Thanks for welcome Cleo!
Congrats to all the BFP’s! Hoping this thread is lucky!!

SylvanianFrenemies · 12/08/2018 22:10

They look promising @meglinco , but hard to be sure as there's not a lot of colour in the lines. Could, you splash out in a First Response? When was your period due?

meglinco · 12/08/2018 22:12

There darker in colour in person i did a clear blue and they said negative but they were digital ? I was on the pill but my last one was june july time think the end of july !! Xx

SparrowSG · 12/08/2018 22:56

Cleo I bought an Ava last month, thought as I’d just forked out a shed load on IVF I might as well add a couple more hundred!!

I bought mine from eBay though, there are quite a few nearly new that come up for sale and I paid £180, think it was only used for a couple of months.

Can’t really comment on if it’s helpful or not as I’ve not covered a full cycle yet, but it’s interesting the data it gives you. Just have to remember to put it on every night before sleeping which is the challenge for me!

Looks like we are starting to get some positive stories, fingers crossed for everyone

littlemimosa · 12/08/2018 23:10

Oh man, I turn my back for two minutes and everyone is pregnant! Also welcome to all newbies, I’m sorry I can’t keep up with everyone by name but it’s so reassuring to have so many of us over 40s ttc.

Eloisa - congratulations! I think you were the person who recommended Fertile Heart? I read both her books, they are amazing. Do you think it has helped you get pregnant?

Cleo - I do think traveling can mess up cycles yes. These days anything can mess mine up. Don’t stress yet.

littlemimosa · 12/08/2018 23:12

Meg - really sorry but I can’t read those tests. The lines seem odd.... anyone else help out?

meglinco · 12/08/2018 23:16

Any better its faint

Cleozeta · 12/08/2018 23:48

Thanks sparrow, glad I'm not the only one forking out!! Might check ebay too, that makes sense. 180 better that 249!! I just can't be arsed with temping any more, but love a bit of data.
Meglinco, sorry I can't see the lines (can't enlarge the pic on my phone, so too small to see) but fingers crossed for you.
Mimosa, thanks, I hope its just that. I think I'm the same as you, anything can mess mine up too! Although I've ov'd every cycle for a year now so probably due a screwy one

mellongoose · 13/08/2018 08:06

Still no AF!

SylvanianFrenemies · 13/08/2018 08:25

@meglinco I can see something but I don't think it's enough to be reliable. Some tests are easier to read/more definitive than others.

When was/is your period due?

If your period is late I'd buy a first response or a superdrug drug pink dye test and use it first thing in the morning.

If you can't do that go to your GP/practice nurse/family planning clinic and explain that you've had some confusing tests and ask them to test you.

Karigan198 · 13/08/2018 08:33

Can I get a brainstorm from you ladies because I don’t know wtf is going on.

Miscarriage 17.6.18
Still no AF to date.

Would be ignoring it as I know it can take time to get back on track however I had clear ovulation signs w/c 16.7.18 (loads of ewcm) and 3 days of spotting last week. Very light brown blood only.

Never had a scan etc following miscarriage as it was early and a very heavy bleed so seemed complete and dr concurred it probably wasn’t necessary.

I don’t think there is any way that this was anovulatory cycle as the signs were strong (loads of cm, very sore boobs etc). Still got sore boobs. Any ideas?

Karigan198 · 13/08/2018 08:35

Goes without saying really that I’ve tested and it’s negative (not that that means much lol)

TeacupTattoo · 13/08/2018 08:44

@Lumpy76 I'm sorry to hear about the haemorrhaging, that must have been so scary. I'd done an early mc naturally and that was bad so chose D&C for mmc but then got infection after and haemorrhaged two days later. I spent all last night waking up in a panic/in awe that I'm really pregnant hahahaha I'm knackered.

TeacupTattoo · 13/08/2018 08:45

@Karigan198 I don't have any knowledge to give you I'm afraid...i hope you are being gentle on yourself, it takes time to recover both physically and mentally. Maybe test again in 48hrs?

Cleozeta · 13/08/2018 09:19

Do you feel pregnant karigan? Could it be worth doing a private scan again? Or blood test?

Karigan198 · 13/08/2018 09:38

I don’t really know. Last time it was obvious as I felt so bloated. A couple of things are making me wonder if I should. I’m waking up at night again etc but not enough to think ‘the rest is definitely wrong’ like last time.

Karigan198 · 13/08/2018 09:38

Test not test

Chatbash72 · 13/08/2018 10:38

@Karigan198 can you bare to wait another few days to test again?

culleyace · 13/08/2018 10:49

@Meglinco this is my first test and I thought it was my eyesight but it soon became clear I was pregnant and my daughter was born in December. Good luck.

Karigan198 · 13/08/2018 11:03

I intend to leave it another 6 days. Did a test Sunday and it was negative. Will try again next Sunday. Doubt I’ll see an AF before then.

I googled spotting instead of a period. Found a list of 22 reasons why it might happen. 3 most likely in the circumstances were: 1) pregnant, 2) hormone imbalance, 3) peri menopausal. I think 3 unlikely as when I had bloods done a few months back the results were good with no sign of that yet. Could they really differ that much in a few months?

megan18 · 13/08/2018 11:19

@culleyace i got a negitive this morning or so faint ?? But my sample was weak considering i waiting 8 hours cx

culleyace · 13/08/2018 12:05

@megan18 that test was so feint I went and bought some Tesco cheapies and tested again.
The first test was 17th April and the first picture in these pictures was the Tesco test also on the 17th of April.
The second picture was test taken on the 18th of April and the 3rd was the 21st.
I hope this helps I have everything crossed for all of you. Good luck.

@culleyace mine seems to be getting lighter but im going to get more tests now

Cleozeta · 13/08/2018 13:19

Karigan I think it can fluctuate massively. My first fsh was 10 (almost normal), then 6 months later it was 18.4 (nearly post menopause) and 2 months later bfp.
But I think in your case it's more likely either another mystery pregnancy or something post mc related. Have you seen a gp yet? Might be worth checking in with them after what happened last time

littlemimosa · 13/08/2018 14:23

Karigan if it’s any slight help I’m still waiting on af even though i had strong ovulation signs 3 weeks ago. I’m also wondering if I had a chemical pregnancy in May and that it’s just knocked everything out of whack. Other than peri as a reason I’ve never had such a long time without a bleed. It’s so frustrating. So I feel your pain. I think our bodies can be complete mysteries to us at time even though we’ve been having periods for decades. Do you do the Yin Yoga? I know she does a couple for inducing a period and regulating things....
