TTC baby number 3 at nearly 40

Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up!

Probably Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest that would be about 10/11dpo

I got a squinter on an IC with my DS at 9dpo so I know it can happen!

Really didn't think could happen so quick! Second month TTC but first we only BD the night I ovulated snd hadn't seen each other two weeks before then!

CD16 and still waiting for ov. Sigh. Mind you, am glad it's not today as DP is horrendously hungover and I think BDing may be a stretch for us both today

Felt really sick most of yesterday and had cramps really low down for a couple of hours last night.

DP came home unexpectedly so that has been a good distraction! I’m trying not to get his hopes up only to disappoint him.

My plan is to do an IC on Friday morning then if it’s +ive I’ll buy a FR to do with DP the next day.

I feel really hopeful but keep reminding myself that it’s our first month ttc and my first month off the pill. It took me a year to conceive DS1 (but I knew nothing about ttc then!)

Have you started with the OPKs yet?

Wow I'm impressed with your will power! So, I'm guessing Friday will be 13/14 DPO for you? Should get a strong line by then. Exciting.
Yep, I splashed out on the clear blue digital ovulation test this month. No smiley face yet. Should be ovulating around cd17/18 so fingers crossed I get the smiley face by then.

Haha, thanks, believe me, the IC are calling to me! My DP will be so excited when we get a BFP

Can I join you ladies? Turned 40 in August, TTC since March. DS 20 and 18, getting a bit stressed that it hasn't happened yet and all my eggs are wonky!

Welcome @BettyWoo ! Ha, I have the wonky egg worry too, it doesn't help that I don't seem to get on with these bloody opks. Sigh. I had a chemical pregnancy last month so am Keeping everything crossed for a strong sticky BFP this month xx baby dust to you! Xx

So I've had promising cm and expected to ovulate today but a big temp drop...(Yes I still need a new thermometer) it was slowly rising. All very odd!

@Bloodylegoeverywhere How frustrating to think you're there and then get a temp dip Gawd knows where you are? Keeping everything crossed that your body's gearing up for it in the next few days.
I've been using the opks every day since Friday, but still no smiley face. Predicted ov tomorrow, so am really hoping I'll see one then.

Hope you got your smiley! And even though that chemical pregnancy must have been so disappointing, it's a hopeful sign İ think! Fingers crossed for the next one to be sticky xx

This is our last month trying so we shall see. We did it fri and cm today showing I'm ovulating. Will keep an eye out for you all. Not leaving you just yet! Will be back on a 2ww from tmrw prob.....
