Anyone around 9 dpo?

Hi wondering if anyone is around 9dpo and wants to join me for the agonising wait? I'm trying to hold off from testing until at least 12dpo but it's so hard! I've never obsessed over something so much and I'm only on my 2nd cycle Sad

@lavenderlove haha I've got 3 apps too Blush I use NC only because i temp and it was for that reason. I find fertility friend the most useful though to be fair. It's all a bladdy minefeidl. I dunno how my friends fell preggo first cycle lo

Squ1ggle · 15/08/2018 06:30

Hi everyone, sorry for being awol for a bit. So sorry for those with AF arriving. Would be good to stick around and support each other through the next cycle. We're on cycle 2 now, still working on the basic assumption that if we have sex a lot it will happen but if it doesn't this month I suppose I'll have to stay thinking about charting things better. Any advice for a complete beginner who has never paid the slightest bit of notice to her cycles? I have the glow app but are there any other recommendations?

sunshine1987 · 15/08/2018 06:51

@Squ1ggle the simplest and less daunting/stressful bit I think is looking at your CM to start with. It tells you a lot about whether you're currently fertile etc. Won't cost money and is less stressful then peeing on a OPK every day and wondering why the line isn't getting darker and taking you temperature and wondering when it's going to rise high enough for ovulation!

lavenderlove · 15/08/2018 22:46

@sunshine1987 it is a minefield! How do you find temping? I might have to try it if this month fails

OP posts:
lavenderlove · 15/08/2018 22:50

@Squ1ggle I think that's good advice from @sunshine1987. Could maybe buy some of the really cheap OPK's off amazon and I usually just use one around tea time from CD 9 or 10. If you're having sex a lot though you're probably going to catch ovulation anyway!

sunshine1987 · 16/08/2018 11:29

@lavenderlove I find it works best for me. I get stressed out with OPK's if it doesn't go positive but with my temperature I find it picks up ovulation anyway so I don't worry about the lines not going darker etc. Sometimes I still use the OPK's and this month I've used the clear blue advanced but temping alone would work really well for me as well as CM

lavenderlove · 16/08/2018 14:50

@sunshine1987 I know what you mean about OPK's especially when i seem to get faint lines throughout my whole cycle! I've just got a very positive OPK today on CD12. Feeling really positive about this month because my ewcm has arrived with my positive test, whereas last month it came a couple of days before then it had gone when I got my positive OPK. Fingers crossed!

Ladies please advice! I'm 6 days late.. Bfn still no symptoms. Does this mean I didn't ovulate this month. I'm worried somethi g is wrong with me x

Akasia · 17/08/2018 22:38

Hello ladies, hope you're all well. How are things going, anyone ovulated yet? 😃 such a strange thing to ask.
@Thethreeandme I think you shouldn't worry. Ttc has this tendency of messing with your body so you will have strange things happening to you. Like periods will always be late especially when you're 100% sure you are pregnant. Or you'll start feeling nausous or have a metallic taste in your mouth when actually it's our minds playing tricks on us. It could also be that you ovulated late. Last month I was 4 days late and in last 2 years I've only been late once. But I am sure that is because I was convinced I was pregnant. Maybe if af doesnt show in a week or you are very worried contact your gp to get some reassurance.
Thw stress of ttc has got to me this time, I actually decided to take a break from it (had no sex, so my great SMEP plan went out the window). But today had lots of ewcm (sorry) so kind of considering giving it a good go over the weekend and if it doesn't happen this month then will take a break..
Whoo, this is a long message 😶

Thethreeandme · 18/08/2018 06:44

@Akasia it's a totally normal thing to ask on this thread haha.. and I know my body has been messed up this month. It's put a lot of strain on my oh too. So much so that last night he left to go and stay at his moms cor a week. I'm utterly heartbroken don't know which way my life is heading so I'm kinda glad I'm getting bfn now as he clearly isn't as into the idea as he used to be. I've also booked a smear for next week as I had abnormal cells a few years back so just rule that out too .. mines all doom and gloom.. how is everyone else's? Bit more positive I hope and getting some good news? Xx

lavenderlove · 18/08/2018 13:16

@Thethreeandme I hope you're ok, sounds like you've had a tough week. It's possible that the stress is effecting your cycle, but I would go to the doctor to rule out anything else you're worried about. Like @Akasia says TTC really does mess up your cycle, I'm never late but my first month TTC I was a few days late. I hope you can sort things out with your OH if that's what you want. Take some time for yourself today, sending a virtual hug!

OP posts:
lavenderlove · 18/08/2018 13:25

@Akasia I think I ovulated today or yesterday I'm not sure. I'm on CD14 now and just got a negative OPK. I got positive ones on CD12 and 13. A month or so break will make no difference in the long run so you've done the right thing if the stress was getting to you - it's so stressful isn't it! I have been doing SMEP so I'm really hoping it works. When I've got my last two cycles of BFN's I can always think of a reason I might not have got a BFP, but I feel like we have done everything we can this month so it will be more disappointing if it doesn't happen. Good luck for this weekend if you decide to give it a go!

