Mid August 2ww - anyone else out there?

Hi all! I'm in my first ever 2ww and was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Think I'm approx 1 dpo judging by previous cycle patterns, Ov pain and CM as I don't use OPKs or do BBT (too lazy!). Loosely followed SMEP this month, fx this is the month!

Age: 27
TTC: #2 (DS1 was a happy surprise)
Cycle No: 1
Cycle Length: 26-28 days
AF/BFP due: 29th August but I'll be testing on the 28th which will be CD 28

Looking forward to waiting with you all! And trying not to POAS at 5dpo !

@rollerskaterdata nope you're right, we are 😂 I thought it was the 23rd today, getting ahead of myself 😩 yeah I'm just gonna try and stay positive, I don't feel pregnant though actually. My mum was telling me whenever she tried it didn't happen, she only got pg when she wasn't trying. Thought about not even checking when I ov next month and just DTD whenever we feel like it - but then that also doesn't count as TTC so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

@cupcakesandglitter don't worry hun it'll be the 23rd in less than an hour! I have heard that before too, I guess it makes sense as stress isn't good for the body. Doesn't bode well for me then! And I've totally thought of doing that too next month, it does count (as we're still hoping to catch the eggy) I'm just worried if I throw abandon to the wind we may not BD at the right time and then it'll take even longer?! This TTC malarkey has got to be the least fun thing ever x

@rollerskaterdata I completely agree! It's hard not knowing, it's constantly have I done too much or have I done too little? So irritating! I get that it's all supposed to be fun, but it really is so stressful honestly, and I'm on month one!!!!

@cupcakesandglitter 😂 tell me about it! This is month one for both of us, imagine how we're going to be in a few months time! 🤪 (although I'm really hoping it doesn't take that long as I may lose my marbles!)

Did another test this morn...BFN :-( Think AF is due around Sunday and starting to feel pre-menstrual. Bugger it!

@KatnissK sorry to here of BFN, how many dpo are you if you don't mind me asking? You're not out until AF arrives! I totally get you though, I'm having mild cramps too and now that it's less than a week until AF due I don't know if it's a sign of pregnancy or body gearing up for AF! Damn it, why are pregnancy and AF symptoms so bloody similar?! 😔

@rollerskate - I'm really not sure, I think I ovulated around the 15th but that's a total guess. Yeah, it sounds stupid but when I got my bfp with my son I just "knew" I was pregnant (which is why I tested - I hadn't even had a missed period and got a bfp) and I just don't have that feeling. But fingers crossed AF doesn't rear her ugly head - you're right there are so many similar symptoms, it's quite cruel really!

@KatnissK I use an app so can identify with your uncertainty, without BBT / OPKs it's all guess work really! And it's not silly at all, with my DS I just 'knew' as well even though we weren't trying and he was a happy surprise. I feel that exact same way this month which is super weird, I just feel pregnant I can't explain it. If I'm wrong though I don't think I'll ever trust my body again lol! Still keeping my fx for you that it's your month 🤞

@rollerskate - ooh good luck, that's a good sign! When are you testing??? If AF doesn't show I will test again on Monday I think....if I can be that patient, haha!

@KatnissK well I'm a lot more impatient than I realised so I'll be starting from tomorrow at 10dpo 😂😂 not expecting much so early but I'm ok with that and won't be counting myself out until AF rears her ugly head! Hoping she won't though!

Yeah buckled and tested bfn but obviously only 8dpo

@rollerskaterdata well if you think of it this way... you are due your period about 14 days after you ovulate, the frer detects up to 6 days early so if you test on 10dpo you are only 4 days before your period so statistically speaking it shouldn't be too early 😁👍🏽

@thejollytrolleydolly 😁😁 I like the sound of that!! I've gotten myself so nervous about testing though I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight! 🤦‍♀️

@rollerskaterdata I'm going to test again on Saturday before the wedding and if still a no I'll try again next week. I daren't use my frer though because I only have one and they are expensive!!

No idea whether I'm even ovulating or not because we've literally decided only this month to try (last week) but dtd 3 times since Saturday. CBA with testing etc but I've had constant cramps and felt sick last night from them. I feel like I'm pregnant though. Gut instinct. We shall see..

9 DPO today and trying to wait as long as I can!

BFN for me this morning at 10dpo 😂 obviously too early! (was hoping I might be one of those lucky early implanters!). Will test again on Sunday at 12dpo and then on Tuesday with the rest of you at 14dpo!

Oh bad luck @rollerskate. Hopefully you're just a bit early! Fingers crossed!

Thanks ladies 😊 not feeling too down about it actually as I knew the risks of testing early. It's funny because I'm an analyst by profession and knew the probability of getting an early BFP and did it anyway! 😂 I don't regret it though, it's scratched my itch to POAS! Will keep testing over the next few days anyway but have also planned what I'm going to do differently next cycle if this month isn't my month, so feeling pretty optimistic!

@rollerskaterdata I tested again this morning too - SHOCK! 😂😂😂 I'm saving my frer until Tuesday though.

My boobs are feeling massive today and have had lots of creamy Cm all week - aren't you supposed to dry up after ov? I don't know if the boobs are a sign of incoming FP but I'm hoping not!

@thejollytrolleydolly 😂😂 I see what you mean - it kind of is fun isn't it?! Twisted fun though, you feel down initially after seeing a BFN but then perk up and can't wait to test again! 🤣 you're so disciplined! I'm only using FRERs so needless to say spent a small fortune this month. Even splashed out on 2 CB digitals but will save them until after period is due as I know they're not as sensitive (assuming it doesn't come!). I'm having a few unusual symptoms for me too which is why I felt so positive. I've had achy thighs and hips for the past 2 days now almost constantly which is so strange, it's freaking me out now! Add to that the still sore nips and occasional uterine pinches, pulls and twinges I feel like I'm falling apart!

@rollerskaterdata yeah I'm the same my lower abdomen is achy on and off with some backache, my boobs feel swollen and sore which I don't usually get until about 3 days before af and I'm still just under a week away if the apps are correct!

Who knows! I almost don't believe it will ever happen so I think I'll fall over if I ever get that second line!! Next month will be my 6th month of trying too as well! Ugh 😑 trying to stay positive so thinking of the tests as like a scratch card... I probably won't win but it will be amazing if one day I do!!
