Anybody else? I'm on CD16, pretty sure I ovulated over the past day or two, now for the long frustrating wait to POAS! Why is it so hard to resist for 14 measly days?!

We are TTC #2 and this is our first cycle of trying.

I need to read back and see when you are all ovulating and expecting to test this month. I will be a bit later than most of you I think. My app says I will ovulate on 25th sept but I think it will be around the 23rd actually. One full month now since stopping breastfeeding (we had gone down to once a day for a few weeks before that). And this period seems much more like the ones before having a baby. So trying to be optimistic about that. My body is getting more back to how it used to be I think.

Should be able to test around 10th October but really think I need to wait until AF is definitely late and I have more pregnancy symptoms before testing. I know I will struggle to do that but it's my baby's first birthday and husbands birthday in October and I don't want TTC to overshadow any of the celebrations. Let's see if I can wait until I have actually been sick to take a test.... I can set unrealistic goals can't I??! :)

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 21:01

@Flossytots a drawer full 😅 Wow! I have two 😁 Af is starting to ease off. I am snuggled up on the couch watching TV.

@Chikitiki that's great that your body is starting to get back to normal. How about we do a post with everyone's stats. That way we can get a better idea of what is happening for each one of us. I promised myself I wouldn't test until 12 dpo if I get that far. It's just too difficult dealing with the disappointment when a blank test stares back at me. My birthday is in October as well... I will be 37... I don't know how that happened Confused Try focusing on the celebrations and draw that happy energy closer to you Star

Hey ladies! This is my first ever post anywhere online!
Myself and my husband have been trying TTC for just over 2 years, I had a Laparoscopy as we went through Gyno to investigate possibly infertility and they said they wanted to do the op to clear some scarring, cysts and now I've been told I'm 'ready to go' haha (sperm tests done etc)! Before the op my cycle varied 27-31 days and last month after the op was 27 (op was mid June).

This is our 2nd month trying and I definitely ovulated this month - carefully paid attention to my body (mucus, pains, high soft cervix etc) and used clear blue purple which flashed for several days then static so I ovulated around 23/24/25 August (day 16-18 of my cycle). Over the coming days got various - nausea, very tired, very thirsty, headaches, cramps (like electric shocks) to name a few. I then started brown spotting on 2nd Sept meaning my cycle was 25 days only (unusual for my period) which was mixed with CM which then went into 1 day of heavy pink bleeding (my periods are normally very heavy for 1-3 days) and ended with spotting with a lot of CM in a very milky pink colour (Sorry TMI). My periods are never like this and this was about 1-1.5 days shorter than normal let alone the short cycle. I've done various pregnancy tests with the last one being this morning (7th Sept) but all say negative. Does anyone have any thoughts? Would be really helpful to hear your thoughts on what I should do next... Thank you so much, Amy x

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 21:39

@Amy what pregnancy tests are you using? Some pregnancy tests are more sensitive than others. Perhaps your body is just trying to find a natural rhythm after the operation. Brown blood is old blood.

Amy777 · 07/09/2018 21:46

@Carastarchild - First response and the hcg sticks but as I ovulated at cycle day 16-18 I assume my period date should start around day 28-30 but instead I was 3-5 days earlier than expected. I've also had so many symptoms - I feel pregnant if that makes sense. So odd. Yes thats why I found it unusual starting the bleeding with old blood (I've had periods since my op) and my periods never start with brown blood

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 21:48

@Amy how many days post ovulation are you. Sometimes tests don't go positive until after your period is due. In fact some women don't get a positive until several days after their missed period. A lot of women have spotting even when they are pregnant.

Amy777 · 07/09/2018 21:53

@carastarchild I ovulated on around 25/26 August so I'm currently 13 days PO. I've read this so wondering whether I keep testing daily or few days?

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 21:55

Freer hpt's are probably the best. Clear blue hpt's seem to cause a lot of confusion. Cheap strip pregnancy tests aren't great, as they typically need a higher level of HCG to turn positive. That's my experience anyway.

