Sorry Cleo and Karigan and others.

Cookie I'm not sure if I feel differently. Obviously I'm heightened to everything so I don't know if my body is playing tricks on me! I guess I'm pretty sluggish, there are twinges across my tummy. Sometimes it feels like AF is coming but then nothing. Boobs are more tender than normal but not hugely.

Chatbash72 · 14/08/2018 18:40

The ttw sucks especially when it turns in 3 weeks you get hopeful and then bam the bitch arrives... sending baby dust to those of you in limbo.. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

littlemimosa · 15/08/2018 08:34

Aw Cleo I’m so sorry. You must still be so sad about your miscarriage.
When I eventually ovulated this cycle yes I probably did have general rumblings in my (one) ovary in the run up to it. Almost like it was waking up. Don’t stress yet. It’s still well within normal time frame for ovulation. You’ll love Inconceivable. I’ve also since read her other book Fertile Heart which is more of a guide to getting pregnant (inconceivable is her story) with all the visualizations etc.
Eloisa - thanks for your reply. How’s the pregnancy going? If I remember rightly you’re 45? Can I ask you if your cycles had started to go a little odd at all? Any early peri signs?
Cookie - I remember feeling like you with regards to not seeing anyone until 8 weeks with my pregnancies. Odd feeling.

Lumpy76 · 15/08/2018 08:54

@cleozeta feeling for you! I had my mmc just a few months before my 40th birthday. It devastated me. It broke my relationship with my parents for over a year (couldn’t accept my mums comments about it & my Dad backed her). Ruined that Christmas and my 40th birthday completely. I really had to grieve for the loss. I have subsequently had a child since then but I suffered terrible anxiety throughout that pregnancy to the point of being totally convinced it would end in disaster. Looking back I think I maybe should have sought more help for this but when mentioning to midwives and my consultant they brushed it off completely.

weasledee · 15/08/2018 10:37

Sorry for the ladies having a rubbish time.....

Nothing much to update except I think I've had an early ovulation again, I'm Day 9 and it's clearly happening today. (Big temp drop and fairly positive stick) downside is husband only available tonight as been away!!! So probably too late 🙄

wimsywon · 15/08/2018 13:38

Wondering what you all think of implantation dip? Is it possible? 8dpo temp falls suddenly from a consistent 36.8 or 9 to 36.3! Read different theories on this but anyone had a sudden low dip then get a rise in temp before a bfp? Advice much appreciated.

user1483961132 · 15/08/2018 14:27

hi Little Mimosa, Eloisa here. It's still really early days so have no idea how it will evolve and I do have very anxious moments especially after having a mc recently. Yes, I'm 45. My cycles were regular although periods extremely light (like Faith said was the case for her). I never had my hormone levels tested as apparently they change all the time anyway in our 40s. x

Lumpy76 · 15/08/2018 14:28

From what I can read (I’ve never bothered with temp charting) you may be having an implantation dip in temp. If the temp rises tomorrow I’d be hopeful that this is the case!

mellongoose · 15/08/2018 15:42

AF has arrived. I feel silly because I'd got my hopes up.

Karigan198 · 15/08/2018 17:06

Don’t feel silly :) we’ve all been there. It’s another chance to try again. Good luck for the next cycle

Cleozeta · 15/08/2018 17:30

Mimosa- thanks, I think mine was rumblings thankfully, as yesterday I had a massive blob of ewcm and today I got high on my cbfm and a good (but not quite positive) line on an opk, so things are finally moving. It looks like karrigan was right and ov could be happening exactly a week late, so maybe it was the holiday shaking things up. Relieved!!
How is your cycle going now? Everything returned to normal? How many days was that cycle in the end?
Lumpy - sorry you had such a hard time after your mmc, as if it isn't hard enough already.
Weasle - is it unusual for you to have early ov? Mine crept forward a while back too (aside from this cycle) my average seems to be cd12, although they do say as we get older we spit out eggs more often. I say more opportunities to get it right!
Wimsy - I had an implantation dip with my recent bfp. It went much lower than coverline on 4&5dpo then shot up super high at 6dpo (I know that seems early but that's what happened!) After 6dpo it kept rising, I thought at the time I may have ovulated again as tge dip & rise was so dramatic.
Mellon - sorry af arrived, I'm sure we all understand that disapointment, especially when hopes are so raised. Onwards and upwards to the next cycle.

mondaycando1 · 15/08/2018 17:33

Aw mellon , don't feel silly, I spent the last week of last month hoping that we'd hit lucky and my AF symptoms were really pg ones so you're not alone.
Need to get some action tonight as will be cd13 even though I've no ov symptoms (can't face opk sticks as they seem too complicated & we're only trying for a few months anyway as a last blast).

CookieWaffle · 15/08/2018 18:48

Ahh Mellon :( you're in no way being silly, I'd have been exactly the same. Please take some time to treat yourself and as the ladies say, onwards and upwards xx

weasledee · 15/08/2018 19:33

Cleo yes usual for me, have always been a day 14 girl....
You know u said it can happen more than once per month, have you seen that on a opk stick? That's interesting!

