Megan - I bet you’re really frustrated not knowing one way or another. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Karigan198 · 13/08/2018 14:31

I entirely expected nothing to happen for a bit so wasn’t fussed about AF being AWOL. It’s the 3 days of spotting last week that’s weird.

Hope you get some answers soon!

megan18 · 13/08/2018 14:32

Im getting positive and negitive and i dont wanna go docs till i can at least see it , i was really faint but darker than what iv been getting tried a different brand negitive or very faint you can barely see

Lumpy76 · 13/08/2018 15:44

@karigan198 it took 2/3 months for my hormones to settle after my mmc. I actually mc at the end of the September, bless for 2 weeks after the actual mc (5 weeks in total). Then had a weird 3 day period about 6 weeks later, then 2 35 day Cycles with normal 5 day period (had spotting around the middle of one of these - maybe ovulation...) and then conceived at the end of the January - pregnancy dated that I had had a 28 cycle! I think your body probably just needs more time xx

Lumpy76 · 13/08/2018 15:45

Meant to say bled not bless!!!

CookieWaffle · 13/08/2018 17:12

Sorry guys, random question here. I just called up the docs and told them I believe I'm pregnant, I've been told I have to fill in a form to see a midwife at 8 weeks. Is is normal to not even speak to a doctor or anyone to confirm it's happening? Seems weird I have to wait a month before anyone knows about it.

Cleozeta · 13/08/2018 17:23

Yep that sounds normal cookie. I made it to 10 weeks recently and never saw a doctor. Only midwife at about 8 weeks

culleyace · 13/08/2018 17:32

That's pretty standard now. I only saw the midwife at 8 weeks but I did see a doctor and got referred to epu for a scan at 6 weeks as I was bleeding and had already had an early miscarriage the year before.

hello Little Mimosa! Eloisa here.
Yes it was me who recommended Julia Indichova and I'm so glad she inspired you. I think she is an amazing teacher. I've just ordered 'inconceivable' to help me with positive thinking through the first few weeks.
I did some of her visualisations and found her idea of 'meeting your child half way' really inspiring. Don't know how much that contributed to getting a BFP. But I do believe her approach is right - that fertility is in the heart and mind as much as in ovaries.

mellongoose · 13/08/2018 17:55

Sounds normal @CookieWaffle. I remember feeling really underwhelmed!!!

So I've just done another test and it's still BFN. I'm 4 days late. This has happened occasionally and I'll probably have got AF by this Thursday. If not, then I'm stumped! Do BFPs normally show by now? I guess I'm approx cd32 and 18dpo?

I'd like to be heartened by stories of late BFPs if anyone has any!! I'm probably clutching at straws.

CookieWaffle · 13/08/2018 18:00

Thanks guys, I was thinking, does nobody want to check that I'm telling the truth? I'll need to call them again as I have to stop some of my medication. Didn't ask at the time as I was so surprised.

@mellongoose if it's any help I'm 17dpo and my tests are still faint. I was expecting blazing positives by now but as my temp is still high, I'm still hot, crampy, weeing alot and no AF I'm gonna assume all is ok!

mondaycando1 · 13/08/2018 18:07

mellon fingers crossed for
cookie with my youngest, I don't remember seeing anyone til about 8 weeks so sounds pretty normal.

Lots of cramping this morning on cd12 so collared husband when he got in from work while kids watching tv Grin, managed dtd on days 8, 9 & today so far. Hoping to get another couple in this week too.

Cleozeta · 13/08/2018 18:14

They just take your word for it cookie!

Eloisa I have purchased inconceivable too, not started reading it yet, but will do when the children are back at school.

Mimosa - or anyone else who has had a delayed or anovulatory cycle recently, did you get overy pains? I'm having that today cd16 but with blank opk's and no cm. Not sure what that could mean? Are my overies chugging away trying to do something? Or are they dying a slow and painful death? Anyone ever had this?

Chatbash72 · 13/08/2018 21:44

@Karigan198 I had similar last cycle.. had af as normal then spotting for 3 days a couple of weeks into cycle, can Home ( sorry was away) did test was bfp then following morning was bfn and then af turns up 5 days late ???

Chatbash72 · 13/08/2018 21:47

Yup sadly @CookieWaffle I had bleeding, scan, miscarriage and then the midwife phone up to make a booking in appointment!!

megan18 · 13/08/2018 23:43

Chemical pregnancy???

CookieWaffle · 14/08/2018 07:52

Ahh @Chatbash72 :( how disjointed can they be... I also think it's crazy that I have to get to the surgery (find some transport) to pick up a paper form and fill it in. For someone who works in IT this feels so backwards to me.

mellongoose · 14/08/2018 09:01

STILL no AF HmmIf there's nothing by Friday I will test then. But if it's a BFN how long should I just stay in limbo?! I had one cycle which was one week late about 6 months ago so that's why I'm going to wait until Friday.

I'm such s novice!

wimsywon · 14/08/2018 09:49

Hi all. I'm 7dpo today. All symptoms gone, feeling really sad because i was on a roll with high temps, sore boobs, a little creamy cm but suddenly nothing :( af due in 7 days...am i out this cycle? Feeling so upset right now. Anyone else get a sudden stop to all possible symptoms at this stage but still got a bfp? Please advise ladies, i'm feeling hope less :(

CookieWaffle · 14/08/2018 09:53

Ohh Mellon you are in limbo a bit, do you feel any different?

Hey @wimsywon, still too early to have any symptoms and you may not have any and still get a BFP! I didn't get much CM at all so never tracked it. Only started noticing things from 12dpo and even then I could find reasons why it wasn't pregnancy related.

TeacupTattoo · 14/08/2018 11:44

@wimsywon I've never had any symptoms before a test...maybe disliking the smell of coffee for my first two but that's it - it's hard to tell if you've feeling grotty with pmt or bfp so please don't give up hope.

Lumpy76 · 14/08/2018 12:22

I’ve only had symptoms before a test when I’ve got pregnant but not known - when not having periods...I’ve started to feel slightly nauseous so tested. I try to leave it as long as possible to test...it seems with this one I was 4 weeks 4 days when I tested - worked out from ovulation at cd 18 - which I caught on an opk. I’m still feeling ok at 5 w 1 day - gained some water weight as would be normal for me but not really anything else!

wimsywon · 14/08/2018 13:55

Thanks @TeacupTattoo, i think i've been overly symptom spotting since ovulation..every twinge was reassuring then 7dpo, nothing. I even got the mandatory pre af zit today but still a week to go before af due, so just got to keep hopeful. At least its only a 1ww now. Anyone else on their 1ww? How are you feeling?

Cleozeta · 14/08/2018 16:17

I wish I was in the 2ww!! Instead in the limbo wait, no idea when / if I will ov this cycle.
Always so grateful for the lovely, blissful, hopeful 2ww.

Actually sod that, I should be 24 weeks pregnant now, not hurtling towards menopause Sad

Karigan198 · 14/08/2018 16:38

Echoing my thoughts there Cleo. Limbo sucks
