Thanks ladies.
I went to the doctors this morning because I've been having a very slow asthma attack since yesterday evening. I've also given myself the rest of the day off work. I got out of breath just walking to and from the car so don't think it would be a good idea rushing around today!
The doctor gave me steroids and a preventative inhaler (I'd stopped my other inhaler when I found out I was pregnant and haven't needed it until now). I told him that I wasn't sure if I was pregnant or not and had done an inconclusive pregnancy test yesterday so he offered me a blood test.
I won't get the results until Monday by which time AF may have arrived anyway, but it'll be good to have a confirmation.
I've taken my new inhaler which seems safe enough from what I've read, but I'm really not convinced about taking the steroid tablets. He said that it's what he would recommend even if I was definitely pregnant, but reading up online there are links to complications in pregnancy, especially if taken in the first 12 weeks. It does say on the leaflet with the tablets to let the doctor or pharmacist know if you are or planning to be pregnant. Do you think I'm right to avoid taking them if I can?
It also advises to take the tablets after breakfast to avoid it affecting sleep. So I may see how I go tonight and take it in the morning if I really can't cope.
Anyway, enough about me. Sorry I've been a bit self-centred recently!
@RedRobin7 Happy Birthday lovely lady! I hope you manage to enjoy it, even though I know you've been dreading it. Welcome to the 30 zone! (It's not that bad! honest!)
@MistyMeow are you cycles varying in length or just always longer? Where are you up to in your cycle at the moment? Thanks for your support. xxx
@xJune88 how are you doing? I don't think I congratulated you yet! It's a very nerve-wracking time, but I hope you're doing ok. Spotting and a bit of bleeding it quite common in early pregnancy.
@Taylorsej17 sorry everything is so up in the air for you. I don't think it's right that they haven't offered to do bloods. I think a lot depends on which doctor you see, some seem a lot more helpful than others, sadly. Hugs
@Pancakes7 that's a really great attitude to adopt. Try to keep those thoughts in your head, but don't worry when you have down days, sometimes you just need a good wallow before getting back on the positive wagon!
@Boboelephant how are you? Is the TTW driving you mad yet? How's the chart looking this time?
@Mumma100 so interesting about your timing with the pregnancy. Bodies really are mysterious, aren't they?!
Just wondering how some of the graduates are doing. Anyone heard anything from @Hidcat and @Jessabean?
