Anyone around 9 dpo?

Hi wondering if anyone is around 9dpo and wants to join me for the agonising wait? I'm trying to hold off from testing until at least 12dpo but it's so hard! I've never obsessed over something so much and I'm only on my 2nd cycle

Hi @Akasia I'm on CD 8 and going to do SMEP this month too. Hopefully sticking to it better than last month! So I'll be starting with dtd every other day from today. Hope it works! Have you heard from anyone who's tried it?

Ooh it sounds promising for you @Thethreeandme good luck!! Hope you get your BFP on tues! SMEP is the sperm meets egg plan, I think it's dtd every other day from CD 8 and then 3 days in a row from when you get a positive OPK. Then you miss one day and dtd again the next day. I tried it last month but didn't stick to it properly as we found it quite hard to keep up with haha!

Oooh ok thank you for explaining that so confusing lol.. and thank you I hope so , although my oh has said today maybe if it doesn't happen this month maybe we should wait a few months.. feel really discouraged now regardless of result xx

Will keep my fingers crossed for you @Thethreeandme and oh no, how long have you been trying? Does he mean start using protection for a few months or just not focus on trying as much?

Like start using protection for a few months.. we be been actively trying for 3 months now so I'm really confused. He has just started a new job so I'm hoping it's just that but I've said to him we still have the best part of a year before little one would be here anyway!! Xx

@Thethreeandme ah I can imagine that is really discouraging for you especially if you don't want to take a break from trying. Yeh maybe it is the added stress of a new job. Does he take it quite hard when you get a BFN maybe? Yeh like you say there is a lot of time to prepare once you get your BFP really hope this is your month xx

@lavenderlove it is but also kinda tough.. he said if it hasn't happened this month.. well it might of! Still no af yet and woke a million times in the night to pee! Also think I may have uti though which may present with symptoms from what I've read especially with my one kidney so I'm going to book a Dr appointment today to make sure that's ok may get him to do a cheeky test lol.. I'll keep all posted xx

@thethreeandme the fact that your cervix is high is good news, fx for you, hope you get what you want!! this will be my 5th cycle ttc, I know that compared to others it is nothing, but I find it really stressful and breaks my heart everytime af shows. As for SMEP, what @lavaderlove said. It's a very regimented program for sex 😁 designed to maximise ones chances of falling pregnant.
@lavanderlove I should start today and all, but this weather drains me. Haven't even told my other half what's to come 😶😶 good luck on your journey 🤞

@Akasia I only explained part of the SMEP plan to my husband, I thought if I explained it all he would run for the hills. So I'm hoping just to surprise him after I ovulate lol with dtd every day for a few days

I am seeing positive signs but I'm scared to test I can't bare seeing bfn now after all this. And I have a uti only mild but it's there so going to try and flush it out with loads of fluids before using the antibiotics.. bummer..

Well.. I felt crampy so checked cervix and it's low and open again.. so to get rid of the nerves because I'm sick of disappointment I did a test.. big fat bfn 😔 not going to lie I feel devastated but at least I know now I'd of been more upset if I'd of woken up tomorrow thinking I must be pregnant to find out no.. on to the next month I suppose xx

@Thethreeandme sorry you've got a uti, I bloody hate them things! And sorry about your BFN today, bless you was you due today or was it Sunday? X

@Akasia haha I know what you mean! I'm glad my first day was yesterday because I'm exhausted today. If It's anything like last month then I should get my positive OPK tomorrow or Wednesday. We've got such a busy week too so it's going to be hard

@lavenderlove well lol.. I thought I had a 28 day cycle but was 2 days late last month.. but.. I've only been charting for 3 cycles so I may have 30 day cycles which would mean I was due today. But I'm so confused because I had ewcm on 28th. It's all over the place this month. My cervix keeps moving high then low then open then closed. It's changed about 4 tines today!!!! I only have one kidney now so I'm prone to them get them often lol.. I'm just not going to bother testing again and if af isn't here by Friday ill book Dr for Monday xx

@Thethreeandme I think af likes to mess you around when TTC! That's strange, did you confirm ovulation with tests? I've read that your body can attempt to ovulate twice in a month if the first hormone surge doesn't quite make it happen. I never understand the cervix thing as my app would ask me if it was 'soft, medium or hard' and it would feel the same every time!! And oh no you poor thing! You need a fridge stocked with cranberry juice at all times haha

Haha thank you! Still no af today.. I took my last hpt and it was neg but I was sure I saw a very very faint line for a few minutes.. it's gone now though so possibly seeing things ha.. my body sure is having a good laugh out of this! Xx

@lavanderlove well I failed miserably - yesterday was cd 8 so should have started smep but fell asleep. Should I start from today instead or tomorrow? Not sure how it will affect me. I also had a big-ish temp dip yesterday so now I am worried that I have missed ovulation. Do you always get a positive opk so early in the cycle?
@thethreeandme I gave up on checking the cervix last month as mine was playing tricks on me and all. One day couldn't find it and oh the panick.. 😆 I know is difficult when you want something ao much, you can't help but find all kinds of symptoms. I really hope that bfn will become a bfp for you 💐

@Akasia last night I had to explain again what dtd every other night meant.....SMEP is going well

Hijacking what you said to someone else, we missed day 8 too and I just started from day 10 onwards when I started with the OPK's too

@Thethreeandme well you're not out until af shows! What tests are you using, are they sensitive ones like a frer? X

@Akasia haha never mind! I doubt you would ovulate so early unless you have a very short cycle? Could you do today and tomorrow just to make sure? I got mixed up actually, I got my first positive OPK on CD 12 last month so that would be on Thursday. Don't know where you are in the country but could your temp dip be down to the generally dip in the temperature? Or does it not work like that haha

@lavenderlove I'm at CD13 today, is it bad I'm looking forward to no sex tonight?! Haha, my poor husband, I basically had to jump him last night. How are you getting on? What day are you?

@sunshine1987 no it's not bad at all, I was the same last night! Haha. I'll need to jump mine tonight, it's annoying though because my DS has been sleeping in until later in the mornings with it being school hols so he's not falling asleep until gone 9pm! At which time I'm pretty much ready for bed myself haha. I'm CD 10 today so need to start with the OPK's! What CD do you normally get your positive OPK?

@lavenderlove nope it was 1.99 from bnm lol, I'm testing that much I'd bankrupt the family if I used frer or clear blue haha. I may need to upgrade for tomorrow though lol it's just so bizarre now I'm defo late regardless how long my cycle was . I'm going to fall out with my ovaries if I don't get a bfp this month!! Xx

@Thethreeandme definitely think you should treat yourself to a frer to do tomorrow morning if af doesn't arrive today!

@lavenderlove around day 15/16 though a few cycles ago I got a positive day 12 so I really don't know. Are you around the same? Natural cycles says I'm due to ovulate day 15 though so not sure at all this cycle. This is my first baby so I don't really know what I'm doing but been tracking for 6 months or so

@sunshine1987 I got my first positive OPK on CD12 last month but it was still positive on CD13. It was my first month using them so I'm not sure if everything will be the same this month. I have 3 apps and they are all predicting different days! I haven't got natural cycles though, would you recommend that one? And it's my first planned baby so I don't know what I'm doing either haha