Amy777 · 07/09/2018 21:56

@Carastarchild Thank you so much for your advice :) i'm so grateful xxx

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 21:58

@Amy It all depends on when implantation occurred. HCG doubles every two days. Try to wait until Sunday to test again, as you will be 15dpo, so you should get a BFP if you are pregnant. I know it's hard but time will tell. I remember feel frustrated at the very thought of that, but it's true unfortunately.

I have my Fx crossed for you Flowers

Amy777 · 07/09/2018 22:01

@Carastarchild - I'll wait until Sunday and hope!!! Thank you so so much xxx

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 22:02

Feeling frustrated feel frustrated I hate typos Grin

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 22:05

@Any Let us know how you get on! Flowers

I started making notes on my calendar, because every month I keep thinking did this happen last month 🤔 At least now I can check back to the previous month.

AnxiousBetty · 07/09/2018 22:43

Hi girls can I jump on?

I'm in the tww!

I'm on the implant so we aren't actively trying to conceive but I have been experiencing a lot of odd symptoms.
I tested yesterday and got BFN

I passed only one tiny clot today but no other bleeding at all.

I'm currently experiencing cramping so I'm expecting to see af tomorrow or Sunday.

But in case she doesn't show I'll be testing on Monday again!
Due to the implant I have no idea when af is due

Carastarchild · 07/09/2018 23:57

Welcome @Betty fx for you 🤗

This is a lovely thread full of kind and supportive ladies.

Demiepaige · 08/09/2018 08:21

Morning, hope it’s okay to join? I am 3-4dpo possibly, due 19th sept. Cycle #2 for baby #3! Wishing you all baby dust xx

AnxiousBetty · 08/09/2018 08:30

I had some light bleeding this morning ladies so not sure if it's the start of af Confused
I woke up in the night for a wee and a drink, which I've been doing for 3 nights or so, but got awful cramps and couldn't get back to sleep Confused
I've got a pad on so I can keep track of bleeding etc. I'll let you know what happens

GlamourBear · 08/09/2018 11:28

Morning all!

Welcome to the newbies 😊 I should be ovulating somewhere around 16th September I think. AF is pretty much finished now yay!

Carastarchild · 08/09/2018 11:45

@Demiepaige welcome to the thread Flowers I have a feeling this is a very lucky thread! Thanks to the wonderful @Glamourbear for starting it.

@Anxious I am sorry to hear that Sad Fx it's just implantation...it's hard to know really, but it's not over til AF arrives.

Great to hear from you Glamourbear ! I was starting to feel a little lonely. I am still trudding along with AF...fx it will be finished soon.

I hope all the other ladies are doing well.

Demiepaige · 08/09/2018 12:01

Thank you! I’m counting down the days until I can test. Spent a fortune last month 🤦🏼‍♀️

Carastarchild · 08/09/2018 12:38

@Demie I know 😑 Pregnancy tests aren't cheap. Boot's do offers every so often on the frer tests so I try to stock up.

GlamourBear · 08/09/2018 12:55

@Carastarchild sorry I've had a busy week 🙈 I'll be better at keeping in touch this week!

I have also been guilty of spending back fortune on tests, they are so expensive!

Demiepaige · 08/09/2018 15:06

@carastar I have a local boots near me but they only have a small selection as it’s not a big shop 😩 only cb digi and boots pink dyes, I’m trying to hold out until test day this time as last time I tested from 9-10dpo like a crazy lady ended up 5 days late and not pregnant lol 🙈 just desperate and stressed ha! 😂

Fae1989 · 08/09/2018 17:05

Hi ladies,

How is everyone doing? Welcome new folks :)

@GlamourBear - glad she's gone!! FX for you this month! Hope you're doing okay?

@Carastarchild - how are you doing?

Tests are so expensive aren't they?! I did better this month, only bought some cheap ones but they still add up.

Anyone got any tips on when to start using the OPKs? AF is just about gone Grin and my cheapie OPK delivery came! Does everyone wait until their fertile window begins? I don't have a thermometer so can't temp!
