Anyone around 9 dpo?

Hi wondering if anyone is around 9dpo and wants to join me for the agonising wait? I'm trying to hold off from testing until at least 12dpo but it's so hard! I've never obsessed over something so much and I'm only on my 2nd cycle Sad

@lavenderlove Sorry to hear that. There is still a glimmer of hope if AF hasn't arrived. I read online earlier that quite a few women had had BFN at 9/10/11/12DPO and then suddenly get lines on say 13/14DPO. I'm in the same
boat- think AF is due Sat/Sun, done a FRER this morning and it was a BFN. I've got a suspected UTI at the moment too, so I've been feeling really shitty but been getting symptoms similar to early pregnancy at the same time, but unsure whether it's all the infection symptoms or potentially early pregnancy symptoms! I think I'm out this month too though, I just have a feeling about it x

dreaminofholidays · 29/08/2018 19:26

hello again, sorry I dropped off for a while. TTW sounds very frustrating.

It could just be late implantation and your BFPs could be just around the corner.

I found ttc very stressful last month, hoping I can be more relaxed about it this time round but j doubt it.

How is everyone else? xxx

lavenderlove · 30/08/2018 20:03

Thanks @thatshabbychick I'm going to test tomorrow but not feeling too hopeful. I've used an OPK today and it was a strong positive but I've been told that can happen just before af is due Sad so I think she's just round the corner.
Aw no! poor you UTI's are awful. Hope you get better soon. When are you thinking of testing again?

@dreaminofholidays it is frustrating! Where are you in your cycle? I've decided to step away from the OPK's next cycle as it's making me stress out too. Hoping I can relax a bit and not think about it every single day! Haha

@lavenderlove Don't lose hope! I had no idea that using OPK's after ovulation indicated anything?!
I used a cheap test yesterday morning and convinced myself a shadow was starting, but to just look at it was a def negative. Went out shopping etc and brought a twin pack of FRER- came back at lunchtime and couldn't wait until today to try one. First one faint, but definite BFP!! Did the other one an hour later, slightly fainter than previous, but again a def line- so BFP! Hubby brought two more cheap chemists tests and two CB digital last night- yet again, I couldn't wait- both were BFN?!? I figured it must be diluted urine, so woke up at 3am and did the other cheap one and that was a questionable BFN!? So now I'm super confused!!! I can't afford to buy anymore tests really and I'm inclined to trust the 2x FRER's from yesterday. But the cheap chemists ones claim to be 5 day early, highly accurate ones as well!!???

Glitterandunicorns · 31/08/2018 07:32

Hi @thatshabbychick. I'd be inclined to believe the FRER, so congratulations! You're far more likely to get a false negative than a false positive.

Digital tests need higher levels of HCG in the urine to register a positive, so if you're early in pregnancy, they sometimes won't pick it up.

Best of luck!

Squ1ggle · 31/08/2018 09:04

@thatshabbychick I hope it is good news, maybe wait a couple of days and then take one more test first thing in the morning for optimim hormone levels.

AF arrived for me today, 2 blummin days early so I guess my ovulation dates (as predicted by my app) were wrong as well. Have bought opks for next month so hopefully will be able to figure things out a bit more and stand a better chance

Akasia · 31/08/2018 09:08

@thatshabbychick I have to agree with @glitterandunicorns, sometimes the cheaper ones are juat rubbish and digitals needs a higher concentration of hcg for a positive.
Both lines on Frer came up within the timeframe? A
Have you got any pictures for us?

Thethreeandme · 31/08/2018 15:35

Hi ladies I'm not back as such jist an update .. trying not to put too much pressure on but I noticed ewcm this morning .. dtd so will jist have to see. I'm not testing or looking our for symptoms jist gonna carry on as normal! Good luck to you all xx

thatshabbychick · 31/08/2018 16:07

Thanks for your replies ladies. I got a positive on a CB digital today, so the FRER's were right and the cheap "highly accurate" tests were useless!! Unfortunately, as annoying as it is having to spend loads of money on tests, I do think that the more expensive ones are more reliable! The cheap ones are obviously cheap for a reason!
If my dates are right, I am exactly 4 weeks pregnant. I have super sore boobs, slight cramping, keep having hot flushes in my face and keep feeling sick/have a headache. Plus I'm having the weirdest dreams and just not sleeping well in general!! And needing a wee more often already!! 🙈 Wishing you all lots of luck xx

Squ1ggle · 31/08/2018 16:34

eeeeeee that's so exciting @thatshabbychick, congratulations!!

