@xJune88 Congratulations, positives can be bloody terrifying after losses. Every time I've had a positive after a loss I've been on tenterhooks the whole pregnancy 'just in case'

@DartmoorDoughnut the thing is I've absolutely no idea when Af is due, I had a chemical pregnancy and lost on 29th July (my 28th birthday) prior to that my last period was 24th June. So right now I don't know if I'm testing too early or if I'm being too hopeful? I just don't know. I've been trying to track Ovulation based on Cf but I'm not sure how I'm doing with it, based on this I think ovulation was possibly around 19th/23rd August. I'm at a loss really, I just don't know if I'm being too hopeful right now but I definitely feel I've got some of my 'usual' pregnancy symptoms?

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 07:55

@DartmoorDoughnut I don't think you're being selfish wanting another.
If/when I get caught this time it'll be baby number 5 and my youngest is 11 months (eldest will be 9 in December)
The kids don't mind more babies being added and there's nothing better than being part of a big happy family xx

mostimproved · 06/09/2018 08:13

Fantastic news @Newbie21 @xJune88 keeping everything crossed for you both.

I tested again this morning and there is a line but it's much lighter than the one a few days ago and I have had brown tinged CM so looks like I am out this month - now if only AF would hurry up Angry

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/09/2018 08:20

@Taylorsej17 so you’re on CD40? I’d def phone the GP and request a blood test today then you’ll know Flowers

@mostimproved fingers crossed for you, was that the same test?

I’m 99% sure ovulation is today which is CD21, think ovulating late increases risk of miscarriage as egg doesn’t have enough time to implant, I have a 28 day cycle so think it won’t be successful this month - obvs I’ll give it a go! - thinking about going to GP and requesting clomid if I’m not successful.

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 08:28

@DartmoorDoughnut yes roughly D40 I think. I've no chance of getting into my Gp for the next 2 weeks unfortunately (not through choice, it's just impossible to get an appointment even when you ring at 8am)
I don't know whether to leave it a week or so and see what happens?

mostimproved · 06/09/2018 08:29

@DartmoorDoughnut yes another FRER, but I think it's picking up leftover hcg from my mc rather than a new pregnancy, or if it was a new one it's not sticking around.

I though late ovulation just meant you would have a longer cycle this time as the luteal phase is always roughly the same? So you might just end up having a slightly longer cycle instead. Hope this cycle is the one for you.

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/09/2018 08:35

@Taylorsej17 what I did with miscarriage was phoned the drs and requested a call back, explained the situation and requested a blood test and went in that day to have one, obvs a slightly different situation but might be worth a try? Think you’ll drive yourself nuts testing otherwise!

@mostimproved hopefully it’s just your wee was more diluted or something Flowers

My cycles are always 28 days, with miscarriage last month I ovulated on CD18 I think so I think I ovulate late in any case? God I hate TTC

kisses4u · 06/09/2018 08:43

Aw this is great news @Newbie21 and @xJune88 hope they are sticky beans!!! Lovely lovely to see this!
@mostimproved did you test a few weeks after you MC? I was told I needed to test and I even got a follow up phone call to check i had a negation be before TTC. This is so as not to confuse left over HCG from MC with potential new pregnancy... as it can give false hopes. Sorry if you've already said previously I have trouble keeping up.
So AF is officially due today going by my old cycle length before MC. I had some brown spotting last two days, a bFN yesterday and no AF today or over night what so ever! I'm sure it's just my body being weird but it's annoying not knowing what's going on! 🤔

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 08:47

@DartmoorDoughnut definitely worth a shot, see if they can give me a call back.
Trouble is when I lost the pregnancy the I went in to the Dr's on the Monday (30th) and then a couple of days later they called me to discuss which medication I needed to stop taking now that I was pregnant and sent my midwife appointment out. So they're not exactly the best, most organised Dr's going.
I'm definitely going to drive myself mad with all the tests, I've easily spent £30+ in the last week and half on tests 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ should have bought ovulation ones really now I think about it and I'd be much less stressed now!!

mostimproved · 06/09/2018 08:56

@kisses4u yeah I did but stupidly just used the ICs as I was testing pretty much every day, and once there was no hint of a line I took that to be BFN. Really I should have used an FRER so I could compare. It's ok though, I didn't really expect to get pregnant again before my next period but it's just annoying its so drawn out - I thought AF was starting yesterday but now absolutely nothing, it's so frustrating isn't it!

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/09/2018 09:23

Oh FFS just tested ov and have a big blank circle?! Had EWCM this morning though so will DTD tonight and hope the clear blue digi is wrong!

Mistymeow · 06/09/2018 10:22

@Newbie21 congratulations on your BFP! I think if I were you I would put the pregnancy tests away now, as the digital has confirmed your pregnancy. It will not help with your anxiety. Why don't you speak to your GP about your concerns for some reassurance, possibly an early scan at 7 weeks?

@xJune88 lovely news!

@KnitKitty Your cycle lengths are a lot like mine, so you are not alone. I hope you get a positive outcome this cycle. It's frustrating not knowing how long each cycle is going to be, makes ttc more stressful. But hopefully things will settle soon for us both!

