TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 25 BFPs for all!
LittleLuce37 · 09/09/2018 08:05

@kisses4u that's amazing!!!

I'm feeling sorry for myself this morning. Went to a work birthday do last night. First time I've seen everyone since going off suddenly in April when we lost Ellie. Thought it would be a good idea rather than just going back into the office. So I had a few guns and now feel guilty cos I think I should be super healthy ALL the time to help TTC.

AF absolutely kicking my arse this morning. I don't know if it's psychological because every new cycle is like a kick in the stomach or if there is actually a difference and my periods are heavier/more painful than before Confused

keebo · 09/09/2018 08:05

@kisses4u that it pretty conclusive! Fx for you.

LittleLuce37 · 09/09/2018 08:30

@craftymum01 I dreaded Ellie's post mortem too but our consultant was really supportive and explained everything really well. Whilst it was still heartbreaking to do we did get some answers and a sense of relief from seeing it was nothing I had done wrong there in b&w... will be thinking of you when it comes.

(I found it useful to write down any questions in advance because I always forget when the time comes!!!)

Blondcat · 09/09/2018 08:59

@kisses4u wow now that is line! Congratulations x

Taylorsej17 · 09/09/2018 09:01

@Kisses4u Eeek that's definitely a positive!! Exciting times for you (nerve wracking as well but definitely exciting) If it would help ease any nerves maybe try see if your Epu will do an early scan soon for you?

I've resisted the urge to test again this morning, I've got all Af symptoms but no Af? Irritating!
Plus with me getting a Bfn on Thursday it seems too soon?

@Newbie21 how are you getting along? Hoping you're okay.

@hayleyfx maybe head to the Dr's for a blood test now if the lines are getting darker? There's a good chance it's a new pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you!

KnitKitty · 09/09/2018 09:33

@hayleyfx the limbo is really hard to deal with. I can imagine it might feel a bit too soon to be pregnant again, if you are, but maybe it's meant to be. It would take a lot of heart-ache out of the TTC part of things, so there's pros and cons. I just hope whatever the outcome is it's for the best and you get some answers soon. That test isn't even a squinter, and if you've had a negative on the same brand before, I'm inclined to think it's a new pregnancy. Here for hand holding. xxx

@Littleray84 My pertiod took 5 weeks after ERPC, but I was told to expect anything up to 8 weeks. It's just one giant waiting game. It's good that you've had BFN as that should indicate no retained products, so hope AF shows up soon for you.

@keebo huge hugs. Please don't feel angry with your body. It's done exactly what it should have done, sadly getting rid of a pregnancy that isn't meant to be is all natural and a miracle that our bodies can let go even when our minds don't want to. Be kind to yourself, your body needs time to grieve and heal too (it also wants desperately to be pregnant as much as you do - this is what it's been preparing for all your life). See it as an old friend who needs looking after and reassuring that it's doing well. That's how I see it anyway.
So pleased you're managing to focus on some positives to help you through the difficult times. I try to do that too when I'm down.
I am grateful that I can breathe again properly today! This asthma attack has really got me exhausted this week! (It's the small things! haha!)

Sending special hugs to @Newbie21 and @craftymum01

@kisses4u that looks fairly conclusive! Congratulations! I expect your emotions are all over the place right now. We're here for you. xxx

@LittleLuce37 It probably was a good idea to go to the do to help you ease back to work. It can't have been easy, so well done. Don't worry about letting your hair down. Sometimes we need to! It doesn't mean you're unhealthy if you're not healthy ALL the time!

So I think I'm out ladies.
I had some brown spotting yesterday and started with a bit of period "pain". No bleeding but still feeling periody. We'll see if AF shows up properly, as I did have a fair amount of spotting/bleeding with my first pregnancy, but I'm pretty sure I'm on to cycle 6 post MC now.
Not feeling too bad about it weirdly. I've been feeling a lot better in general, been feeling more back to normal and not grieving as badly and got other things going on, waiting for new job to start and helping my sister plan her wedding. If I'm not pregnant it's actually better timing for the wedding next year. Will keep you posted anyway because it would still be amazing if by some miracle I am preggo. Will probably know by the end of the day anyway.

Lilimum4 · 09/09/2018 10:08

@kisses4u congratulations hun Fx for a h & h 9 months.

craftymum01 · 09/09/2018 10:20

Thank you @LittleLuce37 and @knitknitty. This is our second post-mortem (different pregnancies) but writing down questions is a good idea as last time I was just trying to take everything in that she was saying.
Congratulations @kisses4u! Very exciting :) (though understandably terrifying at the same time!)