Squ1ggle · 31/08/2018 16:34

Thank you @Thethreeandme, good luck to you too

dreaminofholidays · 01/09/2018 10:38

@Thatshabbychick congratulations, wonderful news!

Does anyone have recommendations for opks? I used CBD tests last month with the flashing and static smileys which was fine but I know they need to get a baseline to work so I would rather just get a different type. Got some sticks from Sainsbury's but you have to pee in a cup and only test a room temp. All seems a bit of a faff.

is there an ovulation test I can just wee on? (such a weird request....)

xxx

lavenderlove · 01/09/2018 19:48

Congratulations @thatshabbychick!! That's amazing. So happy for you, good luck for the next 9 months! Also good to know the cheap tests can be unreliable. AF arrived for me today unfortunately x

@Squ1ggle sorry af arrived for you. She's arrived for me too today hopefully this next cycle will be our lucky one! X

@Thethreeandme good luck for this cycle. I am doing what you're doing this month. Not going to buy myself any tests or OPK's just going to go with it x

@dreaminofholidays I just bought the cheap OPK's from eBay and they worked perfectly well. I used to get my dark line around the same time as predicted so I think they are pretty accurate x

@lavenderlove I think we have to .. it drives us to insanity and were much more likely to conceive with less stress xx

spottypyjamas · 02/09/2018 09:42

Hello all.
Sorry I've been missing since last month. Kinda find it easier to block out ttc when I can to escape the stress of it!
Sorry those hoping for bfps who haven't got them yet, but they WILL come.
So I'm 12dpo today. Last month at 11dpo I had this faint pink line which turned out to be nothing so I'm super cautious of these ic tests. This month yesterday I had a pink line in completely the wrong place, duff test I assume. Today a faint Line, took a few mins to appear. (See photo). Figured anything would appear quicker / be darker by 12dpo so assuming it's the tests playing tricks on me again but here's hoping!

Anyone around 9 dpo?
thatshabbychick · 02/09/2018 17:14

@lavenderlove Sorry to hear that. I'll be thinking of you this month and sending you loads of luck xx

BobbySD345 · 02/09/2018 21:16

Sorry to jump on here but is anyone else 9dpo and wondering when is acceptable to test and not to be an impatient so and so ??? I have bought a CB digi which allows testing up to 6 days before AF is due but I feel like I should hold out a couple of days longer ... I have crazy symptoms but after 18 months of this, there have been many months where I was convinced it'd worked and AF showed up...

Squ1ggle · 03/09/2018 10:10

@BobbySD345 it's so tempting isn't it. I don't think cbd are as sensitive so you might be better waiting a few days for a (hopefully) higher hormone level

Thethreeandme · 03/09/2018 15:11

Omg ladies I'm starting to get the bug again.. it's hard but I'm very conscious that I think I ovulate on the 25th.. so would be due between 8th and 10th.. ooooor if my cycle is long like last month ill be due around the 15th.. trying so hard not to think about it or Google anything lol.. wish me luck in staying strong haha xx

Thethreeandme · 03/09/2018 15:13

@BobbySD345 believe me I know how tempting it is. I wasted sòooo much money last month.. I was 6 days late and tested near enough every day lol.. if you have symptoms try your hardest to wait another two days.. easy for us to advise when we can't do it ourselves lol .. good luck though xx

xJune88 · 03/09/2018 15:20

10dpo maximum. Negative on a frer this afternoon wondering if I'm out.... x

BobbySD345 · 03/09/2018 15:27

@xJune88 I am so impatient I took one this morning at 10dpo .... I've had really bad cramps plus nausea and headaches but it is so early it is probably just a coincedence. I have had 2 MCs and symptoms were different both times. I'm useless at waiting!

There was at the absolute most the faintest of faintest lines on a CB test this morning but my eyes do often try to see something that isn't there ! It could be nothing so now I will have to wait a few days to re test and be patient !

@Thethreeandme I would have tested every day, 6 days late is so late !! Googling and peeing on a stick have become the norm for me but I do think it starts to drive you mad !

Thethreeandme · 03/09/2018 15:30

@BobbySD345 I know wjat you mean seeing lines!! I convinced myself but if there's nothing there you can't pretend you see something so maybe a positive for you!! When is af due? Xx

xJune88 · 03/09/2018 15:37

@BobbySD345 me too 2 miscarriages.. still waiting for my miracle!! Trying to get on and enjoy life but still fixated with getting pregnant argh x
