Where are you in your cycle? Could it be you’re having a longer LH rise and fall?

Hopefully it’s nothing to do with Peri.

Welcome all the new people.

My AF is still awol. Have had a bit of spotting though. Sunday will make it 8 weeks from LMP/mc and 4 weeks from when I had ovulation signs 🤷‍♀️.

crivit · 10/08/2018 18:14

It could simply be a random cycle? A sort of fertility amnesia where the body forgets what it's supposed to do. Like when we walk into a room and forget what we went in there for. When we leave said room we often remember. Similarly, when the next cycle starts the body re-sets and hopefully remembers!

Only just thought of this idea / analogy but I like it. I've been doing the forgetting thing since I was a kid so I'm going to try and forgive my body for doing similar with my fertility / cycle Smile

Cleozeta · 10/08/2018 19:48

Hopefully its just a long LH rise and not anovulatory. Last time I had one of those it lasted 3 months, don't think I could bear that again.

I know what you mean about forgetting things, I do that all the time, so wouldn't be at all surprised if the old haggered body did the same.

Karrigan, hope things sort out for you soon, must be frustrating

Chatbash72 · 10/08/2018 23:14

Welcome @wimsywon and @DoraDont.. big congrats @CookieWaffle.. gosh I go away and it's all going on xx

Martydog · 10/08/2018 23:45

Af reared her head today and it has really hit me hard today. But I am now thinking more positive so I am determined to do something different as both times I got pregnant it was after something new.

So this my normal routine 5mg folic acid, pregnancy multivitamins, aspirin, progesterone cream, pineapple dpo 1 - 5. So what can I add to this?

wimsywon · 10/08/2018 23:57

Thanks for welcoming me Smile i hope to share good news and celebrate our successes! SmileFlowers

mellongoose · 11/08/2018 08:08

Gahh! Another invalid one. They are FRER but Superdrug's own brand. TBF it came out of the same packet. Buy cheap, buy twice. I never learn.

I'm heartened by still no AF this morning though. I knew I should've waited until Monday!

Karigan198 · 11/08/2018 08:12

Hey Marty, a while ago we discovered that nearly everyone who had has a positive was taking vitamin b6.

wimsywon · 11/08/2018 09:28

Needing reassurance. I'm 4dpo, cm has mostly gone and i'm not sure if other symptoms are in my head, such as mild cramps, sore ish nipples, excess siliva and my temp is fluctuating in a .2 range (between 36.5-36.7). Have i missed the boat this month? Or is it too early to know? When should i expect the unexpected, if anything is to be expected?? SmileConfused

Karigan198 · 11/08/2018 09:33

4dpo your symptoms are supposed to go. They should be kicking in around 7dpo onwards. So no not missed the boat just symptom spotting too early

mellongoose · 11/08/2018 09:50

BFN Sad

Orchid222 · 11/08/2018 09:57

Oh no Mellon so sorry! I was hoping this was your month. Onwards and upwards xx

OP posts:
Orchid222 · 11/08/2018 10:01

Wimsy is this your first month trying? 4dpo is way too early to symptom spot so sit back, relax and wait. Even if you have symptoms (imagined or not) AF can still get you and vice versa, you can have zero symptoms and still be pregnant so there's just no rule and the only way to know is wait until AF is due.

wimsywon · 11/08/2018 10:29

Sorry to hear that mellon (i'm in tears for you) i know how much it hurts. But it means you can prepare for next cycle xx

wimsywon · 11/08/2018 10:40

Hi orchid, yes our first try but did it by the book so to speak. Checked dates, did the deed in the run upto ov which should've been on 7th, its now the 11th. I read that women over 40 can have a false cycle where an egg isn't released? I'm 43...had a baby 24years ago (unplanned but very much welcomed) my periods are regular but heavier than 5 years ago. I actually feel odd today 4dpo but its probably the anxious wait that is consuming me! What are your thoughts on 'false' cycles?

Karigan198 · 11/08/2018 10:46

Meh BFN means nothing until AF comes if you ask me lol.

mellongoose · 11/08/2018 15:23

Loving your optimism, @Karigan198. I'm with you and still hoping 🤞😀

CookieWaffle · 11/08/2018 16:53

Thanks Chat :)

Currently feeling like I've got some dodgy stomach ache that won't go away and feeling out of breath alot. DP is still not totally believing it, but I've explained that AF would've come by now!

littlemimosa · 11/08/2018 18:06

Congrats Cookie!

Kari sorry you’re in limbo. Me too. CD75 here. Not kidding. Pretty sure I’m due AF any moment now though. Good job we’re not even ttc at the moment. Hope things get back to normal for you soon.

Cleozeta · 11/08/2018 21:12

Sorry you got bfn mellon. But as karigan said, it doesn't necessarily mean you are out!

Wow mimosa - 75 days?! Urgh. Think I may be heading for one of those. Opk today has gone to blank. Not sure weather to be pleased that lh isn't constantly high (sign of impending menopause) or gutted that its blank on cd14 and likely an anovulatory cycle.

Does anyone here have an ava bracelet?

Chatbash72 · 11/08/2018 23:58

Af 4 days late according to app... but had a funny cycle this month with some odd spotting on Day 9,10,11.. ov later than norm loads of ewcm didn't do an opk as I don't.. but not on day 34 of cycle.. no obvious symptoms either way as boobs are always mental.. on hols so might test tomorrow if I'm not chicken enough

AuntieGeek · 12/08/2018 07:03

Mind if I join?
I'm 43 in a fortnight, literally had my mirena removed on Friday so zero idea of what my cycle is /going to be. DFiancé and I are TTC #1

Good luck to everyone

user1483961132 · 12/08/2018 07:54

hi all,
I've been reading the thread for a while but haven't logged in as not sure what my details were. My username in the thread is Eloisa but i can't find the details for that account so logged in again with google.

I wanted to post today to give you encouragement as I got a bfp yesterday - I'm 45 so amongst the older ladies in the group. I'm hoping this will give you all a boost, inspire you all to keep going and not to feel negatively about what your bodies are capable of!
I took 7 seas prenatals, omega 3 and vitamin d. In previous cycles I took royal jelly but gave up on that recently.
I also had some energy healing to help me move on from a previous mc - and did a lot of grieving earlier this month around that. So I think that helped with conceiving again. Who knows what mother nature has in store this time but I believe in trusting to her amazing inteliigence.

Cleozeta · 12/08/2018 09:02

Welcome auntiegeek, and congrats eloisa! Fingers crossed this is it for you.
Thank you for letting us know, we love a bfp here, sadly they don't happen often!!

Chatbash72 · 12/08/2018 10:02
