Anyone around 9 dpo?

Hi wondering if anyone is around 9dpo and wants to join me for the agonising wait? I'm trying to hold off from testing until at least 12dpo but it's so hard! I've never obsessed over something so much and I'm only on my 2nd cycle

interestingly I googled when to test and put in what I think my ovulation date was (taking static smiley as -1) it thinks that a urine test will pick up pregnancy from Friday.

@thethreeandme sorry for the BFN but it is early so may just be too soon for the test to pick it up.

I used a FRER this morning so less hopeful. If I had your average cycle so say a 14 day luteal phase my AF would be due at the weekend so still in the window that a FRER could pick it up.

I really dislike how this ttc is all about waiting. Like right now it's waiting for AF to show or possibly waiting to do another test.

Then once AF arrives, it's waiting for that to finish and for a little time to pass before starting OPKs where we are waiting for them to be positive.

Even if you get a BFP you have to wait to see how that develops.

It's just very frustrating, sorry rant over.

Af finally arrived here too. 2 days late mind. Just to give me 2 days extra of thinking maybe just maybe. It seems that's happened to a few people this month, it's cruel but I guess stress induced. On to next month! Best of luck to all with tests still to do! X

It does feel like a giant wait and I think we all feel your frustration.. it's just when you so desperately want something to get that horrid disappointment. I won't test again till weekend but yes you're right due Saturday.. my cm was as expected 10 days ago .. one day for us all this ttc malarcy will be a distant memory and hopefully we'll be cradling out bumps then a teeny beautiful baby xxx

@Thethreeandme don't think a standard test would be sensitive enough to pick a positive up so early so don't be disappointed yet.

@dreaminofholidays it's still early for you too and I've heard mixed reviews about FRER's picking it up as early as they say. Good luck for Friday if you decide to test then!
And I can't decide whether to follow SMEP or not. We attempted SMEP last month but I think my DH felt quite under pressure and he didn't stick to the plan which annoyed me - and me being in a mood

I'm so sorry AF has showed for so many of you! I always think about how safe sex was drilled into us from such a young age not just to protect against STI's but pregnancy too..turns out getting pregnant is super hard!

My period turned up eventually 9 days late, but has caused more confusion than anything. It arrived and it was red, then today was my official Day 1 and it's all brown and only there when I wipe. I've worn pads but they're all clean.

I know it's far too late for implantation as I ovulated over two weeks ago, so I'm just worried something is wrong now!

I'm sure tomorrow she'll come full flow and I'll feel better to have some answers!
I wasn't ill or stressed (I am now!) so can't think of a reason for late ovulation but our bodies are curious things and it could be for any reason! I just hope it's a good one, need a long hard sleep!

@lavenderlove sounds like SMEP definitely has it's downsides... I don't know what the best way forward is that causes the least stress.

Ladies can I ask, do any of you have issues with your kidneys. I had one of mine removed dec 16 due to cancer. I've asked my Dr and he said as long as I keep my fluids up it'll be ok with monitoring. My other worry is I have a 10 inch scar around me going from belly button to spine. I'm worried about the pain of it stretching etc.. any similar experience welcomed lol xx

@thethreeandme sorry I can't help with kidneys/scars. I bet there will be other chats if you have a quick Google?

@Thethreeandme I didn't have mine removed but did go to test to be a donor for a relative and at that time they advised as long as I waited for 12 months and all else was ok it shouldn't cause any issues although would require some extra monitoring. Appreciate that your situation is different but thought it might put your mind at rest a bit

@ttcat32 it does thank you. It's been well over 12 months for.me so fingers crossed. May be reassuring to be monitored closely anyway. @dreaminofholidays no lol I tested again yesterday but I'd collected fmu and tested it an hour and half later after doing the kids breakfast .. I didn't know this wasn't alloud. I'm defo leaving it now till maybe even Sunday xx

@thethreeandme does it have to be done straight away then?

I am now 12dpo, unless AF shows I am going to try my very hardest to wait until Saturday to test again xxx

@dreaminofholidays yea I read tjat after half an hour you shouldn't use thay urine.. I'm just not going to test again now. Fully expecting af the weekend though I've gone so moody .. very clear sign for me xx

Sorry to everyone who af arrived for she has finally left me so I'm just patiently waiting for ovulation now. Yeh we should make another thread @Thethreeandme has been nice going through the month together!

Mine is due today. Possibly tomorrow though as it was late last month but that may just be my cycle length.. so I'm just sat waiting lol xx

I am now on CD7 and decided to try SMEP this cycle, planning to start from tomorrow.
Anyone care to join me? (not literally 😶) It's been nice having the support from this thread during the tww.
Any tips on how to make SMEP work would be great by the way 😉

Hi @akasia yep I think I am. No af yet but she was cruely 2 days last last month. I feel really tired today with banging headache and usually when af is due I get upset tummy today I'm literally the opposite.. so much so ice had to have a movicol lol.. sorry tmi. My cervix has moved back up again which is slightly comforting so time will tell. I'm going to try my hardest to wait to test till Tuesday I can't face it saying bfn I really would.rather wicked witch just reading her ugly head! Can I ask what smep is.. I'm not used to all of these abbreviations haha. Also how long have you been trying? Xx
