@Cakelaur how did you guess. Yes I have and still positive thank goodness

zarala · 28/08/2018 21:40

@Lilimum4 I'm so sorry love you're going through this stress! But honestly this nurse sounds awful! I have all my fingers crossed for you and your baby!

Lilimum4 · 28/08/2018 22:04

@Cakelaur this is the one I did when I got back (had to go buy as I had none left) now I'm cross I wasted money on more tests

TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 25 BFPs for all!
Newbie21 · 28/08/2018 22:09

@Lilimum4 that is clear as day pregnant! It's a strong line and I'm pretty sure, unlike opks, pregnancy tests do not require the test line to be stronger than the control line!

KnitKitty · 28/08/2018 22:15

strawberrye I'm a Bake Off fan! Grin already wondering if I should buy the ingredients to make wagon wheels tomorrow.... It's so hard not to feel like scoffing loads of cake and biscuits when you watch it, but it's so fun!
Hope AF stays away, will keep my fingers crossed for you xxx

YellowDaffodils86 I'm using caron cake for my blanket at the moment. Smile
Best of luck with your deadline! Fingers and toes crossed for you! xxx

Lilimum4 · 28/08/2018 22:45

@Newbie21 ikr maybe that's why I got so upset when she said the test did not come back with a dark enough line. But I'm thinking now she doesn't know what she is doing. I have to book in with the midwife tomorrow so I'll see what she says. Its also the day AF should have been due too

kisses4u · 28/08/2018 22:57

@Lilimum4 so you tested slightly early? If AF was due tomorrow and you aren't late yet then you'd not expect more than a faint line. The lines never go darker than the control in my experience either. You'd only be getting much darker lines in a few weeks. Maybe the nurse didn't realise this and thought you were testing as you were late? Hmmm... either way I don't think you've anything to be worried about. Hoping you can get some answers with some rising hCG in your bloods Wink

Melpops36 · 28/08/2018 23:19

@lilimum4 that is crazy. Fingers crossed for you and I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Cakelaur · 29/08/2018 00:03

@Lilimum4 that's an amazing line. Perfect for the day AF is due!! Plus she must not know what she's doing.... if we know anything in this group... it's how to pee on sticks!! Just tell her you JKS the whole month and it was poas Friday and you got a bfp 3days before af. She'll be mind blown!!! What does she know!!! 😂 I for one know this is your 🌈

Boboelephant · 29/08/2018 06:30

@Lilimum4 that's a very strong line! Was the only reason she said that because the line wasn't as dark?? As the others have said she clearly doesn't even know how pregnancy tests work! Just ignore her. Bubs is fine!
@strawberrye ooh fx hun. Hope af stays away and temp goes up today.
@YellowDaffodils86 hope your temp goes up too and you are in the tww! Hope to be joining you in a few days and I have everything crossed it is OUR month!!

RedRobin7 · 29/08/2018 06:58

Just tested at 10dpo on a FRER and BFN ☹️ I feel pregnant but I think it's probably all in my head. Will test again tomorrow and Friday as need to know for sure before I have my consultation! I've previously had a line this early so feel like I'm probably out - even though that's supposed to be the right answer as we're supposed to wait until I've had the tests! At the same time I'm also not ready to worry about having a third miscarriage this year. It's such a head fuck.

Also how many times am I going to stare at a negative test in case it changes 🙄

sweetpea0318 · 29/08/2018 07:04

Morning, I’ve been a bit quiet on here for a while but I’m still here - lurking in the background!

I just wanted to say @liiimum that I agree with what others have said - that is a great line and the nurse has the sensitivity of a sledgehammer! I really don’t see why anything could be said to be wrong - just testing too early for their tests! xx

@redrobin7 sorry for the bfn. It is such a headfuck this whole business. When is your consultation?

CD 18 here today so ov is imminent - time to JKS!

Laney79 · 29/08/2018 07:12

@Lilimum4 when I did my cheap normal test three days after the frer it was positive but line wasn't as strong as the control - but I'm definately pregnant. No idea why this nurse has caused you such anxiety, especially as AF wasn't due yet, the line on a non frer would be fainter!!! My GP doesn't even bother to test you-she takes your word for it. Hope the midwives are better today.

@RedRobin7 could it still be a bit early? I was 14dpo before my squinters, 15dpo on the frer xxx

DartmoorDoughnut · 29/08/2018 08:29

Hi all Smile

Just jumping on for a hand hold and some advice, lost DC3 at 5 weeks last week and I am very time limited on conceiving again (DH has requested a vasectomy from the GP but has agreed to try until op).

If I count the first day of bleeding as CD1 I’m on CD13 and am hopeful I’ll be ovulating soon, I feel like I will but will check later with a ov test. Is it possible/normal to ovulate again so quickly?

Hope everyone is successful this cycle and that the babies stick Flowers

RedRobin7 · 29/08/2018 08:46

@sweetpea0318 Consultation is on Friday so I'd like to know by then. Would have thought something would have shown up by now so probably out but will keep testing. I've felt very sick the last few days but probably just my brain playing tricks on me!

