Another new thread! This is a lovely supportive thread for anyone who has suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately known as the penguin huddle- this is the place to survive the ups and downs of this crazy journey.

@clumsyfool sorry to hear of your losses.

That's great news about your referral... October's not too far away now. Hopefully you'll get some answers/ suggestions to work with.

@Lilimum4 my limited knowledge on the aspirin is that, it reduces the risk of clots forming that may inhibit blood flow to the embryo/ baby. That's as much as I know. Obviously it won't be suited to all women as some may have other health conditions etc that mean they are unable to take it, but for most its such a small dose that there shouldn't be many, if any side effects.

@ClumsyFool sorry one more question. When do you start taking aspirin

I’m on baby aspirin- as @littleray84 said, it can help if you have clotting issues but you are taking a small dose. I was advised to take it as soon as I had a positive test. If you don’t have clotting issues it won’t do any harm.

@Lilimum4 I don’t know when to take it really but like @Eastend2015 I will likely start if and when I get a positive test.

Congratulations @eastend and @kiltedsheep on those bfps ! I think that's 5 now from this thread in the last month or so!

Sorry to see a few newbies here. We all know too well how you'll be feeling and it's rubbish. It's important to remember that most women who miscarry go on to have a next healthy pregnancy, even those with recurrent. Try to stay positive, grieve, and focus on you xx

@littleray84 and @clumsyfool baby aspirin is generally safe to take but... if you need blood tests it would screw your results. I thought about doing the same but my sis who's a nurse advised against until gp gives the all clear. I'm under a consultant now anyway and he has advised baby aspirin from start of next pregnancy but not before. I'm 39.

Quick update from me. Had non pregnancy scans yesterday as part if recurrent testing - everything fine nothing out of the ordinary which is good. Just waiting blood results now. Officially cd 4, orderered next batch of opks to start Sunday.....

I've also booked in with an acupuncturist and nutritionist and am going to take Coq10 supplement alongside pregnacare based on researching into how to improve my egg quality. Then it's all down to Mother Nature!

@Yukka so pleased the scans were clear for you. Fingers crossed for bloods.

Interesting about the baby aspirin. My nurse at EPAU mentioned it during my MMC treatment but said I had to speak to GP before doing anything. Went to register the new pregnancy at GP yesterday and she said she'd only start me on it at 12 weeks if my mom had had high BP/pre eclampsia in pregnancy. So who knows! Xxx

Conceived first cycle ttc (felt insanely lucky) but mmc at 8.5 weeks.
Still very raw emotionally having had medical management for mmc this week.

Congratulations to everyone with BFPs, seems like a very luck thread :-) Hoping it's infectious.

Going to wait to get a bfn (oh how saying that hurts) before ttc again. Want to get pregnant again asap but realise we may not be as lucky as last time. At the epu they suggested waiting for first period before ttc (guess this is for dating reasons). Does it make a difference ttc before then from pov of not having waited for the current uterus lining to come out? Don't think I've explained that very well!

Could ask for some advice? I’m due to ovulate tomorrow temp has risen but negative opk?? And today I’ve had a small amount of pink spotting?? What does it mean??
Trying to keep my cool but since the miscarriage and complications I’ve kinda list the plot!

@Melpops36 I'm no expert but I think you already ovulated if you're temp roseandthe spotting could be from ovulation also. But jks anyway it's fun

Guys... I think I may have ovulated/be ovulating this month!!! Have a bit of ovary pain! This makes me even more convinced I didn't ovulate last month with having had no pains and being a week late.

Only thing though... Have had the non-fertile type of CM this last couple of days. Will check again now that I've got this pain. Will try and get OH in the mood later. We DTD twice at the weekend, but that was 3/4 days ago now.
I have been feeling slightly nauseous and my boobs feel bigger/slight twinges for about 2 or 3 days so good signs that the old hormones are doing something. Worked out I'm CD19, which is a bit later than my other post-miscarriage cycles, but the same as my post-pill cycles. Maybe I'm getting back to normal again!

@Melpops36 what CD are you? Similar thing happened to me last week... I thought I was ovulating but opk just flashing smiley and then was spotting then it turned out to be AF - mid cycle so think I ovulated super early or something but you could definitely be having ovulation spotting so definitely dtd just in case - best to cover all basis. My cycle is back to normal this time round so I think it is just post MC craziness.

@Melpops36 I meant last month not last week!

I’m cycle day 10 of a 24 day cycle! Only finished AF to on Sunday! Ahhh I don’t understand!

@KnitKitty FX that you are ovulating. I think I am/I have too. Got the static smiley on Monday evening but DH had to work late and was ill so no dtd Monday night or Tue morning but dtd last night and this morning and will do again tonight (as it's our anniversary so obligatory!, lol) and we did on Sunday so hoping that still in with a chance! Definitely had ewcm over last few days. 🤞🤷‍♀️

Can I ask - what is the whole pineapple thing? Is it pineapple juice or fresh pineapple and when to drink/eat? I know it's good when trying to bring on labour but I've seen posts about it being good when TTC.

Cycle after miscarriage is awful and making me angry. Opk negative but doesn't look far off... EWCM today.... Is ovulation coming? I will keep peeing on opks just in case. Even though I've told hubby I won't 😂

@Newbie21 you eat the pineapple core as it contains bromelain which can help thicken the uterine lining for implantation. Eat the core from 1dpo to 5dpo.

I've found it's the poas pregnancy tests that drive the crazy... the opk definitely help the sanity to prevail as it really does give you elements you can actually control ?just ask my 'poor' DH who had been jumped at 11pm and 6am in successive cycles following the positive opk!!

@Boboelephant I'm good thanks, I'm 9DPO according to FF, but 8DPO according to EWCM. Had a few cramps today but otherwise nothing else symptom wise. Just hoping for the best and keeping my fingers crossed.

@xJune88 keep peeing away! I normally get EWCM for about 5 days before ovulation so for me it's a sign fertile week has started.
@strawberrye ooh everything crossed for you hun! When is af due? Are you testing or not?
