Another new thread! This is a lovely supportive thread for anyone who has suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately known as the penguin huddle- this is the place to survive the ups and downs of this crazy journey.

@Lilimum4 Congratulations! 🤞 for you! How many dpo were you in the end? I'm now thinking about testing at 10dpo as I just can't wait lol!

@Lilimum4 That's a really good line for 9dpo! That's tempting me to test Tuesday 🙈 I have 4 FRERs and a CB in the cupboard!

@RedRobin7 hold off if you can! Stay strong and test at 12dpo or so. Fingers crossed! No idea how many dpo I am now and won't test till AF due date. Don't even know when that will happen!? Just will wait and see what happens. But already making plans for next cycle if this one doesn't work. I'm just realistic about things and always good to have plans

@Lilimum4 wow that's a really strong bfp for 9dpo!!! Congratulations lovely, I tested yesterday too, starkest BFN ever. I didn't get any hint of a line until 11 or 12dpo with the last 2 but not hopeful tbh.

If it is BFN I might go and check in with the docs because of the mid cycle bleed and getting alot of pain down there, feels like muscle pain. Probably pulled something from too much shagging! 😂

@RedRobin7 hope you can hold off until 11dpo. More chance of a stronger line and less uncertainty.

I've never tested until AF was at least 5 days late so never taken a FRER. I'll probably be more like @Russkispy.

@lilimum4 congratulations!! So after I posted that evening i got definate positives on opk and the next morning then it dropped off had ewcm aswell so hoping I did ovulate. So apparently 2dpo but every time I go to the toilet my knickers are wet?? Is this normal, a good sign, or have I not ovulated yet. Confused!! X

We have been doing haha every night for atleast the last 3 weeks! Had one night off last night I will be so pissed off if I've missed it haha x

Surely the 3rd one up is a proper positive it looked like that before dry too and had ewcm to match. Doesn't help that my cycle is all over the place x

@lilimum4 congratulations that's the loveliest news!

@indreamland I understand your frustration. DH sees a specialist for his fertility and occassionally appointments are delayed. Sometimes an emergency appointment comes in so they have to move people around. Definitely call up the hospital and explain your situation. I would also have an open conversation with your boss. They are doing something wrong if they can't afford one day without you. A hospital appointment is a reasonable request. Sounds like your team needs better training if they are at a loss when you are off. It's not fair on you. Re your partner, he really should be able to take one vitamin a day. It's hardly taxing! You could get them for him and take your folic acid at the same time as he takes his vitamin. With the drinking that's a trickier one to tackle but maybe you could point him towards an nhs article explaining the benefits of cutting down. You aren't asking him to give up, just cut back. It's only for a bit. Wish you all the best!

Quick question to those in the know... apart from temping and EWCM how else can one pinpoint when ovulation occurs? I've no idea if it's coming or has gone. I'm CD18 (I am counting the first day of heavy bleeding from MC as first day of cycle?!) and I normally have a 28 day cycle (I know MC can mess this up tho) I still have lots of EWCM and felt some crampy period like pains for about half an hour this afternoon.

Also what is preseed? I've seen this mentioned a few times on here...

Morning ladies. Looks like it's not a baby bank holiday for me. AF due today and BFN on FRER this morning. Absolutely gutted as my temps had been climbing and had noticed sore boobs in the last few days which I never get before AF.

Going to go distract myself with my knitting - finally got started on my rainbow baby blanket which is kind of a thing of hope for me, and a monster of a knitting project with a few new skills for me so that'll keep my mind occupied hopefully.

@strawberrye sorry about BFN. Knitting is a very good distraction and therapeutic. I also started on my rainbow blanket which is a mammoth project. Took me ages to knit 2 for my DD. But loved every single second especially that we used them all the time!

@Funkyemzie so sorry for bfn. When is af due?
@xJune88 yep the third one up is defi positive. I would agree you have ovulated. I have often still gotten a wet feeling after ovulation. Its the EWCM that means fertile, you can have other types of cm throughout your cycle.
@kisses4u best ways to be on the lookout for ovulation are EWCM and opks. Once you get a positive opk you should ovulate 12-48 hours later. This doesnt confirm that you have ovulated but that your body is gearing up for it. Your EWCM should increase in your fw and disappear almost immediately after ovulation. Temping is the only thing that confirms ovulation as you should get a clear temp shift afterwards and have three higher temps than the previous six. That said if you are waiting for first af after MC, your cycle will almost defi be a bit longer and you may or may not ovulate. If I was you I would assume EWCM means fertile and JKS! Preseed is a fertility friendly lube. Most lubricants are harmful to sperm and this one can apparently help the swimmers get to where they need to go.