Pebblesandblamblam · 09/09/2018 10:57

Please can I ask a quick question? I'm 3 weeks post mmc. Cheap pregnancy tests look negative but still a huge stonking line on a frer. Do you absolutely have to wait for a negative before ttc again? I don't want to lose time waiting for a negative as I so desperately want to try and get pregnant again. Is there a chance of retained products even if I am no longer bleeding/ spotting?

Thank you in advance and wishing you all well.

Mumma100 · 09/09/2018 11:17

@kisses4u awww yay congrats!!!!!!

Martydog · 09/09/2018 11:53

Welcome to the new posters. Sorry for the bfns but congratulations for the bfps. I hope everyone is have a nice relaxing Sunday.
I am 12 dpo and I think I got a very faint bfp this morning. It is so faint I don’t think the line will even show up on a photo I had to moving it around to see it. I am going to test again tomorrow and hopefully it will go darker. I burst into tears when I saw it. 🤞🤞

Blondcat · 09/09/2018 12:03

@martydog ooh sounds promising 🤞🤞

Yukka · 09/09/2018 12:11

Congrats @kisses4u and tentative congrats @martydog.....! Lots of lovely bfps on this thread :)

@pebbles frer is most sensitive so your hcg levels are probably reducing back to normal nicely. A few more days will prob be negative too. Usually there’s no reason to wait a cycle it can just be a bit trickier to judge ovulation times so ovulation sticks can be useful. Unless of course you dtd and ovd in last 3 weeks...?

Pebblesandblamblam · 09/09/2018 14:18

Thanks so much @Yukka. We haven't dtd at all since the mmc so may have missed our chance already! I haven't been tracking ovulation but I think I will do from next cycle. We just dtd every other day (or almost!) and I was very lucky and fell first cycle of ttc. Feeling quite down today about it all, tomorrow would have been our 12 week scan. I know others have been through way worse, I just feel incredibly sad today.

Congrats to everyone with bfps, hope you all have uneventful pregnancies ahead. Sending strength to all those having a harder time X

LittleLuce37 · 09/09/2018 14:42

@Pebblesandblamblam so sorry for your loss. It's not that others have been through worse we just all have our own heartbreaking experiences in different ways.

We lost our girl at 32 weeks and were also unbelievably keen to try again. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I started using OPK when I got my first proper period but had no idea what I was doing so screwed up tests 😂 I've now been tracking for 3 cycles and just about got the hang of it. Found the cheap test strips of amazon worked fine. Good luck xxx

Newbie21 · 09/09/2018 15:18

Hi Ladies. Congratulations to those with BFPs. I haven't properly caught up yet will try to later on.

Unfortunately, it must have been a CP as I now have AF in full flow :-(. Will take a test in a few days to confirm to ensure no complications. Thanks for all your thoughts and best wishes xx

Yukka · 09/09/2018 15:37

Really sorry to hear that @newbie21. Thinking of you. I would recommend letting your gp know so it’s recorded xx

Newbie21 · 09/09/2018 16:00

Thanks @Yukka I will do, I'll call them in the morning.

dreaminofholidays · 09/09/2018 22:15

@knitkitty @mumma100 Just reading to catch up and your posts about asthma, how are you both now? mine's been really playing up the last week and a bit so maybe it's the weather? It's probably been over a month since I even really thought about my inhaler before that. Very strange.

Hope you are both ok now.

@newbie21 I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. xxx

Mumma100 · 10/09/2018 07:48

@dreaminofholidays mine has never been too bad to be honest, exercise induced s but if an annoying constant cough. I’m sure it’s the weather, I’m needing to take my steroid one everyday, which I should be doing anyway to be fair, and my reliever most days now. I just have a constant cough and feel like I’ve got a wet flannel over my face that I have to breath through! Do you find your reliever gives you the shakes? X

Mumma100 · 10/09/2018 07:52

Thinking of buying some clear blue opk, when do you start taking them in your cycle? X

Lilimum4 · 10/09/2018 09:09

@Mumma100 hi I used them. If you have regular periods there's a guide inside the box. You will need a minimum of 10 sticks for your first month unless you have an idea of when you ovulate. I used to use ic tests after period until I saw the line getting darker then switch to cb tests. I also bbt charted too which really helped me figure out that I ovulate super early on cd10.

Cakelaur · 10/09/2018 09:21

@hayleyfx gosh babe that's a proper line. Don't worry about brown spotting. Old blood and it's probably from implantation. I have everything crossed for you. How amazing if it is a new pregnancy and your body is obviously ready for being pregnant again. Sending massive hugs. Have you been Drs?

Lilimum4 · 10/09/2018 09:33

@hayleyfx I've missed something. Fx for you
