Anybody else? I'm on CD16, pretty sure I ovulated over the past day or two, now for the long frustrating wait to POAS! Why is it so hard to resist for 14 measly days?!

We are TTC #2 and this is our first cycle of trying.

I am 12 dpo and I started having spotting this morning...just a little, but I know it is a sign that AF will arrived in 2 days or so. My AF should arrive on Thursday. Sometimes as hard as it is, I just got to accept it, and try to move on. On that note, I am due to ovulate again on the 20th of September.

My basal body thermometer is ready, and I am ready to rock n roll Grin ...trying to find the silver lining and all that.

I have always just used the normal opk strips. I was just wondering now if I should invest in the clearblue monitor.... who else uses them? I would love to hear your thoughts.

ChikiTIKI · 03/09/2018 18:17

Sorry to hear that @Carastarchild. I've never done temping so not sure about that.

I have a really gross symptom and have done some googling but not convinced if this is a sign of pregnancy... It's unpleasant so please look away now if you don't want to hear about it... Once today (just now- quite a lot) and once yesterday (a bit) I've had REALLY thick yellowy white CM. So thick it's like a blob of glue or something that could be picked up. Sorry it's so gross :( anyone know if this is an implantation sign?

Fae1989 · 03/09/2018 19:29

@LottieB87 - glad you had a nice weekend away! Thanks for the info and advice! Not boring at all, very interesting and informative :)

@Pops1985 - I can definitely see it! How exciting :)

Fae1989 · 03/09/2018 19:32

@ChikiTIKI - we’re all here to help! I don’t think many of us are squeamish anymore haha. I actually had something similar when I first conceived but I was convinced it was just the stuff I get before af shows up. Mine was yellow/cream coloured too. Fingers crossed for you!!

Fae1989 · 03/09/2018 19:56

Pretty sure I'm out. BFN 12 dpo. Wish it didn't hurt every time but it does :(

ChikiTIKI · 03/09/2018 20:15

thanks @Fae1989. sorry about your BFN. still got my fingers crossed for you too, still a chance for us both this month.

Fae1989 · 03/09/2018 21:12

@ChikiTIKI - thank you lovely. Fingers crossed for us both :) let me know how you get on

Carastarchild · 03/09/2018 22:01

I was pregnant with my first and only ds a long time ago, so all I can remember is that I had really bad heartburn which prompted me to test.

Good luck @chikitiki and @fae1989. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you guys 🤗

@Lottieb87 I love all the information. I am really like that myself. Thanks for your input Flowers

Fae1989 · 03/09/2018 22:03

@Carastarchild - thank you lovely. There’s always a silver lining :)

Carastarchild · 03/09/2018 22:06

This is why I take vitamin C

"Vitamin C: A study in Fertility and Sterility showed that Vitamin C increases fertility in some women with short luteal phases. In the study, 25% of the women who received Vitamin C had gotten pregnant within six months compared to the placebo group in which only 11% got pregnant."

Carastarchild · 03/09/2018 22:25

@Glamourbear how are you getting on? I literally had a bit of spotting this afternoon, and then nothing all evening. I know once I see any form of bleeding that it has never been good news for me. I called in to my local health shop after work, and I was told that vitamin b6 does help with luteal phase defects. The owner advised me to take a complete b complex with my vitamin b6, so to ensure I had a balanced intake of b vits. She even gave me 10% off when I told her why I was buying them and she wished me luck....love it!

@fae1989 Together we will all get through this [Smile]

Flossytots · 03/09/2018 23:06

Hi all🤩
Would love to join in the madness that is the 2ww. I’m 28 ttc#1 and on cycle 2. I will be 1dpo tomorrow and fully armed with IC, boots hpts and 1 first response from last month. I can already tell how this is going to go 😂 keeping my fingers crossed for everyone. Flowers

GlamourBear · 04/09/2018 07:18

@Carastarchild well it started again for a few hours then stopped again. Spotting for me isn't unusual though. Thanks for the info about the vitamins, will have a look into it as I'm not great with vitamin taking in all honesty!

Two more BFN’s so not sure what that means, maybe a chemical? Just want to know one way or the other, the waiting game is the worst!

Hope everyone else is doing ok, this all takes its toll!

Flossytots · 04/09/2018 07:44

@GlamourBear I’m sorry to hear about the spotting, fx its implantation.

Flossytots · 04/09/2018 07:47

@Pops1985 are you using the same brand of hpts?

Fae1989 · 04/09/2018 08:22

Morning ladies,

How is everyone this morning?

@Flossytots - welcome :) these ladies are so lovely here!

@Carastarchild - it's so good to have an online network like this isn't it, especially when AF appears!

@Pops1985 - sorry to hear that. When is AF due? Did you test again with an FRER? Hope you're ok.

AF arrived a day early for me. I knew she'd come because my boobs suddenly felt completely painless. Boo :(

Fae1989 · 04/09/2018 08:25

@GlamourBear - fingers crossed for you! Vitamins are a good shout @Carastarchild - B vitamins are good for helping with fatigue etc as well aren't they?

Pops1985 · 04/09/2018 08:38

That’s a good point, I used a different brand last night and this morning, haven’t used another FRER.

It’s hard to tell when AF was due, techically last Friday but I didn’t ovulate until CD20, so would be 13 or 14 dpo today, which should be enough for at least a faint line. Ergh, I promised myself I would keep a casual attitude towards TTC for at least 6 months and here I am month 1 and driving myself crazy!

GlamourBear · 04/09/2018 08:54

I'm just waiting for AF to appear in sure it's lurking! But thanks for the fxing!

@Pops1985 a false positive is extremely rare from what I've read especially with FRER. Maybe the other brand aren't as sensitive!

Keep us updated 😊

Update - AF is finally in full swing I think. Must say I'm a bit relieved as the limbo time is not fun!

October BFP here I come......

LottieB87 · 04/09/2018 10:20

Morning all

@Fae1989 I came on this morning as well :(

I had a massive row with DP last night and today I just feel destroyed. I don't even know if I want to try again next cycle. I'm extremely menstrual so I'm probably just ovary-acting (lol). :(

LottieB87 · 04/09/2018 10:21

@GlamourBear Oh no I'm sorry to hear it!

GlamourBear · 04/09/2018 10:27

Thanks Smile was only our first month and I was really great with opks so it was quite unlikely that it was going to happen really. I just had some very odd pms symptoms it seems as they were very similar to my previous early pregnancy symptoms.

So I am promising myself that this month I will be better with opks and working out when I'm ovulating and I WILL NOT OBSESS OVER SYMPTOMS FROM 1dpo (who am I kidding!!)

Oh and no testing until AF is 2/3 days away at least!

Carastarchild · 04/09/2018 13:40

Well Aunt Flo has been rather busy today! She caught me too Sad

@Glamourbear @LottieB87 and @Fae1989 so sorry to hear AF arrived for you all too. At least we can move out of limbo land, and we get another chance to get a shiny BFP!

@Pops1985 I agree with the other ladies that the test may not have been sensitive enough. Test again in the morning with a FRER. HCG doubles every two days, so fx it will be much stronger tomorrow.

Welcome @Flossytots...I have a feeling this will be a very luck thread!

@LottieB sorry to hear about you and your DP arguing. I really don't believe men truly understand how hard ttc is for us ladies. Mainly, I think the emotional rollercoaster is one which we even find ourselves difficult to deal with at times, no mind them. Take care of yourself Flowers
