@Chatbash72 - I was taking baby aspirin while I was trying to conceive and then throughout my pregnancy to 36 weeks. Under the advice of a consultant so perfectly safe.

BooseysMom · 02/08/2018 19:04

Oh Faith..This is incredible news! Huge congratulations! I recall your TCM and wondered whether something had happened since. I thought you might have given up ttc.. i'm almost at that point now. The fact you have got thru the first trimester already is what happened with DS! And i presumed i was peri-menopausal too as i had lighter bleeding (didn't need to use tampons too) and was later each month and like you, no other symptoms Apart from a sort of nauseous feeling every morning esp when cleaning my teeth! Which incidentally i get now all the time? ! No implantation cramps and the sore boob thing i get every cycle anyway so i just sailed along completely oblivious until the 3rd month when AF didn't put in any appearance. .then the rest was incredible when we found out! Exactly as you felt too! And how are you feeling now?
Keeping the faith worked beautifully! I think i might do a fertility spell and change my passwords too as i like that idea.
Thanks for sharing and sending you loads of positive vibes xx

Amazing Faith! Great news and great to hear from you. Good luck and keep in touch!

Karigan198 · 03/08/2018 07:17

Ladies I need advice.

I think I’m getting a repeat of the May June fiasco. Again 3 weeks late with excessive CM and mega sore boobs but testing negative (again). Last time that happened I only confirmed I was pregnant with a scan.

I have to have an operation on Monday. This will include x rays and anaesthetic. I know from experience that medical professionals just look at you funny when you say you think you might be pregnant but testing negative. Obviously I can’t be sure without a scan but I can’t get one before the op. What’s the best thing to do? Normally they rule it out by testing but they don’t seem to work on me.

I can’t cancel the op as they found a mass on a scan and they need to find out if it’s a malignant tumour or not (probably not as low chances)

CookieWaffle · 03/08/2018 08:00

@Karigan198 definitely explain to them. I had a lump removed (luckily was benign) and they tested me even though I had said I wasn't pregnant and wasn't trying. Explain that you're late, perhaps they'll do it by blood first. You could always call up the ward first. When I went for mine there was a number I could call if I had any worries. I hope it all goes ok. Are you just in for the day? xx

Alibaba2 · 03/08/2018 08:01

Is the op at a hospital? Can they send you for a scan there? They wouldn’t operate if there was any risk of harm.

Karigan198 · 03/08/2018 08:05

I think it’s just the day but I have the slight tricky problem that I’m not supposed to drive after and I haven’t told anyone but my partner and he can’t get the time off.

CookieWaffle · 03/08/2018 08:20

Mine was day surgery too, if it's anything like mine they like to make sure someone goes home with you and have someone there with you for 24 hours after. Is there a friend you could ask?

They're super careful on the day, a lot of questions get asked over and over again so just tell them everything and I'm sure they'll take every precaution.

MATTSMAMMA · 03/08/2018 09:03

KARIGAN - I would ring them today and explain and see what they say. Explain what happened to you before re; being pregnant with negative tests etc. It will help put your mind at rest and you don’t want to be worrying all weekend. They will want to be absolutely sure your not pregnant too and they’ve seen and heard everything before - hope it all goes well x

Chatbash72 · 03/08/2018 09:48

@Karigan198 yup ring the ward and explain the situation, they may be able to scan you before hand.. I'm sure they will want to take all precautions x

Martydog · 03/08/2018 09:54

Hi can I join, I’m 41 been ttc number 2 for a year. I have had 2 miscarriages during that time and I’m hoping August will be our rainbow month.

Karigan198 · 03/08/2018 10:40

Hi Marty. Sorry for you losses.

Thank you all. I am going to tell them but I suspect I’ll get treated like I’m nuts again. To be frank though if the hcg isn’t high enough to register again it’ll probably be another mc in a week or so if it is a repeat of May/June 😕.

Hobbes39 · 03/08/2018 17:21

@Karigan198 - I'm so sorry you had this uncertainty again.... did you have blood HCG last time? I know of a few people for whom HCG never gets high in their urine, but a blood test should be conclusive? I'd def contact them before the op - they should be able to get results of a blood test in a couple of hours if they need to, so as long as you give enough time before they can do it and should - wen if they can't squeeze you in for a scan.
Good luck x
Nothing to report here other than an annoying lack of dtd - and not having tracked my cycle this month I'm a bit lost as to where I am! Upside is moretime for the vitamins etc to hopefully take effect!

Hobbes39 · 03/08/2018 18:22

Ug, bloody hell - I do have something to report - I have just come on my period again - and looking back that's only 21 day cycle Sad - cycle is completely up the spout it seems?!
I've had short cycles before but not often... and not since starting ivf. 21 days isn't log enough for anything to be working properly... Ug.

Karigan198 · 03/08/2018 19:11

Are you sure it’s that and not spotting?

Did you get hold of the hospital Karigan?

What a pain Hobbes.

Karigan198 · 03/08/2018 19:18

No I haven’t. Ward sister not available every time I called. I will deal with it Monday. Never know AF may show and issue will be resolved. If not then my first appointment is in the ultrasound section anyway so could just ask

littlemimosa · 03/08/2018 23:36

Hi all, sorry for going awol. Not ttc right now, having a break for a while so nothing to report. Hormones all seem to be kicking back in so that’s positive at least.
Faith - I had tears in my eyes reading your news. Congratulations you lovely lady. You give us such hope too. And encouragement. Please come back time to time and let us know how you’re doing. A sweet baby boy💕 congratulations x

Chatbash72 · 04/08/2018 08:36

Does anyone else experience bloating for taking ubiquinol? Never normally suffer from it but it's dreadful st the moment and the only change to my diet is the ubiquinol..

Angelbabyollie · 04/08/2018 20:51

Thanks x

Angelbabyollie · 04/08/2018 20:58

@KeepingTheFaith9 congratulations on your bfp, sending you much love for next 6 months xxxx

hmmm123 · 05/08/2018 10:16

Congratulations keepingthefaith!

I think the universe is conspiring against me last fertile week I was away from dh and looks like this month will be too!!! Seriously out of any 4 weeks it has to be that one!

Oh well September it is fingers crossed

TeacupTattoo · 05/08/2018 14:03

Hi can I join you all? I'm 39. Have previously had 2MC, 1MMC and had a ruptured ectopic many years ago that left me with only one ovary/tube and very nearly killed me. Since then I've had three other blessed children so I'm extremely lucky but my husband and I would love one similar in age to our toddler as there has been a decade gap!

KeepingTheFaith9 · 05/08/2018 17:46

Thanks for all the goodwill and good luck messages. I will pop back from time to time for sure. I have half a pot of progesterone cream and half a tub of DHEA going begging if anyone wants them? I’ll pop them in the post. Faith x
