TTC baby number 3 at nearly 40

Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up!

Still no temperature spike so will make the most of today just in case. Going on a massive walk with our dog then planning a relaxing night together before he buggers off again tomorrow 😩😩😩😩

I’m taking the pregnacare ‘conception’ vitamins, I’ve never seen those seven seas ones before but will take a look 😊

Thank you. I'm wondering whether a vitamin b complex as I had irregular cycles after my first so took th3 Holland and Barrett one but this one has the 400ug of folic acid in. Ah ok, @Bloodylegoeverywhere , that looks good but I'd be tempted to take extra folic acid too, maybe a 400ug tablet every other day on top of that? X

Apparently we only need 400ug of folic acid a day and this has the recommend dose!? The pot of tescos own is 400ug and Google says that so I'm thinking that might be ok and then switch to actual pregnancy tablets if it works. So now need to decide on wether to try for cycle 3!?

God knows.... Will see what boots has tomorrow!

Hi and welcome @madamdarkin ! Wow, flying to Amsterdam to do the baby dance - that's commitment! Will you live in different countries once you have a baby? Exciting times ahead. Yes very hard to symptom spot - have you tested at all yet? If you have caught this month it's probably show up on an FRER by now.....

I'm on CD 9 already and wishing the month would go faster. After my little few days of excitement last month, it's made us both really really want it to happen! I want to see the second line so much this month.

How exciting @LatteLover12 ! Look forward to helping you symptom spot! Can I ask a stupid question? How do you take your temp when ttc? I've never charted or anything, just relied on Ewcm and opks, so the temp thing is a mystery to me....

Ooh, I love temping!

You need a special thermometer which reads to 2 decimal places to read your basal temperature. Super cheap from amazon. I use it with the fertility friend app (wont mention that I had paper charts 10 years ago!)

It’s best if you wake up at roughly the same time each day. You then take your temperature before you even sit up in bed and input the info to the app. The app then plots it all on a graph for you.

You get a dip pre ov and a spike post ov. If you’re pregnant temps will stay high. If your period is about to start your temp drops.

So @lattelover12 do you know much about temping? I'm on month 2 and my thermometer isn't a 2 digit (I know 🙄) and my this cycle and one before are shorter but...... my temp still hasn't dropped!? Let me get a pic.

Well it dropped for a couple of days (I had an extra 30 mins sleep this am) but didn't drop as much as I thought it would... if you see my temp last month on my af days. This is all I have so will keep at it. But hasn't gone that low!

I am definitely a ninja level charter

I was on 14dpo then at hit, but now cd2 and af seems to of got bored already....
