Here's the new thread. This is a lovely supportive thread for anyone who has suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately known as the penguin huddle- this is the place to survive the ups and downs of this crazy journey.

Kicking off with a roll call:

Miscarriage Oct 17 at 6.5 weeks
Mmc May 18 7.5 weeks
Husband away until 30 July so not ttc this month.

Boboelephant · 01/07/2018 08:11

@charlyn so sorry to hear about your ectopic. I had one too and it was terrifying. Have the docs given you the all clear to try again after one af? If so that is good news. I had to wait 3 months which felt like an age!

HidCat · 01/07/2018 08:22

@MrsLCW congratulations! That's fab! I can't believe both you and @Lovemysparkle had basically written off a cycle only to get bfp!

Boboelephant · 01/07/2018 08:23

Oh @MrsLCW congratulations hun!!! What lovely news ❤❤ so happy for you!! My due date is next week, I hope I get my little miracle too.

Hi everyone, joining for the first time.

Age: 35
TTC: no 2
Over the past year, had chemical pregnancy, missed miscarriage and a loss.

First cycle since loss and have no idea where I am in my cycle!

MrsLCW · 01/07/2018 08:26

Thanks @HidCat I know, we only managed to DTD twice in June with hubby being away then having AF when he was home 😂 he even joked and asked who the Dad is 😂😂
@Boboelephant I've absolutely EVERYTHING crossed for you lovely!!!
Xxx

TinyPaws · 01/07/2018 08:28

@MrsLCW Oooh, congrats!

sweetpea0318 · 01/07/2018 08:28

Thanks @robin78 and @boboelephant. Reassuring to hear other's experiences. Keeping fingers crossed that it's just going to be a late one this month. Can't help but feel down about it though. I've done my first headspace this morning though so trying to claw back some semblance of calm and positivity.

@MrsLCW congratulations! Lovely news. New house new baby as my mum always says to me! Xx

robin78 · 01/07/2018 08:29

@mrslcw wow! Great news!! July is getting off to great start on the thread.

dreaminofholidays · 01/07/2018 08:31

Huge congratulations to @lovemysparkle and @mrslwc. Lovely news.

I did a FRER this morning at 11dpo & got a BFN. I think AF will arrive this week. xx

MrsLCW · 01/07/2018 08:33

@sweetpea0318 if I had £1 for every time I'd heard that phrase this past few weeks 😂😂 gonna have to hide my smirk from now on when people say it 😂

Gillead2029 · 01/07/2018 08:38

Am I too late for the roll call?

I'm 26, have had one miscarriage 4 and a bit weeks ago (at 11 weeks) and now I'm waiting to find out why my tests are suddenly positive 😫

TedLife · 01/07/2018 08:50

TedLife
32, TTC #1
MMC at 8 weeks after heartbeat on scan. Not discovered until 11weeks in May 2018
On cd3, 2nd cycle post MC
TTC since Feb 2018

AF is here and I can't stop crying.

YellowDaffodils86 · 01/07/2018 08:53

@MrsLCW haha that phrase was said alot to me too, a couple of years ago, when we bought our house! But for you its so true!! Congratulations, hope its a sticky healthy bean.

@Lovemysparkle wow congratulations, so nice to read. Congratulations on your wedding too. I agree, @littleemma1 is goes so fast, try to take time to soak it it.
So you were not going to ttc before wedding, but obviously dtd, did you do that in what you thought was outside fw?
Its fuuny how it happens when you dont try!

sweetpea0318 · 01/07/2018 08:55

@MrsLCW hahaha! 😂

Mistymeow · 01/07/2018 09:45

I missed the last thread as I was on holiday. Congrats to those with your bfps. Sorry to those who have recently joined. Sending lots of hugs.

34 ttc #1
MMC April (9 weeks)
Ttc since 2016 (DH starting fertility treatment this month)
3rd cycle since mmc

I think I had a second anovulatory cycle (no thermal shift and late af). Will see what happens this cycle but will go to the doctors if things are still not right.

HidCat · 01/07/2018 10:26

@dreaminofholidays it's still early days yet. I'd normally say try to stay positive but apparently writing off your cycle is the way to go lol

@Gillead2029 so sorry for your loss but 🤞for a new pregnancy.

@TedLife I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling. I hope you have plenty of support at home.

@Mistymeow welcome back. I hope you get some answers soon and that your rainbow is right around the corner.

Jessabean · 01/07/2018 10:41

Congrats @MrsLCW 🎉
That's such good news!

It is so weird the whole BFP when not really trying for a cycle. Not sure if it's just being more relaxed as you set yourself for it not happening. 🤷‍♀️
Is so hard to do it that way if you can full on try for a cycle though once you've had a loss and jumped on the TTC obsessive bandwagon- think I've got a front seat on it and in for the the ride now! 🙈

Jessabean · 01/07/2018 10:42

Also forgot to say @TedLife I'm sorry 🐧 We've all been there & know how shit it is....into the huddle for you 🐧 🐧

Secondtimelucky1980 · 01/07/2018 10:54

Hi all. Can I join please??

TTC # 2
7 miscarriages in total (ranging from 5-12 weeks) - 6 before our son and another in Dec
AF due on Tuesday

My partner is desperate for number 2 but I can’t face any more losses. So if we aren’t pregnant this month I think it will be the end of the road for us. The thought of being pregnant again scares me as I think it’s inevitable we’d lose it. We have an amazing consultant who helped us have our son and he couldn’t find anything wrong with us but the thought of just keeping trying and having miscarriage after miscarriage in the hope one will stick is just too much for me.

Sorry to be such a downer!! V sorry for all of your losses. It seems like a lovely thread.

Who is close to testing??? Xx

patphelan · 01/07/2018 11:00

I think this thread will help me

I'm 29
Dds 9&5
Ttc#3
Miscarriage about 4 weeks ago when I was 11 weeks, heartbroken but looking forward.

No sign of af yet, I have been very emotional, grumpy, crampy and sick although the heat is probably a contributing factor.

I'm going to sound thick but I'm really uneducated in conception - how can you track when you're ovulating? I use an app to track my periods and it tells me what days are best but I havent had a period since March due to pregnancy and loss so I'm not sure if they will go back to normal dates (I would usually be due on around now give or take a couple of days either side) or start a new sort of cycle?

Ells0204 · 01/07/2018 12:37

Oh wow congratulations @lovemysparkle and @MrsLCW! I love reading happy stories as it keeps me feeling positive wooop.

Currently in the 6dpo limbo stage. Too early to feel anything...was crampy last night but honestly think that’s because I ate too much 😂
