Anybody else? I'm on CD16, pretty sure I ovulated over the past day or two, now for the long frustrating wait to POAS! Why is it so hard to resist for 14 measly days?!

We are TTC #2 and this is our first cycle of trying.

@Fae1989 hello! I'm good thanks you?

I generally start using them the day before my app tells me I'm in my fertile period just in case. I test in the evening as that's usually just before we dtd anyway! I'm sure I have read on here that some people test more than once a day to catch the surge of hormones that give you a positive OPK.

I find it all very confusing Confused

Hi ladies,

Tonight has pulled on my heart strings, we've been with friends who have a little 3 month old baby boy!

I've been lightly bleeding all day but it's nothing like my normal AF as it's usually quite heavy!
Not sure what's going on tbh! Just waiting and seeing if it lasts or not 😣

Fae1989 · 08/09/2018 22:16

@GlamourBear - I'm good thanks, glad you are too. Thanks for the tip, will start the day before the window and see what comes up! It is so confusing! Now the process starts again! At least AF has packed her bags for a while (hopefully nine months ha ha!)

AnxiousBetty - fingers crossed for you! Let us know how you get on.
x

Pebblespony · 09/09/2018 00:45

I'm due AF tomorrow. I haven't tested yet. Think I'll hold off until I'm very late. I found the first trimester extremely nerve wracking last time so I'd like to keep it as short as possible. No symptoms anyway except some lower back pain but I presume it's not a real symptom!

LondonKez · 09/09/2018 10:14

Morning all!

Been off a few days while I try and distract myself in this 2ww!

@fae1989 I started using OPKs last month. They say to start testing on CD10? I got my positive on CD12 and ovulated 14/15 (my 2 apps are giving me different dates!)

LondonKez · 09/09/2018 10:15

Fingers crossed for those getting ready to test! Will be checking back in to see how you all get on 🤞🏼

Pebblespony · 09/09/2018 12:28

I caved and tested. Positive.

cupcakesandglitter · 09/09/2018 12:36

Omg @Pebblespony congrats!!! X

Pebblespony · 09/09/2018 12:37

I was out last night. Really wish I'd had a few drinks! It's very early though so I'm trying to keep calm.

Pebblespony · 09/09/2018 12:54

Thanks. I'm delighted. And a bit emotional!

Flossytots · 09/09/2018 18:09

Hi everyone, hope you’ve all had a good weekend. @Pebblespony congratulations🎉🎉 such exciting news. I’m only 6dpo today and planning to test either on Thursday or Friday 😬😬 if I can hold off the urge to POAS 👀😂

LondonKez · 09/09/2018 19:34

@pebblespony congratulations!!

@flossytots how are you? I'm a bit crampy today but don't know if it's just because I'm tired.

I've managed to refrain from poas other than OPKs so far, but cheapies tests came in bulk with the OPKs and it feels like a slippery slope!

ChikiTIKI · 09/09/2018 19:48

Congratulations @Pebblespony :) lovely news!

I'm trying not to think about TTC too much while AF is here. Can't help it though and wondering if I should try using OPKs... I don't want to "waste" another month. My husband doesn't want me to use them, at least not yet...

Struggling a bit this weekend as I'm very tired and have severe PTSD from trauma of my first birth so lots of flashbacks etc at the moment. Always worse when I am tired and stressed. Obviously not helped by TTC either but I decided for me it's better to have another baby now than wait another year or two (in which time I would be worrying about it all the time anyway) and to just go for it. Trying to power through with a bit of positivity but it's not easy though!

Bubblemumma1 · 09/09/2018 19:55

Congratulations @Pebblespony

Sorry to hear about your PTSD @ChikiTIKI

ChikiTIKI · 09/09/2018 20:05

Thanks @Bubblemumma1 xxx

Pebblespony · 09/09/2018 20:21

Thanks everyone.

Flossytots · 09/09/2018 20:28

@LondonKez I’ve been good, how are you holding up.I’m in the same boat as you...loads of tests taunting me 😂😂I’ve also started to feel some cramps and have been taking trips to the loo to check if anything is going on. Fingers crossed the cramps are a sign for a sticky bean 🤞@Chikitiki I’m sorry to hear about your PTSD, sending positive vibes your way 🌸🌸

Carastarchild · 10/09/2018 11:28

@Pebblespony wow! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy 🎉

Carastarchild · 10/09/2018 11:32

Just reading back. Busy weekend 🤗

Carastarchild · 10/09/2018 11:47

@Chikitiki I had a difficult delivery with my son. He was sunny side up or otherwise described as posterior presentation. I went to an energy healer to help release all the trauma. I actually felt much better afterwards. My mum had six children and she said each one was different. Sending you a massive virtual hug 💜

I hope everyone else is doing well. I'm CD 7 and AF has left. I am going to start testing with the clear blue ovulation monitor tomorrow. I didn't realise you can only enter in a new cycle only between cd1 and CD 4, so my clear blue calendar is a bit out now in terms of when my cd1 was. It's saying that I am CD 5. Anyhow hopefully it will be fine.

Good luck to everyone due to test for a BFP.

ChikiTIKI · 10/09/2018 16:57

Thanks @Carastarchild I'm having EMDR and will have a c section next time so the same mistakes won't be made again. Still very worried though. I am partly praying for twins so that I definitely will only feel the need to do this once more. But also wondering if I could actually handle twins!! I don't know... :)

Good news though, my period is in 5th day so pretty much finished now. Time to focus positively on the next month!

LondonKez · 10/09/2018 20:09

Sorry to hear about your PTSD @chikitiki a friend of mine suffers and found NLP to be helpful. I don't have first hand experience so I've seen how difficult it can be to manage. I hope you have a great support network around you and fx for next month🧡

How is everyone? I have been left to my own devices this evening and instead of relaxing, I've started to Google/reading threads from 2012 and trying to match every little twinge 🤦🏽‍♀️

LondonKez · 10/09/2018 20:10

@chikitiki that should say *'but I've seen', not so!

Carastarchild · 10/09/2018 22:25

@Chikitiki I meditate daily, and practice mindfulness. I find that helps keep everything in balance. Do whatever you feel works for you! I hope you are feeling better...remember a problem shared is a problem halved.

@London How many dpo are you now....I know what you mean! That is why I started logging my own sypmtoms! It's crazy how easy I forgot month to month what happened.

I am using the clearblue monitor for the first time tomorrow...I will only be cd 8, so I guess it will be low fertility. The sticks are expensive! I was lucky that they were reduced in boots....everything is expensive ttc at times.

Carastarchild · 10/09/2018 22:39

@Chikiticki twins are wonderful but hard work. It's also harder being pregnant with twins. I told my dh I wanted to have a home birth and he nearly collapsed Hmm
