Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

Hey @rollerskaterdata good thankyou!! I'm glad I found this thread (I wouldn't have found it if it didn't come up on the homepage!) I'm on cycle four this year - currently CD22 and haven't had one positive OPK yet.. had my CD21 bloods yesterday though which will be a bit pointless, I reckon I'll have a long cycle again. Just ploughing along 😂😂 how are you? Xx

NeverHadANickname · 19/11/2018 02:14

@rollerskaterdata we have pretty much agreed I ovulated yesterday but I might try the more expensive ones next month. We DTD every day or every other day so I don't suppose it matters too much when I ovulate, we should catch it as it stands in theory. Exciting you are close to scan day. Hope everything goes well.

@mussie well done on the drinking front. I know exactly what you mean about doing something about TTC when you can. It's nice to feel like you are contributing something extra to the cause.

rollerskaterdata · 19/11/2018 12:52

@cupcakesandglitter I'm so glad you found us 😁 have your cycles always been long or you think it's just a fluke cycle? What are the bloods for? Sorry I'm not clued up on CD21 blood tests 🤦‍♀️ lol! Hoping you get a BFP soon! I'm currently sat in hospital, I have a nasty viral infection borne out of a cold and feeling very sorry for myself! Looks like I'll be off work for a little while until this rides it's course x

@NeverHadANickname I've heard DTD every other day is the best way so good going, it gets knackering though! I wasn't used to that much sex 😂

Hope you feel better soon @rollerskaterdata Thanks

NeverHadANickname · 19/11/2018 17:11

@rollerskaterdata haha. I suppose we are still in our 'honeymoon phase'. We have been together a while but only living in the same country the last six weeks or so and married a month ago today. I'd be happy if this continued forever though. I hope you feel better soon. Plenty of rest.

Pinkroseuk · 19/11/2018 19:09

Hi all- still not getting notifications so will catch up with you all this evening - AF arrived here today so booked up my HSG and blood tests for the rest of the month!

cupcakesandglitter · 19/11/2018 20:05

Hey @rollerskaterdata sorry to hear you aren't feeling great, hope you're resting up Thanks since we've been TTC they've messed up, I think I'm ovulating around now (CD23) so it's another long cycle for me too! Bloods are to check if I've ovulated (but I know I hadn't before then so they're pretty useless really!!) xx

NoseringGirl · 19/11/2018 20:30

@cupcakesandglitter can you ask for another progesterone test for when you know you'll be 7DPO?

@Pinkroseuk was that the tablet induced AF? Glad you've managed to get your tests booked in!

Pinkroseuk · 19/11/2018 20:31

Yes @NoseringGirl - it works every time just got to get my weight down- put 1.5kg on since Saturday - I'm thinking it's linked to AF so sticking to my diet and hoping I loose it as quick as I put it on!

cupcakesandglitter · 19/11/2018 20:50

@NoseringGirl I'm hoping so, just waiting for my positive OPK! Had EWCM just now so hopefully over the next couple of days I'll get my positive, and then I'll ask for seven days after that xx

NoseringGirl · 19/11/2018 21:00

@Pinkroseuk my weight always goes up around AF too. I'm joining you on trying to lose weight. I gained so much through comfort eating on this last cycle. I always let myself have a couple of days of eating what I want just before AF. However because it took so long to arrive, I just kept eating badly. I'm 11kg heavier than I was when I got pregnant with DS2 and need to shift it (and then some!) I know it'll prevent me ovulating if I can't get it down.
I'm finding it so hard at this time of year though, so many tasty treats around! How are you finding it?

@cupcakesandglitter sounds like ovulation is close, good luck!

cupcakesandglitter · 19/11/2018 21:05

@NoseringGirl thankyou! How're you? X

Pinkroseuk · 19/11/2018 21:08

@NoseringGirl yes I have done that too - thinking it was on way so eating and slowly put the pounds on!
I'm not doing too badly - lunch is now a banana and a 1.5 mile walk as I have a desk job so not the most active in the week- stuck with breakfast the same (generally toast) and just cut evening meals down and reduced my carbs. Snacking is my let down as DH has diabetes so when his blood sugar levels go down and needs a snack I have been joining him! He's now snacking in a different room to me so I don't!
I have also given myself a little prize which sounds daft but if I get through the day sticking to diet and doing exercise I get to look on the mothercare website or something for 10 mins! It's bribery really lol!
We have really enjoyed trying some new recipes though as we get stuck having the same meals over again- does anyone else do this or just me?!

NoseringGirl · 19/11/2018 21:09

@cupcakesandglitter the bleeding seems to have slowed to light spotting so I'm just waiting to see if I ovulate this cycle now! Trying to decide whether to bother with OPKs or try a more relaxed approach. I still track my temps so will hopefully know if I ovulate.

NoseringGirl · 19/11/2018 21:12

@Pinkroseuk I love the idea of a little treat at the end of the day! I'm terrible at treating myself with food so it's good to try and think of other things as treats too! We also tend to stick to the same meals. I'm terrified of food disappointment, I feel rubbish if I eat something I don't like because I've wasted calories on something I didn't enjoy. I'm aware of how ridiculous that is but it means I stick to what I know a lot of the time!
Breakfast is the hardest for me, I struggle to find things I like that aren't just carbs.

Pinkroseuk · 19/11/2018 21:17

Yes I was trying to stop the treating with food and find other things - sometimes I like just something simple like just taking the time for a soak in the bath!
No I know exactly what you mean- we did parsnip and potato mash the other night and I was scared I would hate it but was actually really nice!
Yeah breakfast is a pain- if I have cereal it ends up soggy and abandoned and I don't like eggs so have stuck with the toast or something like a thin bagel but not sure there very healthy either! I have breakfast at 7 and lunch at 2 so for me it's a long gap too!

rollerskaterdata · 21/11/2018 13:37

Hi ladies, how are you all getting on? I had my 12 week scan today and I'm due end of May 😊 I have a very active little baby in there!
