What happens at the 12 week scan? When do you get the results of the nuchal? I'm very nervous, mine is tomoz!

@Peachesarenom I was told the nuchal measurement today during the scan, mine is 1.7mm which she said was normal range, but also they take blood if you consent to it, and apparently you'll get a phonecall if it's not good news, but if all is ok then you get a letter in the post within about a week.

@peachesarenom good luck tomorrow babe. They litterally scan you. Prob for about 15 mins. (Although bub was sleeping for me and she had to keep prodding and I had to keep jumping around) finally it woke up and wriggled and danced and waved and she was able to measure the fluid on the spine. Then they took blood and now I have to wait 10 days or so for results

I got sent to the loo half way through the scan as bubba was sitting bolt upright so it was difficult to measure, lol, came back in and he/she was lying down again 😂

I'm a bit upset as DH has just told me he said he'd stay at work a little longer 'to stay out of trouble' but should be able to make it?!? I mean it could be bad news and now I'll have to go it alone! He's been super busy as we've just moved house but I am so angry with him now!

Oh @peachesarenom I'm so sorry. My other half broke down in the middle of nowhere today and I had a mad dash to get him just to make sure he made it. Boys do like to cause stress!! I'm sure you'll be perfect tomorrow. But defo know the need for OH to be there. Hopefully he makes it for you.

Hey ladies. Joining you from the TTC board. Already have one DS3 but had a mmc on valentines days. Ended up having EPRC at end of Feb and got my BFP last Thursday. Due date beginning of Feb. Feeling nervous, anxious and excited all at the same time.

@cakelaur mines the 19th. We didn’t find out the sex for my little girl. I had it in my head that I wanted hubby to announce the sex rather than a sonographer that I don’t know. Although I did have a strong feeling I was having a girl so wasn’t a huge surprise.

I remember my 12 week scan like it was yesterday I was shitting myself, shaking like a leaf. The sonographer (a man) told me everything was fine- I cried (had 2 losses before her) he allowed me time to cry and sort myself out then continued. Showed me the screen and she was bouncing around like mad- so strange seeing it but not being able to feel. He really struggled to do measurements as she was bonkers- 18 months and still won’t sit still. I’m made up for you all who have seen and had reassurance that lo are okay. Such a worrying time.

@Athers666 continuing from last thread, I thought maybe you’d had that harmony scan or something where they can tell you what sex it is as early as 10 weeks. I’d love to do that but couldn’t afford it. Gorgeous scan too.

Yay. Welcome @maxiflump1 it defo is a horrible wait until 12 weeks. I've had a 6,8,10 and 12week scan!! Haha! Now I feel calmer and more relaxed. I've also got a Doppler!! Talk about paranoid!! Haha!!

Hi everyone, can I join in? Had my bfp on Sunday after a mc at 15 weeks in January. Congratulations to all the lovely scan pictures! I have just booked a scan for 8 weeks as I don't think I can hold out until 12!!