Lumpy76 · 15/08/2018 19:39

@user1483961138 hi! How far along are you...if you don’t mind me asking...I’m 5 +2 and nervous as hell!

Cleozeta · 15/08/2018 19:45

I think so weasle! when I had that experience before, I did a lot of research about it and it did seems to be a thing, although it's usually within a few days

weasledee · 15/08/2018 20:37

Thanks cleo, I'll keep using my opk's then and see if I notice anything Smile

mellongoose · 15/08/2018 20:50

Thank you for being so kind. I'm very grateful to have this thread with people who understand the crushing disappointment. I feel like my body has played a nasty joke on me. Today I felt nauseous at the raw chicken on the work top - just like when I am actually pregnant.

DH is happy to keep trying and is full of cuddles and nice words too. I'm sitting on my DD's bed while she sleeps. I feel very lucky for what I have already. Maybe I shouldn't be greedy. However, tomorrow is a new cycle and I can't kick this feeling. You all know it, I'm sure. Like my ovaries are doing my thinking for me HmmWine

Lots of love and energy to you all.

Chatbash72 · 15/08/2018 21:52

Ooh @mellongoose sending big hugs... we've all had moments like that..... rest up and take care of you... @Lumpy76 had a m/c 2.5 yrs ago 2 weeks before my sis had hers and fell out big style with my mum over it... still not the same and I am just about coming to terms with that, with some councilling... she was vicious, still is and thinks the number of kids I have is obscene 😞 wouldn't tell her if I was lucky enough to fall preg again..,
Sending big hugs 💕

Raffeylou · 15/08/2018 22:07

Hi ladies! So happy to find this thread Smile. Found myself nodding along as I read all your stories, the highs and lows are quite something aren't they.
I turned 40 in May and am shortly due to start ttc my second child .. again. DS is two, he was conceived first try when I was 37 and I was lucky enough to enjoy a textbook pregnancy. Last month DH and I decided to actively try for a second child. We were aware of the gloomy statistics and anticipated it taking ages so were amazed and delighted when again I conceived first go. Naively I envisaged a problem-free pregnancy like last time and was more excited than cautious, but sadly I miscarried at 5 weeks which really knocked me for six :(
I never wanted to become obsessed with having a second child (hubby and I always said if it happened then fantastic but if not, we were already blessed to have our little boy), however the loss of this baby has hit hard and I feel desperate to conceive again. Partly because I want that wonderful, exciting feeling of being pregnant back, and partly because the miscarriage has brought home the fact that I am running out of time (and good eggs)! It has certainly lent a sense of urgency to the situation and we are keen to try again as soon as possible. However if I am fortunate enough to conceive again, I’m scared that I’ll be too paranoid about another miscarriage to relax and enjoy the pregnancy! That said, I realise that I may have to go through this ordeal a few times before we hit upon the ‘golden egg’ ..
I have today started taking low dose aspirin, primrose oil, omega 3 fish oil, prenatals, folic acid and I'm about to order some royal jelly and Ubiquinol online (I bought Co-enzyme Q10 but read Ubiquinol is a much more powerful version) - physically it may not help a jot but mentally I'll know I did everything I could to help myself!
Would love to share this journey with others in the same boat

Russkispy · 15/08/2018 22:18

@weasledee , thank you inviting me, over 40, to this thread. I'm still on the miscarriage thread.
Me 42
DD 14 months, conceived with IUI when I was 40, (first try and successful)
TTC #2
May 2018 - another IUI, first try and again successful but sadly ended in missed miscarriage. Found no HB at 8 weeks.
Had my first AF since MMC a couple of weeks ago. Starting TTC right away and already talking about the next IUI if nothing happens in the next couple of cycles. And potentially IVF.
IUIs were done back home. And IVF would be as well if it comes to it.
Haven't caught up with the threats just yet, but sorry about BFNs and congratulations to BFPs

Martydog · 15/08/2018 22:41

I’m not sure if it was on this thread or another someone recommended drinking grapefruit juice as it can increase ewcm (sorry if tmi) well I started it 3 days ago and it’s horrible but needs must. Does anyone know how long into the cycle I should drink it.

Russkispy · 15/08/2018 22:48

@Martydog , can't remember where I read about it but to drink till OV day then switching to eating pineapple and its core from 1dpo-5dpo

weasledee · 15/08/2018 23:00

Welcome Russ Smile

CookieWaffle · 15/08/2018 23:08

Glad you joined us @Raffeylou and Здравствуйте @Russkispy Grin

I never tried the grapefruit method but I swear using preseed this month helped me. Or the bloodmoon. If that's a lucky thing.

I'm quietly stressing unnecessary at the moment, had pink and dark brown wiping weirdness all day. Apparently could be normal but I keep expecting AF to appear. I'm still hot and tired but can't shake the feeling of losing this one!
