Hey and welcome @TeacupTattoo, sounds like you've had quite a traumatic time. Wishing you lots of luck xx

Chatbash72 · 06/08/2018 01:11

Welcome @TeacupTattoo so sorry you have had such a rough journey... hope you find some comfort and support here..
af due in 2 days... wish it would just turn up already so can get on with next cycle x

Letsdothis42 · 06/08/2018 02:27

@Keepingthefaith WOW!!!! I am so so so so happy for your amazing news and all your positivity! we so needed this! amazing and I have everything crossed for you! on a side note what do you mean you were about to cast a spell?! (off to google DHEA!) yes I have been burying my head about all the vitamins we should be taking or are recommended to take, I only take Folic Acid!

No news here ladies AF due today but after the complete mystery of the last month I have no idea if it will come or not and although in 30 years of having AF its been late once I have now no faith in my body! no idea!

TeacupTattoo · 06/08/2018 10:37

Thanks for the welcome. Can anyone recommend an app to track periods? Is fertility friend easiest? I had odd two week gap between periods last month so I've no idea what's going on and feel I should be keeping better note even if it becomes just for spotting peri-menopause!

Karigan198 · 06/08/2018 12:56

I liked Glow. It’s a good app.

Op all done. Told them I was unsure. They said it shouldn’t be an issue. Now just waiting for the anaesthetic to wear off.

Still no sign of AF but boobs are a bit less sore so wondering if it’s coming soon. If nothing happens in the next few days I’m going to be completely bemused again as it’s now 16 days since the last day I had tons of ewcm.

Chatbash72 · 06/08/2018 13:33

I use Kindara

Cleozeta · 06/08/2018 16:22

Hi all, just back from 2 week holiday and so pleased to return to good news - CONGRATS FAITH!!! How amazing, you must be over the moon! And to be past the 12 week mark too, best of luck for a smooth and successful 6 months, keep us updated!
Also congrats to Step! I remember you from before, so pleased you have returned with good news, this gives us so much hope.
Welcome to all the newbies. Lets hope this shiny new thread brings luck to all of us.

So while I was away, I didn't think about ttc at all, it was very refreshing. I think I needed that. And I have also come to terms with the fact that this may not happen for me, and I'm ok with that. I'll krep trying, though on a lighter, more relaxed manner.
Also, on a slightly different note, I did a loof people watching while away and I noticed, that as a general rule, when women are no longer fertile, their waist goes. Weather large or skinny, a womans waist becomes very straight down. I've noticed mine starting to go that way. Not completely, but nearly, and I know that being peri menopausal, that is not a good sign for me, but I'm starting to accept it. And it's ok, I am happy anyway Smile

Karigan198 · 06/08/2018 17:55

You never know Cleo the not trying may be what makes it happen.

I’m not trying anymore either. I’m just not using birth control and if it happens it happens.

Karigan198 · 06/08/2018 17:55

Glad you had a nice holiday

CookieWaffle · 06/08/2018 18:18

Glad everything went OK with the op @Karigan198,now just have a good rest.

@TeacupTattoo I used FF and Flo but I've stuck with FF as I've found the charts more clear.

Cleozeta · 06/08/2018 18:21

The whole thing was just stressing me out.
And anyway I'm now in fw and really can't bear the thought of dtd in this heat....
Might just take this cycle off altogether

Chatbash72 · 06/08/2018 18:33

@Karigan198 doing the same as you..

Karigan198 · 06/08/2018 18:53

The whole May/June saga just exhausted me and made me not want to try anymore.

mellongoose · 06/08/2018 20:15

Very happy for you @KeepingTheFaith9. Lovely news!