@Pancakes7 sorry you're feeling up and down, although completely understandable as it's only been 3 months. Have you thought about some counselling to help you through this period? A few people on here have said acupuncture and reiki have helped with relaxation, that could be an idea. I use the Headspace app which helps me feel calmer.

@boboelephant hello former cycle twin! How are you getting on?

xJune88 · 06/09/2018 10:52

I have slight pain right of my belly button and have had spotting all week and pink discharge never had that before with previous. Just praying I get past my period late date and it's in the right place.

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 11:16

@DartmoorDoughnut managed to get a call back from my Dr's who said they aren't doing the Blood tests for Hcg? Apparently I'd need to still be miscarrying? Is this right because it definitely sounds wrong to me?
Anyway I bought a pack of 2 Cb digitals (worrying this is almost becoming an addiction facepalm) these are the last ones I'm buying for a week now definitely.
Don't know whether or not to do one later after this mornings negative? Are Cb digitals anymore sensitive than any other brand?

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 11:23

@xJune88 maybe try get in at the Dr's for some reassurance? I did have spotting and a couple of full 'periods' throughout my pregnancy with Ds1. Hopefully it's just implantation spotting and pains xx

xJune88 · 06/09/2018 12:42

I've rang early pregnancy unit they said there is nothing they can do until 6 weeks as the won't be able to see a sac to know where pregnancy is. I am petrified! Was hoping they would do my bloods and check levels or something but they offered no support after my losses so can't say I'm surprised. Fingers crossed I have a healthy sticky bean in the right place and everyone else does too xxx

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 12:58

xJune88 I understand that they can't see sac to say where the pregnancy is yet. But that they offered no other help or support is a bit useless of them (that being said my Dr's are basically the same)
Fingers crossed you've got a sticky one hun and it's just implantation issues darling.

I've done another test (really must stop myself) and anyway there's no point now is there, doesn't get any clearer than that does it Sad

TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 25 BFPs for all!
Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 12:59

Sorry @xJune88 I didn't tag/mention you when I meant to

Pancakes7 · 06/09/2018 12:59

Thanks @Mistymeow I've been doing headspace. I need to make sure I'm doing it everyday. I also downloaded a new app for CBT. Will try that and see how I get on. I'm feeling a bit more positive today. But yeah up and down. Thought to myself. Getting upset went get me pregnant any quicker. It will just waste this time with my husband when we can do as we like. I need to make the most and enjoy what we have like I did before all this happened.

Boboelephant · 06/09/2018 13:49

@KnitKitty how are you feeling today? Hope you got some time off yesterday!
@Newbie21 congratulations!! Don't worry about the weeks, hcg will develop differently for every pregnancy. 1-2 weeks for when your period is due sounds right.
@xJune88 tentative congratulations! I hope it's a new pregnancy!
@Taylorsej17 I know it's hard but I think you need to put down the tests! Cycles don't always go back to normal after losses and as you said things could have changed because you had your DD recently. Fingers crossed you will get a positive but try and leave it a week if you can. I think the negatives just bring fresh pain every time.
@Mistymeow I'm ok thanks lovely. Still ticking along. 4dpo and trying to stay calm and not obsess! Where are you in cycle?
@Pancakes7 good attitude. I have found that whilst I can't help getting upset sometimes and don't understand why it's taking so long, I can't put my life on hold and have to enjoy what I do have and remain hopeful that it will happen.

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 14:24

@Boboelephant I'm putting the tests down for a week or more and may even try get in at the Dr's to discuss with them too.
Every time I've had a negative it's been upsetting even tho I know I'm not exactly being rational about it.

Mumma100 · 06/09/2018 14:58

Does anyone no of any supplements or anything that can help with getting pregnant? X

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 15:20

@Mumma100 there's the pregnacare range but I don't know if they actually 'help' I've just been taking folic acid and women's vitamins in preparation.
But I'm on other medications anyway so have to be careful what I take.

Boboelephant · 06/09/2018 16:33

@Taylorsej17 sounds like a good plan. I think sometimes for our own sanity we need to step away from the tests!
@Mumma100 I take the seven seas ttc vitamins. They don't help get pregnant as such but they will help any baby you get pregnant with. I've taken pregnacare too but 2 years on I have switched to the cheaper brand! I also eat things to help my body prepare for pregnancy such as eat lots of eggs, avocado and leafy greens. I seed cycle, drink grapefruit juice in the first half of my cycle, pineapple core for 5 days after ovulation and started on maca powder. Unfortunately there is not a quick fix, but I do what I can and hope it will help!

Taylorsej17 · 06/09/2018 16:38

@Boboelephant Definitely, I've driven myself mad testing and being disappointed when it's not the result I've wanted. Need some time away from them and probably some advice from the Gp if Af doesn't come. Altho I've had a huge acne breakout this afternoon (weren't there this morning for definite) and I'm more a little weepy and bloated which is usually around a week or so before Af and cf has become a lot more noticeable and thicker/creamier coloured so think actually I may be expecting Af. I suppose at least it will help with dating and working out Cd's and ovulation if that's the case

I know Gp's advise to wait for at least one cycle before ttc again but it's just so difficult waiting.
