Hi all! I was away for the weekend, it helped to take my mind off things an enjoy some quality time with DP.
@loveshinealight sorry to hear that, fx for next month!
@GlamourBear any update on the spotting today?
@Fae1989 sorry about the bfn, 11dpo is still early though!
@ChikiTIKI glad to hear no AF yet!!
I've not tested again since the BFN at 10dpo. Temp drop this morning to just above coverline which I get before AF (expected tomorrow), and feeling low on energy and weepy today which happens without fail the day before AF so I don't need to test - I'm 99% certain she's on her way. However am having cramps which are unusual for me before AF and are localised on the side I ovulated on and have painful BBs, again not usually an AF symptom for me but I think I was so so hopeful this month for a May baby that I've been super sensitive to my body and made things more intense by 'willing' them on if you know what I mean?
@Fae1989 I really recommend temping, I use this one: www.amazon.co.uk/Smart-Basal-Thermometer-Femometer-Intelligently/dp/B072JRPYFR/?tag=mumsnetforum-21 it's a wee bit expensive but it's so easy to use (it connects to your phone via bluetooth and does everything automatically) which is probably the only reason I've managed to keep up with temping. The associated app is good and I do use it but I've also been putting the data into Fertility Friend too because it draws a coverline for you and I think their predictions are better (plus many other features like being able to see charts similar to yours). It also helps to analyse patterns if you keep inputting data as I describe below.
I use clearblue advanced. I wasn't getting any peaks with the OPKs so switched to clearblue advanced (which also track estrogen) and it's much clearer and consistent. I don't seem to get the 'flashy' smileys either at all or only for half a day. Therefore the clearblue along with temping and checking CM has helped me see the exact pattern of my window, and I have really needed all 3 methods as you'll see:
Avg. 25 Day Cycle
O-3 (usually CD9): Large amount of EWCM, negative OPK
O-2: EWCM, negative OPK
O-1: EWCM, and either: Flashy smiley AM with Solid smiley PM, OR, Straight to solid smiley (solid smiley then displays for 48 hours so testing has finished for the cycle).
Ovulation day: Watery CM, small BBT drop
O+1: Creamy CM, BBT shoots up.
I was able to predict 4 days before O with CM, I knew the day before O with OPKs, and I confirmed O with temping. Charting and putting in data in fertility friend helps you see patterns very clearly.
Sorry if that was boring/TMI, but it's been trial and error for me so if I can help anyone else then that's good!
My next predicted ovulation is Sept 15th. DP wanted a summer baby (me a spring one) so on the bright side (for him) at least he might end up getting his way at this rate.. sigh.
