Here's the new thread. This is a lovely supportive thread for anyone who has suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately known as the penguin huddle- this is the place to survive the ups and downs of this crazy journey.

Kicking off with a roll call:

@Gillead2029 the one thing I'm keeping an eye out for and will buy, pregnant or not, is a nice rainbow coloured blanket. Not seen one I like yet but if I see one, I will.

KnitKitty · 01/07/2018 22:54

Lovemysparkle and MrsLCW huge congratulations to you both!!! Incredible news and what a brilliant start to the new thread!

That is weird Laney79. Possibly cervix bleeding?

TedLife Sorry you're feeling like crap. I've got AF visiting too, so will join you this cycle. Holds hands Hope having a good cry helped. Hugs xxx

Secondtimelucky1980 I'm so sorry you've been through all of that! You're so incredibly strong and I can totally understand not wanting to go through it again. Hugs xxx

Hi patphelan, I hope AF turns up for your soon. I found I started to feel more able to heal once mine showed up after MC. xxx

Ells0204 and Lilimum4 good luck and hope the rest of your TTWs pass by quickly. Fingers crossed for some more BFPs for the group!

Boboelephant I really hope you get lucky this month (no pun intended). Fingers crossed for you!!!

Hugs for you as well Gillead2029 I hope everything becomes clearer one way or another. Hoping for a little miracle for you xxx

SunshineSparklesSmiles I'm sorry for your loss but I'm pleased for you that you feel ready to try again. Best of luck to you xxx

PurpleFushia I don't use OPKs either because I'm sure I'd get overly obsessed and stressed about it, but I know for a lot of women it's a good way to feel in control and takes the stress away since it's easier to pinpoint when ovulation is happening. I think it's probably just different for everyone so do what's best for you.

CobaltRose Congratulations again. Best of luck for a healthy pregnancy. xxx

Spooles Hi there, welcome to the huddle.

HidCat and Gillead2029 I know you probably know this already, but just wanted to say it so you hear it again and it might help, you didn't jinx yourselves by buy things early. Plenty of women buy things early on and don't lose their little beans; and I didn't buy anything and lost mine too anyway. You're not jinxed. xxx

HidCat How's your TTW going since the pink CM? Very excited about you testing soon. xxx

AF is being weird for me. Had some light, reddy pink bleeding yesterday and just a very small amount of brown today. I'm pretty sure this happened last cycle too, and then I had two heavy days of bleeding, so maybe this is my new normal? My periods used to just arrive in full force straight away.
Had a massive blip last night and this morning but starting to feel better again now.

Lilimum4 · 01/07/2018 23:03

@KnitKitty hugs hun sorry you had a wobble. I know that feeling all to well. Hope your feeling more positive soon xx

Lovemysparkle · 02/07/2018 05:57

Thank you all so much for your lovely encouraging words❤️ To be honest we’re still in shock 🙈 I know it only takes one sperm blaaa blaaa blaaa (we’ve all heard that before!!) but was & still is “well how did that happen” cue head scratch!! Me & dh have always had a very strong appetite for dtd (sorry tmi) & we have always tried to make it about us rather than ttc (although it’s always in back of your mind!!) and because of of wedding day and being completely knackered working & preparing for our special day we only had a cheeky 3 times!! We always dtd once af has sodded off we then had our cheeky shower quickly & then supposedly the day before af was due. I know we wasn’t using protection & I don’t temp or do opks so “in theory” a bfp could happen but we haven’t had a sniff of a bfp since my last mc early July last year! So hence still being in shock!! We like to think our little bub wanted to be at our wedding & made sure they were a part of me, dh & ds❤️ I’m a great believer in fate (although questioned mine over the last 2 years!!) & I’m just trying to quietly enjoy these early stages.
@zarala defo sounds like we are on the same cocktail!! I started mine just after my bfp as had to call & get appointment with professor. I am seeing professor manyonda he is very calming & I have heard very good things about him (a close friend of mine has worked with him) he is 90% private but he does his nhs bit so thank god for that!! Also girls as well as rattling & being on a cocktail of stuff me & dh CANNOT DTD 😢😢😢😢 strict instructions from professor!!! Nothing is to be disturbed or any risk of bacteria (sperm basically!!) no cardio exercise, no lifting, lots of light walking & back rubs for me!!
I have never joined any other thread & I know @cakeular has her cake thread but I would really love to stick around with you gals as long as I didn’t upset/offend anyone ❤️

strawberrye · 02/07/2018 06:10

Not feeling good this morning. BFN on a FRER at 11dpo and my temp has dropped this morning, not at coverline yet but not a good sign when AF is due tomorrow/Wednesday. I really thought this was our month SadSad

HidCat · 02/07/2018 06:43

@KnitKitty I hope your period sorts itself out. Mine was the same last month, came in full force 5 days after the spotting started. Hope you're doing ok, this takes it out of us all.

