@lilimum I guess getting bfp at 8dpo would mean you've implanted nice and early. You never know you could have a slow mover in there!

I've done some research on egg quality with age and there are supplements I'm going to try, coq10, melatonin and dha. Have a read online. Not sure if you can get melatonin without a prescription but I'll keep searching. They all promote cell growth and Chromosome development and there is evidence to support positive results for fertility/egg quality in those of quote "advanced maternal age".

Lilimum4 · 23/08/2018 21:45

@Yukka I think I will look into those thanks

Funkyemzie · 23/08/2018 22:03

@Lilimum4 I've got nothing either at 8dpo except a pulling muscle type thing in my lower abdomen but nothing else. Been moving boxes and furniture tonight aswell because the plasterer is coming back in the Morning, so I hope if anything is going on then I've not done anything because it's got worse tonight.

Would it be completely insane to test at 9dpo????

Lilimum4 · 23/08/2018 22:08

@Funkyemzie might be because those bfn's are a horrible kick in the guts, but you never know I got a bfp at 9dpo on 4 out of 5 pregnancies

Funkyemzie · 23/08/2018 22:14

@Lilimum4 Really??? I think the earliest I tested was 10dpo and was barely a squinter. I'll see how i feel in the morning.

What day are you planning on testing?

Lilimum4 · 23/08/2018 22:19

@Funkyemzie to be honest I think I'll just wait for AF she's due on the 30th. I'm not at all confident this time.
Fx for you though x

Littleray84 · 23/08/2018 23:04

So I'm symptom spotting to the max🙈. Don't really know why because I've not even had af since my erpc only 3 weeks ago. I'd convinced myself last Thursday/ Friday that I was ovulating because i had pain that felt typically like my ovulation pain accompanied by ewcm.I experience this every month. Normally I'd have sore boobs from ovulation up to AF arriving but they are not even tender in the slightest (my last two bfps started with absent boob tenderness). Now today I've had a tiny bit of brown discharge on wiping ( only on 2 occasions) which is unusual for me, I never get spotting in between cycles. So I've convinced myself I've either not ovulated and AF is on its way or there's a chance we could have caught again fx. What do you think?

TedLife · 24/08/2018 07:31

@Lilimum4 I know you know this but symptom spotting doesn't mean a thing. I had everything this month, totally different to other months, boobs were so tingly and sore, bloat, tightness in tummy and bfn this morning - 12dpo. You just never know so fingers crossed for you xxx

Boboelephant · 24/08/2018 07:54

@mostimproved it is hard and I do this too. I've now passed both my due dates so it's oh I should have a 1 year old or a 2 month old. It's constantly difficult but we just have to stay hopeful that it will happen for us. Also that sounds like good fertile cm, go jump on DH!
@Lilimum4 no symptoms don't indicate anything hun. I get every pregnancy symptom under the sun each month with new more convincing ones every time, convince everyone on here it's my month and then af shows. So don't count yourself out yet. Try and do something nice to distract yourself for a few days.
@Yukka 'Tenby' 🤣🤣🤣 it's the new Caribbean hadn't you heard? 😉 thankyou, yeah we'll see the consultant again in 3 months so see what the options are. I'm not entitled to anything on nhs so should probably start saving! Ouch that's a rough thing for consultant to say!! Have they looked at your egg quality? As you say if you live healthily your eggs can match a younger woman's so keep up with your vitamins, acupuncture etc. And if it does come to it just look at it as a step to get your baby. That's all.
@Funkyemzie I'd prob hold off until at least 11dpo if you can. I think that's the point it's more likely to be a true bfp than bfn. But if you caved fx for you.
@Littleray84 it's really hard to tell as our bodies change alot after erpc. I think it might just be a waiting game sorry!
@TedLife oh so sorry for bfn hun! They are the worst. Hope you're not out yet.

Lilimum4 · 24/08/2018 08:05

Thanks ladies I guess I will have to just wait and see xx

Laney79 · 24/08/2018 08:48

@Lilimum4 re symptoms. I was totally convinced AF was on her way, so went out had a couple of pints and get my opks ready for another cycle. 4 days later I got the squinter on the IC - next day a BFP on a frer. I was so sure it was AF-but here I am 5+1!

Pesky bloody symptoms designed to confuse us-both ways!!!

Lilimum4 · 24/08/2018 09:09

Hi @Laney79 thanks
Glad all is going well with you.
I'm just having a hard time this cycle I'm sure I'll pick myself up again just feel so miserable right now and hopeless. I don't think I can keep doing this every month it's messing with my head. I know I can't get any help from NHS not entitled according to the doctor. I will just wait until AF then sob into my wine glass then pick myself up and get ready for the next fw and Tww.

Mistymeow · 24/08/2018 10:57

Hi everyone, I took a little break because DH had a cancer scare and it stressed me out this past week or so, but thankfully it's viral so I'm very relieved.

@boboelephant nice to hear from you, you sound a lot more positive. What cd are you on?

Sorry to be welcoming new joiners, but you are well looked after here. I spy a few BFPs on reading through the pages, massive congrats!