@Laney79 Possibly too early but with previous two pregnancies I've picked them both up early! I hate the waiting games.

@DartmoorDoughnut So sorry you find yourself joining us here. I had my second miscarriage last month and I ovulated Just over two weeks after the bleeding. After my first period I ovulated 10 days later so I'm heading for a 24 day cycle this month. The body can do crazy things after a miscarriage.

Your DH doesn't sound great - either he wants a baby or he doesn't! Sounds like he's messing with your head ☹️

DartmoorDoughnut · 29/08/2018 09:13

@RedRobin7 long story short he doesn’t want another but is willing to try to keep me happy which I think is a pretty loving compromise tbh Smile

DartmoorDoughnut · 29/08/2018 09:14

ps thank you for your cycle info, v helpful Flowers

InDreamland · 29/08/2018 09:32

@Lilimum4 that is a very clear BFP. I'm no nurse but surely she has it wrong.

@Redrobin7 maybe (hopefully) it's just a little too early to pick up HCG and you'll get a BFP.

@DartmoorDoughnut so sorry you find yourself here. I'm not much help I'm afraid as had first mc (from first pregnancy) 6 weeks ago so this is all new to me but wanted to just say sorry for your loss and hope you ovulate and get BFP soon. I have to agree with @Redrobin7 though, is your DH wanting a baby or not? Mixed messages.

I got my first OPK flashing smiley this morning. Can feel myself starting to get anxious about possibly not ever getting a static smiley. Have ordered more sticks online this morning along with a pack of FRERs!

InDreamland · 29/08/2018 09:41

@strawberrye I love GBBO! Love baking!

RedRobin7 · 29/08/2018 09:45

@strawberrye I also love GBBO and my DH forgot to buy me cake to eat whilst watching it. I found a packet of angel delight in the cupboard and had that instead haha!

@DartmoorDoughnut If you are happy with that scenario then that's all that matters. My DH has changed his mind on and off for 2 years and now and it's been tough for me. Now we have got to trying we have had two miscarriages in a row. I'm currently in the TWW wondering if I'm pregnant again so soon after my last MC last month. Wish we hadn't spent so long debating it!

InDreamland · 29/08/2018 09:53

I need to watch GBBO on catch up. Can't watch on Tuesdays as I'm out at that time.

TedLife · 29/08/2018 10:11

@Boboelephant it's strange isn't it? I feel like I haven't had a bleed like that in ages. Really hope you're right and our bodies are finally getting back to normal. How are you finding the reiki? Since i've started doing the massage and reflexology I honestly feel better mentally than I have in a long, long time!

Boboelephant · 29/08/2018 13:45

@RedRobin7 sorry for bfn. Hopefully it's just too early but at the same time remember that if it's not your month it may be for the best so you can get your tests done.
@sweetpea0318 fingers crossed!!! JKS!!!! Hope it's your (our!) month!
@DartmoorDoughnut so sorry for your loss! And fingers crossed you conceive before the op. Do you have a date for it yet? Lots of people do ovukate a few weeks after MC so it's very possible.
@InDreamland yay for flashing smiley. Keep JKS!!
@TedLife i hope so too. Glad you're feeling better mentally. I love reiki but have only had brief ones from a colleague. Trying to find someone I can see regularly.

KnitKitty · 29/08/2018 13:50

Lilimum4 Thinking of you today. How are you doing?

RedRobin7 Sorry it was a BFN. Even though your other two pregnancies showed early, you could have one which is taking longer to implant, so don't count your chickens...

Hi Dartmoordoughnut, sounds like you're in a stressful situation. Have you talked about the MC with OH and how he feels about it?
As others have said, cycles can be all over the place after MC, either ovulating early, late or not at all. Confused so JKS and best of luck xxx

TedLife, Boboelephant, you know I hadn't put two-and-two together... I had a really weird cycle last month... I'd had reiki the day
I thought I'd be ovulating. I either ovulated a lot later or not at all that cycle and AF was 6 days late. The bleeding was different to normal too, bright red almost the whole bleed (usually goes brownish by second day), and 5 days instead of my usual 7/8. This new cycle I have been feeling SO much more back to myself again and the grief isn't nearly as hard to cope with. The reiki practitioner had said I had been stopping my emotions coming out and for a couple of weeks afterwards I was fluctuating wildly between feeling really down and feeling fantastically optimistic! I seem to have found some kind of equilibrium now. My periods being a bit less predictable weirdly seems like a good thing for me, as I'm not doing any stressful TTW countdown. AF is due any time from 2 days from now to 9 days or so from now (who knows!) and I feel like I can just chill and wait to see if any obvious signs show up.

InDreamland · 29/08/2018 14:01

Cheers @boboelephant. Asking stupid question now, what does JKS stand for? Similar thing to BD and DTD which I do get Blush

Funny a few of you mention reiki. I almost booked myself a session over the weekend at the spa but changed my mind. I should've done it!