@Lovemysparkle I don't mind you hanging around for a bit. 🤞 you'll feel able to join the pregnancy threads once a little further along and some of us can come with you. Xxx

@strawberrye I'm sorry it's not looking good at the moment, but you're not out til AF shows. Try to stay a little optimistic hun.

I had a streak of blood in cervical mucus on Friday which backs up the potential implantation bleed but I've had spotting at weird times in my last two cycles so possibly completely unrelated. CD 28 now, 10dpo so trying to hold out until at leat Wednesday before testing with a FRER (meg on a One Step 10miu strip yesterday). PMS hasn't started yet and it started around CD 27 on my last 2 cycles so that's a bonus!

KnitKitty · 02/07/2018 07:28

Thanks Hidcat. Have woken to cramps and heavier bleeding this morning so I think this must just be how my body is with periods now! I'm glad the bleeding has started properly though because I was starting to get my hopes up/worry it was a failing pregnancy again: when I was pregnant I had the small amount of bleeding followed by brown spotting but it continued the same all week so thought I'd had a weird period and only found out I was pregnant on CD39. I can properly look forward to this cycle now.

I've worked out we need to DTD on the 13th, 15th and 17th this month to be in with the best chance, so just hoping OH will feel persuasive.

Lilimum4 · 02/07/2018 09:06

@KnitKitty morning. You sound better and focused. I hope this next cycle is your cycle.

I'm 7dpo and rapidly going nuts. I just keep thinking if its my month today is the day the little bean will settle in and I'm waiting for any sign of implantation ( see what I mean about going nuts ). Honestly I really don't know why I do this to myself. So today is my day off work and I'm gonna crochet my baby blanket in the garden. In a very weird way I'd like to think the blanket will one day be used by my baby but like the last one it didn't so I donated it to the hospital for the abandoned babies support team. At least a baby will use it.

Hope you have a relaxed day xx

weasledee · 02/07/2018 09:46

Sorry for the bfn's over the weekend and today..... :(
Sparkle congratulations! Great news!

No update here, now 6DPO going to test on Saturday so the countdown begins Smile

dreaminofholidays · 02/07/2018 10:42

@strawberrye I am in exactly the same boat. BFN on FRER at 11 dpo. AF due Wednesday so will see if she appears. Very disheartening but we are not out just yet.
I feel I have alot to learn about my cycles x

TedLife · 02/07/2018 12:01

Thanks for the nice messages ladies @Hidcat, @Jessabean, @Boboelephant. I am really struggling with this, foolishly thought we got pregnant easily last time (and by accident) that it would happen again for us quickly. I do feel a bit like i'm drowning in sadness. Heard from a friend that she's pregnant over the weekend too which didn't help. Just feels like everyone else gets to move forward with their lives and we are just left behind waiting to join them. Sorry to be so down, I just never thought it would be like this.

@Knitkitty nice to know someone else is at a similar stage - I always feel like i'm a week or two behind everyone else in this thread! What CD are you? I'm CD4 now.

Jessabean · 02/07/2018 12:49

@TedLife don't feel bad about feeling down. I can relate to how you're feeling I fell straight away pretty much with my last two pregnancies/miscarriages and had expected to this time too but realising these things are just beyond our control to some extent. It is so heartbreaking seeing everyone else manage a healthy pregnancy so easily though. I had quite a bad weekend too -had to deal with lots of pregnant patients at work plus another (is like everyone now I swear) member of staff had announced their pregnancy, another colleagues partner just had a baby so it was all babies babies babies & then had another unexpected baby bomb announcement on FB. It is so hard being reminded of it constantly. If you are struggling with the endless feelings of sadness though I would suggest thinking about counseling. I've set some up as was really struggling the end of last month, think things had been teetering on depression tbh and do think it's helpful. A lot of people here seem to rate headspace too. I just wish there was something to do about all this crap physically but unfortunately seems to be a case of riding the waves as best we can. We'll get there though!

I'm CD1 today. Knew AF was coming though as my DH was away this month so would have been a miracle baby indeed if I was pregnant! DH is back cycle day 8 ish so just in time for trying SMEP out! 😊
@KnitKitty glad you're AF has arrived too so you know where you're at at least. We'll be TTC triplets! 🤞for us!
Hopefully this is our month!

Cakelaur · 02/07/2018 14:54

@Lovemysparkle massive congrats babe. When you feel ready, come join us. I stay in both because I can't bear to leave this group yet!

More cake for more babies... BFP after MCwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/3270588-more-cake-for-more-babies-bfp-after-mc

How's everyone getting on?

Sorry for the recent bfns. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for some bfps soon!!

TedLife · 02/07/2018 15:08

Thanks for the kind message @Jessabean. I started Headspace but there's building work going on in my house at the moment so it just wasn't happening. I may try going back to it though, I probably could do with a bit of help after my reaction to this recent set back.