Can anyone work this one out for me please. I ovulated late last cycle, cd 21 (confirmed by temps) af arrive day 35. I usually have 27 day cycles so even though the cycle was long, the lp wasn't too bad. However, af lasted two days and was really light, mixed in with ewcm (sorry to be gross). On cd 3 my opk was almost positive. Definitely not pg. What the hell is going on? Are my hormones imbalanced? I'm going into cycle 5 post mmc so was hoping for it to be a bit more settled by now. I don't know why ovulation was delayed, but it wasn't stress or anything like that (I got stressed during af, all good now though). Hope someone can help! Confoooooooosed x

RedRobin7 · 24/08/2018 11:33

@Yukka We have booked a long weekend in Tenby for our first due date next month! My husband knows how to spoil me 😂🙈

@Mistymeow So pleased to hear your husband doesn't have cancer. What a horrible scare for you. Welcome back!

@doddlebobs How are you doing? How many dpo are you now? I'm only 5 days and have been feeling achey but think it's all in my head.

I write this whilst holding my sleeping 6 week old nephew. I really hope I'll be holding my own some day but for now I'll just be grateful I have nieces and a nephew!

robin78 · 24/08/2018 11:53

@mistymeow Hmmm, I was going to say maybe the previous cycle was anovolutary as when I had one I had lighter bleeding for a short time but you ovulated so it can't be that. I'm inclined to say it is still just your hormones settling back in. I miscarried in March and I only feel like my first ordinary cycle was the last one and even then I have had much more intense everything (pmt, ovulation, you name it). Try not to stress and hopefully it will settle. In the meantime JKS!

ronniemipperton · 24/08/2018 13:02

Congrats @Laney79, lovely news Smile

I’ve got lots of catching up to do - have been off on hols with the in laws (still am for another couple of days) and thought I’d have a break to keep my mind off things, but AF has turned up today (first one after ERPC 5 weeks ago) so thought I’d pop by. Hoping this means my (historically either massively irregular or entirely absent) cycles won’t be too messed up post MMC, so I’m sort of relieved, while also suffering horrendous stomach cramps and trying not to be stroppy at the in laws. Still, new cycle, staying positive.

Anyday88 · 24/08/2018 14:20

Hi All,

I haven't been around for a while but I keep checking on you all.
I am sorry some of you have had a terrible time!
@Laney79 congratulations.

I've tried to catch up but there was so much that I can't remember it all now 🙈

I really hope you are all doing ok!

I'm now 10+5, had a scan at 8 weeks and all was ok now just waiting for my 12 weeks scan and feeling so anxious!

Mistymeow · 24/08/2018 14:59

@RedRobin7 thank you, and you will definitely be holding one of your own :)

Thanks @robin78 yes I think it must be hormones misbehaving, how annoying. This is dragging on forever. Glad to hear your body is settling back down, gives me a bit of hope. I'm having a day 21 progesterone test this cycle so if anything is amiss I'm sure it will show up.

doddlebobs · 24/08/2018 16:47

Hi @RedRobin7 I'm grand thanks - 4dpo according to fertility friend chart - apparently ovulated on the day of my positive opk (otherwise known as my birthday 🤣 ) so hoping we did enough given we hadn't dtd in a few days before that as thought had ages before ov! I hope your aches are the sign of something :) nothing here yet apart from tiredness but I think that's probably because I was out late last night! I'm determined not to test until Af is (almost!) due ... who am I kidding...

@Mistymeow glad your husband got a good result. Hoping you get a further set of test results you want to see soon! On your AF/cycle, is it possible you had a chemical? I had one last cycle - the period was lighter than usual after an initial glut of clots coming out. I read that, weirdly, a post chemical period could be light. That wouldn't explain the ovulation on cd3 though. I think your body is messing with you!

Mistymeow · 24/08/2018 17:15

@doddlebobs I don't think it was a chemical, I used an ic test to double check that and nothing came up. I definitely feel it's wacky hormones. See what the gp says when I next see him. Good luck for you this month, got everything crossed!

The opk was negative today, must be getting random surges. Stupid hormones, I curse you!! :p

RedRobin7 · 24/08/2018 17:52

@doddlebobs Good timing if it was on your birthday!! We only had sex once the day before ovulation and hadn't DTD in almost 3 months (when we last conceived!) so will be very lucky if I do get a BFP. It was also straight after my first period since my second MC so a very short cycle. I have to test early because I am seeing the consultant next Friday for help before getting pregnant again... could be an "oops" moment! 🙈

Haha I'm also tired but I didn't have a late night, I went to be at 9:30 😂

Fingers crossed for us all 🤞

Boboelephant · 24/08/2018 18:57

@Mistymeow oh my gosh how scary for you both! So glad to hear he is ok 🙏 I'm doing ok thanks. Just have to keep cracking on really. I refuse to let this journey ruin my happiness in general. CD10 so still a week to ovulation. Cracking on with the foul grapefruit juice 🤮 I have no idea what's going on for you. Hope your body sorts itself out and the day 21 tests give you an answer.
@ronniemipperton welcome back and glad that your body seems to be sorting itself out. Fx for this cycle.
@Anyday88 glad all is going well!

Lilimum4 · 24/08/2018 20:41

OK I'm in shock. DH says as we are going to a wedding tomorrow don't you think you had better check your not pregnant because of the drinks. I say don't be stupid I always know when I'm pregnant and I'm not. Wow was not expecting that. I'm a bit worried it's just an indent. Do you get them on frer's?

TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 25 BFPs for all!
strawberrye · 24/08/2018 20:43

That's not an indent @Lilimum4 that's a BFP it's got colour! Congratulations!
