Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

Morning, just checking in.

@rollerskaterdata so glad everything went well at the scan.

Our offer got accepted on a house so fingers crossed we will be in it early in the new year. Glad looking around houses every weekend is done, it is so hard to narrow our choices down. Anyway, it's done now and we love our choice.

NoseringGirl · 26/11/2018 11:31

Morning!
Congratulations on the house @NeverHadANickname sounds exciting!

I'm CD15 now and waiting to hopefully ovulate. Wasn't going to do OPKs but cracked yesterday and it was close to positive. It was a lot fainter this morning and had a temp drop. Worried I'm going to have another long anovulatory cycle.
Hope everyone else is doing better!

NeverHadANickname · 26/11/2018 18:49

@NoseringGirl I think I had a positive just after a little drop in temperature but it's all still new to me. I always had faint lines on a morning and stronger on a night. I am due my period early next week but the last week feels like it has taken a whole month already!

NoseringGirl · 26/11/2018 19:39

@NeverHadANickname the time really slows during that 2WW doesn't it?!
My OPK this afternoon was similarly faint so definitely on the way down from yesterday. Will just have to see what my temp does in the morning and go from there.

mussie · 26/11/2018 21:19

@NoseringGirl @NeverHadANickname my TWW is dragging too! Had some kind of really long surge and only ovulated on the 22nd, about 4 days late 🙄 meaning it's almost impossible for me this month, as was away from DH then. But bless the Countdown to Pregnancy website - it thinks that because I've had sore boobs for a few days, that it's more likely I'm pregnant, despite only DTD once on the first day of the fertile window 😂

Hope you guys get the high temps you want! I hate how long the TWW is, but it's always quite a relief when I know I've ovulated and I've done all I can and it's just time to chill out for a bit. Long may the relaxation last 😂

NeverHadANickname · 27/11/2018 13:12

Last month was a 25 day cycle for me (very unusual) and I'm on day 24 now. I'm dreading that feeling of my period coming.

NeverHadANickname · 28/11/2018 13:18

I am in a random bad mood today and even more so because I was last month when I period started.

Honestly, I used to think people got a bit carried away with symptom spotting, especially if they were so close after ovulation, but I am getting ridiculous with it. My other half isn't helping, everything I say he thinks is a symptom of being pregnant. Last night he came home and smelt funny. I couldn't put my finger on it but then realised it was minty and asked him. He has he had chewing gum earlier in the day but not for a while, it was literally all I could smell! Then there is the cramps I don't know if I usually get, the feeling of things pulling when I move, sore boobs etc. Gah!

rollerskaterdata · 28/11/2018 14:36

@NeverHadANickname symptom spotting is nearly impossible not to do, don't beat yourself up! Especially when they sound like very convincing symptoms! The month I got pregnant I was 5dpo and went to visit my mum, she lived in a nice block of flats but all I could smell was vomit in the communal area very strongly! She normally has the nose of a bloodhound too but couldn't smell anything and quipped "maybe you're pregnant". I thought it was way too early to be getting symptoms but she was right! Fx this is it for you x

@rollerskaterdata thank you 😊 it's so good to have this to rant on. I'm just in a bad mood really, I know other people have it worse but it is still frustrating. I have come out to have a look around a local farmers market which I usually enjoy. They do good 🍰 so I will get us all some 😁

rollerskaterdata · 29/11/2018 22:22

@NeverHadANickname rant away! And oooo cake, yum! Pass me a wedge slice 😁🍰...or maybe don't. I think I'm already putting on too much weight and I've only just entered the second trimester! 🤦‍♀️

@rollerskaterdata haha I don't have that excuse. I'm not working at the minute and feel like i just eat all day. DH having a bad day with some personal stuff so i have come out for Chinese food to take home so we didn't have to cook. One of them comes with brocolli so surely a health food.

rollerskaterdata · 29/11/2018 22:53

@NeverHadANickname haha of course! If it's got green stuff in it it's definitely healthy 😁 I hope your DH is ok and it's nothing serious? Ignore me if I'm prying xx

@rollerskaterdata he is doing ok, thank you for asking. His Mam died about three months ago now and he had to take the afternoon off to go places for things for her will. Her death was a real shock and he is an only child so it hasn't been easy.

RandomUsernameHere · 30/11/2018 12:11

Really sorry to hear that @NeverHadANickname x

NeverHadANickname · 30/11/2018 12:17

Thank you @RandomUsernameHere he copes fine most of the time but buries things and likes to do a lot on his own but I try to be there for him. I think TTC is helping keep him sane at the minute and something to look forward to.

rollerskaterdata · 30/11/2018 16:02

@NeverHadANickname I'm really sorry to hear that, coping with the death of a parent isn't easy. Sending hugs and positive thoughts your way xx

Thank you @rollerskaterdata.

So 1st December brought our elves (yes, we do elf on the shelf for each other 😁), a kitchenaid mixer we bought with some money we were given, and AF 😒 at least it meant I could have a glass (or seven) of wine last night.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

NeverHadANickname · 10/12/2018 13:34

It is quiet around these parts. Hope you all had a good weekend and are getting into the Christmas spirit.

NoseringGirl · 10/12/2018 17:38

AF got me a few days ago so onto the next cycle for me. Nicely distracted by Christmas though! Hope everyone is keeping well.

mussie · 10/12/2018 20:50

Yeah all quiet for me really. In the long limbo I have between AF and FW - I have a 30 day cycle and roughly 10 day LP. The Christmas tree is up and Christmas snacks are out, it's very cosy. Hoping I have a babe in arms in time for next Christmas! New job is starting in a couple of weeks, and the prep is keeping me very busy indeed.

If I get a BFP this cycle, it will be on New Year's Day! What a start to 2019 that would be Smile

NeverHadANickname · 12/12/2018 17:44

Good to hear from you both. AF for me was December 1st so that made me sad at the start of the month. It does mean that I am coming up to my fertile time though so that's good and I will know before the new year if this is our cycle or not. Fingers crossed for you all.

rollerskaterdata · 13/12/2018 16:29

I'm still here, glad to hear you ladies are doing well but sorry to hear AF got some of you. Here's hoping for a Christmas / New Years BFP for all of you! It took me a bit longer this year but I'm fully in the festive spirit now and driving my family insane with Christmas songs 😁🎅

Sooo...today I went for a private gender scan that I had booked last week during a moment of weakness when I thought I wanted to find out the sex rather than staying team yellow. Since booking it I've changed my mind (again!) but went to the scan anyway so as not to waste money as they don't give refunds. I asked them to find out but not tell me or DH and instead write it on a piece of paper in a sealed envelope (they told us when to look anyway at the appropriate times when they were doing the scan). So now I have an envelope in my house burning a hole through my dresser that contains the sex of my unborn child. I hope I can resist peeking for the next 24 weeks!!! 🙄😱

Oh my goodness @rollerskaterdata ! we have decided not to find out when I do get pregnant but not sure my resolve would hold if it was written down for me and in the house. At least you got to see the baby again.

rollerskaterdata · 14/12/2018 20:56

@NeverHadANickname it's driving me crazy. I really want to stay team yellow but in equal measure I'm desperate to know! 🙄

@rollerskaterdata what does your DH think? Does he want to know?
