Mid August 2ww - anyone else out there?

Hi all! I'm in my first ever 2ww and was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Think I'm approx 1 dpo judging by previous cycle patterns, Ov pain and CM as I don't use OPKs or do BBT (too lazy!). Loosely followed SMEP this month, fx this is the month!

Age: 27
TTC: #2 (DS1 was a happy surprise)
Cycle No: 1
Cycle Length: 26-28 days
AF/BFP due: 29th August but I'll be testing on the 28th which will be CD 28

Looking forward to waiting with you all! And trying not to POAS at 5dpo !

@rollerskaterdata yep it's annoying af! I'm on month 5 of it!

So I caved and tested this morn. Of course it was a bfn but it breaks the wait up for me and at most I will only be 7dpo anyway! Just felt good to POAS! 😂😂😂

Feeling crampy today very low down and there's a very strong smell of toast in my house 🤔 hope you guys are all getting on ok! Xx

I'm thinking Sunday because it'll only be a day before my expected period and it's the only morning DH isn't at work so at least we can share the news together.
I feel like I've got lots of weird symptoms, but that's all part of the glorious 2ww, isn't it ☹

@thejollytrolleydolly 😂 I'm glad there's someone else itching to POAS!! I'm 8dpo today and already googled like mad this morning seeing if other women have had BFPs at 9dpo so I can test tomorrow! Sensible head kicked in and I'm still going to hold off until 10dpo, so Friday at the earliest, as that'll be either 3 days or 5 days until AF depending on my cycle length this month. I'll use one of the shiny FRERs I bought 😂

@cupcakesandglitter I bought FRERs because quite frankly I'm obsessed with them. I have 4 now 😳🤣

@MsHopey I know what you mean. I have so many symptoms I normally don't get before AF (before AF I don't feel any different apart from a few cramps a week before it starts) and yet I've had all sorts the past week.

Arghhhh I just want to pee on a bloody stick already!

I've had a really weird tight feeling back yesterday and today. Frantically googling if it can be a symptom 😂

@rollerskaterdata what symptoms have you had?

I've had spotting which starting around 9dpo. Hot flushes. Increased thirst. Lots of CM which needs a panty liner. Cramping, some just on the left side. I've got 2 spots this week and I normally never get any. Got no sex drive at all, do thank God it's not my fertile week. Bloating on and off but the food I've been eating hasn't been the best.
It's probably in my head. But I want it so much.

@MsHopey sounds promising to me! It's odd as I had no symptoms with DS until 6 weeks so have nothing to compare it to! I've been bloated and gassy, sore nipples (very unlike me) cramps / twitchy uterus since soon after ovulation, was EXHAUSTED yesterday and just felt 'off', bouts of nausea and peeing little and often, I really hope this is it! Won't be testing until Friday earliest but this wait is getting to me more than I ever anticipated!

@cupcakesandglitter @rollerskaterdata if you want to use a cheapie to test just do it 😜 I feel better since, even though it was a bfn it took the pressure off a bit and it's made it easier to wait a few more days ✌🏼

I'll be ok with the wait from Saturday as I've got a wedding then my friend round for 4 days so I probably won't be thinking about it as much (thank god)!

I know we're both on cycle one. It took me 4 months with DS and it felt more like years. Time slows down to nothing during the 2ww.

@cupcakesandglitter @thejollytrolleydolly ooo you're deffo egging me on! 😜 cupcakes it is going to take everything within me not to test 2moro at 9dpo rather than Friday! I can't explain it and I know it sounds ridiculous as I'm sure many other women feel this way and end up not being, but I feel pregnant?!^^ Even though I wasn't expecting my son at all I just knew something was up almost like subconsciously? I feel that way now. I'm mad I know.

Already for next month planned though tbh. Got some fertility gel, ordered 100 OPKs and I'm going to try the SMEP plan. So if this isn't our month I've already got a plan to get the highest possible chance next month.
I'm hoping I don't need the back up plan, but better to be prepared xx

@MsHopey good plan! I did SMEP this month (using my app rather than OPKs) which we found fun but also a little bit stressful knowing we HAD to BD on certain days. I've decided if I'm out this month next month I'm going to use OPKs for the first time (a clear blue fertility monitor) and maybe pre seed? And will probably stick to every other day, I am slightly worried we overdid it this month by having sex at one point 4 days in a row...I've heard too much lowers sperm count. And obviously if I'm out it didn't work anyway 😂

@cupcakesandglitter shall we POAS tomorrow for the fun of it? We've got Poundland cheapies anyway! Might release some of that tension @thejollytrolleydolly was talking about 🤣

@MsHopey with my dd I bought a clearblue fertility monitor to help with month two it was so good I was pregnant before it arrived hopefully it’s the same for you!!

I am at 3dpo today. This is our TTC #1 and all symptoms are new to me. The strongest one was of yesterday when I met hubby after work (he already did groceries). Just few seconds before we started walking home, I sniffed a fish smell (we are nowhere near the fish market). And I asked him if he could smell it. He said "No". We kept on walking and I said there's really a fish smell. It was then he told me that his grocery bag got seabass for our dinner. It was just weird for me to sniff that smell from a distance. I also had sore nipples (right side) while at work this morning.

I feel soooooo pregnant! I also bought cheapie test (and found I could not even use to test them before my period. LOL) AF is due on 2nd Sept, so I'll probably wait until end of next week.

That's amazing. I can only hope I'm that lucky. Having a plan for next month does make me feel hopeful and a bit more relaxed if this month isn't a BFP.

Statistics I've read say SMEP gives you a 37% chance of getting pregnant, whereas normal sex every few days only had about a 25% chance.
I ovulated on CD10. Which was the first day of my fertile window. If I hadn't been checking I would have probably missed it! So OPKs are really worth having.

@cupcakesandglitter just checked the Poundland tests and they aren't that sensitive 😒 looks like I'll be waiting until Friday to use a FRER now anyway!

@MsHopey that's good to know! Hopefully it's worked for me then, not sure I could keep it up every month! As they say it only takes one time though (that's what I keep telling myself!)

Heyyy @Lov3Rosie I've been smelling strong smells today too! I'm about 7dpo but also could be 5 (not exactly sure when I ovulated!) I woke up smelling toast really strong and my dp said he had eaten some the night before and the empty plate was next to the bed (Idk if that counts?)

I felt really pregnant the first month we started trying I even got sick when trying to drink a glass of prosecco (very strange for me!) and alas I was not so I think my body plays tricks on me... I should really stop symptom spotting but I just can't help myself!!

Symptom spot update -

Been having dull aches a bit like gentle period cramps coming and going today which have also been aching in my lower back too... boobs feel heavy but not painful and I'm SOOOOO TIRED today - thank god work didn't call me and I now have an extra day off 😬

@thejollytrolleydolly dare I ask you to send a link? How sensitive are they? I think you're right, I can understand how POAS early sort of gives you a release...but not fully until AF due date comes and goes. Bittersweet I guess lol!

28/29 day cycle
Ovulated on CD 14 (15 August)

Currently on 6 DPO

Boobs have been tender basically 1 DPO and since yesterday my areolas have spread in size and the pigmentation sort of "spilling" over... had the same with my other two pregnancies!

Mild period like pain since yesterday (5 DPO) and today occasional lightening bolt vaginal pain....

So hard not to over think it! First two pregnancies were conceived month one, but I'm older now (37) so am totally over thinking!