I'm still in the throws of the tww. AF is due on Friday or thereabouts. Although I had terrible pmt at the weekend (worse than usual) so am not holding out much hope!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

weasledee · 06/08/2018 21:10

Hi all, well after my month of no real opk positive and no temp drop, I've started AF tonight, a whole 5 days early!!! Never happens. Last month 5 days late, now 5 days early!
Urgh, I'm feeling the same about the whole ttc, just don't know how long I can carry on but also I can't imagine not trying either...... Confused

Angelbabyollie · 06/08/2018 22:01

Evening everyone hope your all ok, I was just wondering has anyone tried red maca root and your opinions - I was researching and thought may balance hormones to hopefully bring af back after angel baby. It's now 15 weeks postpartum just thought may be worth a shot?! Xxxx

starsandstuff · 07/08/2018 13:03

@KeepingTheFaith9 Congratulations!! I was just lurking in the last thread as I didn't have much to contribute (on now to Cycle 4) so it's lovely to check into this new one and see wonderful news! I'm also really reassured by your mention of your last light AF. My last one was only 2 days - the shortest in my life - and I was thinking "Well that's it then, it's full steam towards menopause" so that's given me some hope.

I was really sure it had happened last month. We were on a lovely holiday in a very secluded villa and DTD a LOT (TMI) and I had a week of cramping before AF was due, which I never have, and then it was a couple of days late...and nothing but BFNs. I felt very deflated even thought I know I have no right when I've only been trying a few months. But it's not helped by a friend announcing she's 4 months gone, and my DP's DD just having her 12 week scan on Friday. She started trying at exactly the same time as us coincidentally and fell pregnant immediately! I'm really happy for her but looking at the scan pics definitely left me feeling a bit wistful...

Chatbash72 · 07/08/2018 13:34

Ooh @starsandstuff.. I hear you.. cuddling my new nephew was lovely but hard..

starsandstuff · 07/08/2018 15:04

@Chatbash72 congrats on being an Auntie (is that your first? I love being an Auntie Smile) but that must have been hard Flowers

Chatbash72 · 07/08/2018 16:20

@starsandstuff actually nope this is my 2nd on my side but 10th on hubs side

starsandstuff · 07/08/2018 17:03

That's a lot of babies Shock I only have 2. They're the light of my life although they're the easiest kids in the world so I'm not sure they're a realistic model for parenthood...

Cleozeta · 07/08/2018 17:42

I've just realised that although I have felt sad that my 2 children will probably never have cousins, l had not even considered that I may never be an auntie! Am I missing out?? I think I am! DH is an only child, and my 2 sibblings are unlikely to have children (through choice) so no nephews or neices for me!

starsandstuff · 07/08/2018 21:08

Aw @Cleozeta sorry!! I do love being an Auntie but I've no kids, so they get all my maternal side - it's maybe different when you have your own DC? Also bear in mind you sometimes have to babysit for free when you've planned a weekend in your jammies drinking gin

BooseysMom · 07/08/2018 21:40

Welcome Marty & Teacup. This thread is hugely popular now!
Karigan.. Glad the op went ok and hope you're recovering well. So strange about lack of AF again..Confused
Cleo..interesting about women's waists sort of disappearing in peri-men. I've put on nearly half a stone over the summer and feel v unfit so can't be helping the whole ttc thing. But like you i'm having to come to terms with it not happening now. DS will be an only but he's not bothered one bit! DH would love another but we're hardly in the position to consider it seriously anyway so ttc has always been 'if it happens it happens, if it doesn't then that's how it is'. I presume i've just finished ovulating and had some pretty unbearable cramps and def what looked and felt like fertile mucus but we only dtd twice and when i should have done it, i was in pain and it was too hot. So there's always something stopping me. I'm just too scared i think. I'm 46 and feeling exhausted every day. Anyway sorry for moaning! Sad

Cleozeta · 07/08/2018 21:51

Haha stars, yes that could put a potential dampner on plans!

Boosey, sorry you are not feeling too positive. It can get to us so much when it's just not happening, but we have to also look at stories like faith's and step's. It CAN still happen! I'm just going into things with a bit more of a casual approach now I think.
I have also put on loads of weight over the summer, but to be honest, the food (and wine) on holiday was amazing so I don't care.....