Think we're going to give SMEP a go too. Last month we dtd every day for 5 days but I think we stopped just a day or two too early so I think every other day should be fine and maybe more manageable. CD8 is Friday so looking forward.

New cycle: new start!

Boboelephant · 02/07/2018 15:34

@weasledee good luck for Saturday!
@HidCat everything crossed for you for Wednesday!
@strawberrye and @Dreaminofholidays so sorry for bfns. 🐧
@Spooples welcome and sorry for your loss.
@Lovemysparkle of course you should stick around. That sux about no DTD! For how long?? It will totally be worth it but hope you get to enjoy some newlywed action soon!
@KnitKitty fx this is your month too!

I'm impatient to see my temp tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for a big jump so I can join you all in the tww. Will be so happy to swap grapefruit juice for pineapple!! Really hope this month is it as I hope to never taste grapefruit again!! 🤢

Boboelephant · 02/07/2018 15:35

Oh and @Lilimum4 that is a lovely idea with the blanket!

OP posts:
Lilimum4 · 02/07/2018 16:43

@Boboelephant will it have bad effects if you keep eating pineapple after the 5 days. Its my favorite fruit and I'm rather enjoying it

Lovemysparkle · 02/07/2018 16:44

Thank you @boboelephant like I said I’ve been lurking on this thread for over a year & obviously been “a member” for quite some time now so I would love to see this journey through ❤️ I will take a leaf out of @cakulars book & keep on popping in & read the thread every day😘
It really sux not being able to dtd & have newly wed fun & from what I can gather I won’t be able to get any giggy giggy till after I have this bub😩 but “EYES ON THE PRIZE” is our main priority!! Also I have added medical issues as 2 years after I had ds I had cancerous cells on my cervix & had to have them cut away it’s called the lletz procedure & I’ve had the maximum cut away 10mm so from 16 weeks I have to be scanned every 2 weeks up to 22 weeks & if there is any change in my cervix I make have to have surgery & have a stitch put in (similar to incompetent cervix) so I defo think hanky pankey is off the menu🙈
Unfortunately I can’t do anything straight forward & I also have medical issues from having ds but that’s another story for another day!!! Sending lots of positive baby dust vibes to you all & remember keep your eyes on the prize ❤️❤️❤️

Funkyemzie · 02/07/2018 17:04

No idea what's happening this month, the last time I got to 14dpo I was pregnant but BFN of frer's. Can anyone see another possible ovulation point?

@lilimum4 I crochet too what a brilliant idea! When we have finally finished with decorating and unpacking boxes I m8ght do one too!

@Lovemysparkle that is really tough going lovely, I really hope things turn out for you!

@Boboelephant I'm with you on the grapefruit juice, it's just awful!

@Hidcat I don't know how u have the willpower to wait, huge fingers crossed for you sweet.

TTC after pregnancy loss- thread 23 🐧🐧
Lilimum4 · 02/07/2018 17:08

@Funkyemzie it also has to benefit of taking your ming off of the tww and symptom spotting lol

Funkyemzie · 02/07/2018 17:10

Yeah that's a great idea!!! Love that!

Lilimum4 · 02/07/2018 17:13

@Funkyemzie wow I looked at your chart can't see another, but then I've only started temping myself this month but I'm amazed I thought I o'd early at cd11 you don't even get one day to relax lol

Bobzybaby · 02/07/2018 17:18

Hey everyone! Newbie to this post (sooo needed for me!). I also don't quite understand all the abbreviations yet so bear with me!

I'm 35
TTC #1
Have had 3 miscarriages and 1 ectopic
Took a break and got biopsies done at Warwick & Coventry Hospital. Started Cyclogest last cycle but negative test. Due to start my second round this week!! Ovulating at the mo! I'll need steroids when I conceive.

I'm fairly new to MN but already feeling less alone on this journey!

Funkyemzie · 02/07/2018 17:26

@lilimum4 I know, the only other day I think is a might is 6dpo but stopped using OPK's so not sure. The dtd isn't really too much of an issue but I wasn't expecting so early so couldn't make anymore of an effort around that time.

@bobzybaby you are more than welcome on this thread, I'm not overly active on here but reading everyone's stories you realise that we have all been through some horrific times. My love to you sweet, you're in the right place!

HidCat · 02/07/2018 17:57

@Lovemysparkle you've really been through the mill! You are so strong and I'm so pleased you're finally pregnant again.

@Funkyemzie I don't know if I am strong enough lol. The urge to POAS is strong today and compounded by the act that there's a blood drive near me and they've just text to say spaces are available as they're short on donors.

@Bobzybaby welcome and so sorry for all your losses. Praying that there's light at the end of the tunnel and it's not too far away.