Thethreeandme · 18/08/2018 13:36

@lavenderlove thank you.. I could feel it! I feel so tearful jist wish I could get af now. I do hope we can sort things out he just seems to have withdrawn since all this. I am going to stop trying and just concentrate on us.. if he wants to make us work that is. I just don't know we've not spoken in 2 days. I hope we can when he gets back from work xx

lavenderlove · 18/08/2018 16:14

@Thethreeandme oh bless you Sad I hope af comes for you soon and you and your OH work things out. If your OH is anything like me then I didn't realise just how stressful TTC can be. I think that's a good idea, a few months working on just you two could make all the difference. Hopefully these 2 days have given you both chance to gather your thoughts and you can move forward. Good luck, let us know how you get on xx

Thethreeandme · 19/08/2018 08:06

@lavenderlove he did cone back after work gave me a hug that just melted my anxiety had a good talk and guess what!! Af came about a few hours after he got back!! I can't believe it, was almost the release of stress flipped a switch. We kinda said no more 'trying' and being calculated about it because it's making us stressed and romance is dead but if it happens then fantastic.. feel so much better this morning and I genuinely am happy af has arrived. Although it's in full force ooooowch thank you for your support hope you're getting on ok? Are you in tww again now? Xx

lavenderlove · 19/08/2018 17:49

@Thethreeandme Aww I'm really glad things went well! And pleased af showed up for you (sounds weird saying that!). That's a good approach, it can really kill the romance can't it! Haha. Hope everything works out nicely for you Smile and I'm getting on ok thanks, yeh I'm in the TWW now so keeping my fx that this is my month! Will keep you updated x

OP posts:
Squ1ggle · 20/08/2018 14:27

@Thethreeandme so pleased that you and your OH have managed to sort things out. We've definitely found this month (our first being super calculated about it all rather than just getting frisky on holiday) that there feels like so much more pressure. I can see it all getting too much if we don't conceive in the next few months. It makes you realise just what those people who have had long term struggles with infertility really go through Sad

Thethreeandme · 20/08/2018 14:57

@lavenderlove thank you it was tough but being able to talk about the disappointment helped. I think jist enjoying it will help. Proof is in the pudding my stress levels made me a week late this month, that can't be healthy! I'll keep all my fx for you this month.
@Squ1ggle, it does make a difference because when you get dead serious about it I think you kinda expect it to happen in the first month. And you're so right I feel for them, my uncle and his wife had 6 miscarriages and finally had their daughter after 5 years .. I've been trying 3 months and it nearly broke us. Shows the strength of couples I suppose. I was quite surprised we didn't handle it as well.. learning curve for us I think xx

froghoppers · 23/08/2018 11:31

How are you doing @Squ1ggle and @Thethreeandme ? Hope af is over for you @Thethreeandme. Are you in the TWW yet @Squ1ggle ? X

Squ1ggle · 23/08/2018 11:51

Thanks @froghoppers, yep tww here. I ovulated on Sunday according to my app so hopefully will be able to test early next week. Fingers crossed!

Thethreeandme · 23/08/2018 19:34

@froghoppers hi yes af is all done and dusted.. only lasted 2 days lol.. to be honest I'm not going to track anything this month, the stress if it delayed af by a week and put so mich pressure on me and oh.. how are you getting on xx

Akasia · 24/08/2018 18:00

Hi all!
How's everyone getting on?
@thethreeandme so glad you're working things out with your oh and hope that you will stress less about everything.
@lavanderlove I think I've seen you post on one of the line eyes threads? If it is you, tentative congratulations as it looked positive 🙈
Any of you any good with BBT charting interpretations? I have 3 different ovulation dates from 3 different apps based on my bbt and I am very confused 😶

lavenderlove · 25/08/2018 19:59

Hi @Akasia I think it was a dodgy test it disappeared after about 15 minutes and then I have had 2 negatives since! So annoying. I'm only 7/8 dpo today though so I'm trying to hold out hope!
I don't do BBT sorry! I'm going to start doing it next month though.
@Thethreeandme how lucky are you only getting a 2 day af!
@Squ1ggle looks like we will be testing around the same time. What dpo are you?

OP posts:
Squ1ggle · 25/08/2018 20:19

@lavenderlove sorry you had that, such a rollercoaster of emotions. I think I'm DPO 6/7 so a day or 2 behind you. Desperate to test, I've felt rubbish today, bit weak and dizzy so I can feel myself getting my hopes up when it's probably just the beginnings of a cold or something. I'm out all day tomorrow so can keep occupied but might do a sneaky test on Monday. I know it's too early really but I can't resist

Akasia · 26/08/2018 08:36

sorry you've had that @lavanderlove 😔 tww is pure rubbish. But like you say it is early days so abstain from testing (if you can) until closer to af to avoid any more disappointment.
@squ1ggle best of luck for when you're testing! You never know, you might think it's ealy but I see lots of ladies here betting their bfp at 7-8dpo 🤞
I am pretty sure I am 7 or 8dpo and tested with ic this morning and clear negative. But my breasts are sore and I am telling myself maybe just maybe this is the month. Although it's more likely from going off road cycling with no bra 😂
