Mmmmmm wagon wheels!

@doddlebobs that's an amazing idea. Wish we were doing that at work. I lurve baking so much! I didn't try the reiki in the end, wish I did though. Just have a regular massage on Saturday. Can you ask when you book if the voucher can be swapped for a regular massage?

DartmoorDoughnut · 29/08/2018 22:06

Thanks for the welcome and the worries re DH, it is v stressful being on a timescale but he is genuinely a diamond who just doesn’t want a third DC but is giving it a chance which is all I can ask.

Off to POA ov S and keeping my fingers crossed!

Good morning ladies by the way xxx

doddlebobs · 30/08/2018 07:05

Get thee to a FRER shop @Littleray84! Can certainly see something there! Fingers crossed for you

InDreamland · 30/08/2018 07:46

@Littleray84 I'm not sure if I can see anything, definitely a squinter. Hey yourself sone FRERs and test again tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you!

@Obblegobble sorry for your losses. You have come to the right place!

InDreamland · 30/08/2018 07:47

This morning I still have a flashing smiley but also some EWCM ...... I thought EWCM came with a static smiley? Confused unless it wasn't EWCM.

Russkispy · 30/08/2018 07:47

Yep @Littleray84 , I can also see a faint line! Tentative congratulations!

Bobzybaby · 30/08/2018 07:49

@Littleray84 don't know if i can see anything. They don't always translate well in to a photo! Defo recommend getting a FRER. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Bobzybaby · 30/08/2018 07:51

@InDreamland I've noticed that my EWCM seems to come at random times and not necessarily with a flashy or static smiley! This month it came a couple days after static 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've also had it when it's been O and then none with flashy/static. Just another way my body likes to trick me 🙄

strawberrye · 30/08/2018 07:52

@Littleray84 I can see something very faint, get a FRER and good luck!

@InDreamland you generally ovulate on the last day of EWCM, and get a static smiley 12-48 hours before ovulation. Lots of women have a few days of EWCM. Also - sorry TMI warning - if you DTD last night sometimes the leftover, ahem, "emissions" from DH can look a bit like EWCM but tends to be less stretchy

OP posts:
InDreamland · 30/08/2018 08:13

@Bobzybaby thanks, that is annoying of it's erratic.

Thanks @strawberrye. You could be right, we did DTD last night. I can't tell the difference though, was stretchy. I'm just hoping it's all a good sign body is doing what it's supposed to.

Supposed to be 19 weeks tomorrow and desperately want to be pregnant again but at same time wish it was with our little bean we lost.

I think I'm noticing more things with my body since the mc.

I have another counselling session this morning so hope that helps me with coping with all these emotions.

doddlebobs · 30/08/2018 08:29

Hahahahahahhaha so glad the 'emissions or ewcm' debate has finally come up! I've been meaning to ask how you tell for ages! Mine has been weird this cycle - hardly any ahead of opk+ and temp rise, just had creamy marked in the days before. Then around 7dpo had a temp dip and what I would have classed as ewcm (very stretchy but cloudy - it defo wasn't an emission!)

Would anyone recommend pre-seed? It it tricky to errrm apply? Never used any kind of lube!

strawberrye · 30/08/2018 08:41

@doddlebobs We've used preseed for a few months now, you use an applicator to insert some right near your cervix so it can mimic CM, its a bit fiddly but we quite like it as I can sometimes be lacking in the CM department! I don't believe the success stories though - we got pregnant first month trying with it but had a very early loss and not a hint of a BFP since (used it for past 4 cycles).

After a quick google re EWCM vs emissions I have found this:

Here are some ways to tell the difference between EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) and Semen

EWCM is stretchy: EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) is very elastic. If you put it between your fingers, it will stretch without breaking apart. Semen, on the other hand, doesnt stretch and will break apart if you put it between your fingers and try to stretch it.

EWCM is slippery and clear: While semen may feel slippery as well, it looks white and cloudy. Not clear, like EWCM. EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) is more transparent and feels very slippery.

EWCM does not absorb easily: If you look at the toilet paper when you use the bathroom and notice mucous on the toilet paper, you can tell if it is actually mucous by waiting a few minutes. If it is semen it will quickly absorb into the toilet paper, whereas EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) generally will sit on top of the toilet paper.

EWCM will form a ball in water: When you go to the bathroom, let the mucous drop into the toilet water. If it turns into a ball and sinks, it is most likely EWCM. If it dissolves into the water, it is most likely semen.

