo today. NC thinks 12dpo, FF thinks 13dpo! The bleeding might come to nothing, but I'm trying not to let myself think about that too much, because really the chances are very slim and I'd rather not have any more disappointment! Of course if I'm still in limbo in a couple of days, I'll have to test again. At the moment I just want to forget the whole thing 😔 but onward and upwards!

NeverHadANickname · 02/02/2019 13:21

@rollerskaterdata glad everything is ok after the fall! That's the worst thing about this time of year.

I will be 11 weeks for my scan. I'm not in the UK so things are slightly different but it's the equivalent of the 12 week scan. Need to go in and have blood taken the week before so I have the results for my scan.

I feel like a bit of a fraud to be honest. One day I didnt know I was pregnant then took a test and I was. It's like nothing has changed but everything has. I have constant light period cramps which make me think something is wrong, plus bad lower back and I'm so tired. Even though I have some symptoms I'm convinced I'll get to the scan and there will be nothing there. I dont want to do extra tests because I'll just worry more and I can't go for an earlier scan because DH cant get time off work and I couldn't face it on my own if it is bad news. I suppose i just have to trust that a BFP and no period since means things are as they should be. I'm sorry to moan here, I'm so happy I got my BFP but can't help worrying.

PastaSauceHoarder · 02/02/2019 13:25

Thats brilliant so far, @Pinkroseuk!! I hope you feel proud of yourself. Smile Its not easy losing weight, especially when its this time of the year and its miserable and most people just want to stay in and eat.
And thank you! 💛

Thanks @rollerskaterdata, 12 week scan is on the 5th March. Smile Going to book a private one in about a week and a half though because I just can't relax. Few symptoms here, mostly nausea. I don't think it's as bad as when I was pregnant with my toddler though so can't complain!

Oh no, poor you! Glad you and baby are okay though! Is it really bad where you are? Over here we got a morning of snow and then that was it - its all that mucky slush now. 🙄

rollerskaterdata · 02/02/2019 15:22

@mussie that's my plan 😊 argh it's so annoying when different apps predict you on different DPO! With my DS I wasn't even TTC but I knew my period was late and I didn't get a positive test until AF was 5 days late! (I tested when AF was 2 days late and got a BFN). I know what you mean about not getting your hopes up and being disappointed, but you're truly not out until AF fully shows her face!

@NeverHadANickname what part of the world are you in if you don't mind me asking? I've always been really interested in antenatal care in other parts of the world. I can also understand the feeling like a fraud, it's hard at times to believe there's an actually baby in there until you see it! Try not to worry too much about the light cramping and lower back pain, it's totally normal, I had both in both my pregnancies x

@PastaSauceHoarder hope the private scan goes well, let us know how you get on! So exciting. My symptoms have been so much worse this time round, you're so lucky you're not feeling too bad, I envy you 😂 I'm in the south east so we've had A LOT of snow - wish it was just a light dusting and now slushy mush!

@rollerskaterdata thank you. I'm in the US. I have a normal doctor but needed to find and sign up with an obstetrician for all things pregnancy. They made me an appointment at 11 weeks for my scan and I need to go in a week before for bloods. They said I'd have an appointment about every 3-4 weeks for the first couple of months then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks then weekly after that. Happy to answer anything or keep you updated with my appointments of you are interested 😊 I'm feeling completely out of my comfort zone, I have spent years researching all of my NHS options, appointments, procedures etc and now it feels like I am starting again.