Also I always check my CM first thing in the morning, where we tend to DTD in the evening so I figure most of the semen will have gone elsewhere by the next morning Wink

DH asked me earlier if I was going to test. Told him No. think I'm 13dpo today. Not sure. Nor am I sure when AF is arriving as it's first cycle post missed MC. Will just wait and see what happens.

InDreamland · 30/08/2018 09:29

Lol @doddlebobs, so glad I asked! Well someone had to.........in a roundabout way.

Thanks for the info @strawberrye, going with what you posted I think it was most likely EWCM.

Fingers crossed for a BFP when you do decide to test @Russkispy!

Tobebythesea · 30/08/2018 09:33

Please can I join you? 2 mc at 7 weeks earlier this year. I’m 11 days dpo and I keep peeing on a stick! Nothing yet but I have slight brownish dc and light cramping today. Is it too late for implantation bleeding?

Tobebythesea · 30/08/2018 09:50

Littleray. I think I can see I line. God luck for tomorrow 😊

SuperSharpShooter82 · 30/08/2018 10:05

Hi all.

Sorry, I am rubbish at keeping up.

@Boboelephant - my miscarriage was exactly 4 weeks ago on Monday which is when the spotting started. Also had sore boobs and some period cramps, so I figure it was my period. Or at least my body trying to have a period.

Thanks for the optimism @indreamland and @ strawberrye. We have DTD once since then but I’m pretty sure it’s unlikely to be implantation bleeding. It took us 8 months to conceive DD so I’m not holding out much hope for a quick conception. I also don’t even want to think like that because in my experience I will only be setting myself up for disappointment.

Have been doing some reading and it does seem light periods are common after miscarriage. My main worry right now is that my cycle is screwed and my period isn’t enough to have ovulated. I just want things to be back to normal! It sucks – I never thought I would be praying for a heavy period!

@craftymum01 that sounds really tough. You’re stronger than me - I blocked the two offending Facebookers, one of which is my cousin! Safe to say I won't be seeing them anytime soon either! Have you spoken to your SIL and friends about your miscarriage? I am sure if people know they will be sensitive to your situation. That said, I also feel like people almost expect you to be ‘over it’ now it’s happened and I am finding this bit even harder. Stay strong and don’t feel bad if you need to distance yourself from people, you need to heal and be gentle to yourself.

@kisses4u I know exactly how you feel and its horrible. The day that should have been my 12 week scan I opened Facebook to see a perfect 12 week scan photo my cousin had posted. I hate all the reminders of what should have been happening now.

@ Littleray84 I am crossing all for you! That test looks really promising!

@mostimproved how are you getting on lovely? I have been thinking of you xxx

craftymum01 · 30/08/2018 10:33

@supersharpshooter82 thank you, they do know as it was 15 weeks so had already told people. They are being really good about it but it’s still hard seeing their growing bellies! Very jealous

SuperSharpShooter82 · 30/08/2018 11:01

Oh @craftymum01, that must have been really hard. I am in awe at your strength and so sorry for what you must have been through. Hard enough without the SIL and friends! Do you see them regularly?

InDreamland · 30/08/2018 13:30

@SuperSharpShooter82 so there is a slight possibility? 8 months isn't such a long time, it took DH and I 5 years to get pregnant. I keep getting told that after mc women are super fertile. Just in case it's true I've put energy into trying, am CD14 after my first AF since my mc and been using OPKs since Saturday. I don't believe I'll actually get pregnant but if i don't try at least I'll always be wondering "what if". If you are certain it's not implantation bleed could you maybe use OPKs this month? Or in a week or two take a FRER just in case? I totally get the not wanting to be disappointed so not taking a test, I had that for years, so when I eventually took a test AF was about 10 days late, ended up disappointed anyway with the mc. If you test then at least you'll know for sure. Like you with my much lighter and shorter than normal AF I have been worried about not ovulating and my body not going back to normal but I must admit that seeing the flashing smiley yesterday and this morning has made me feel a little better about it.

@craftymum01 that must be so so difficult for you. You must be so strong. I'm distancing myself from Facebook because i can't deal with announcements. Time to put my feelings and emotions first rather than trying to fake smile through the pain. The good thing is they're understanding and supportive.

Littleray84 · 30/08/2018 15:55

Thanks ladies.

Think I'll wait a couple of days until weekend of AF still hasn't hasn't arrived and try a first response xx

Good luck to those of u in the tww xx

SuperSharpShooter82 · 30/08/2018 16:09

I'm so sorry @InDreamland and you are right. 8 months isn't a long time, I didn't mean to appear insensitive, I am just didn't think xxx
