Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

We're doing it this month. CD11 today. We started CD6 only by coincidence so keeping up with EOD liking it so far. Last month we'd done 4 in a row around peak fertility but it didn't work sadly.

I got my CB dual opks on Dr Fertility website. I've loads left from last cycle. They're only used with fmu so I'm also using IC opks for evening testing.

Hi @Firsttimer16 me and DH have just done our first smep cycle and am now in the tww.

It was fun, a little tiring and does seem to offer the best chances to catch that egg. Me and DH are both quite glad of a wee rest now though! Good luck to you!

@Firsttimer16 Hi! we're doing SMEP this month. Same as @Angelmiracle we happened to start on CD6, on CD9 today so just starting really.
Have never used OPKs before, so I got the clear blue advanced digital ones to use each morning.

We'll be giving it a go! I'm CD7 today and will be using IC OPKs and I also have an Ava bracelet that predicts my fertile window.

Oh great - fingers crossed for all of us. I am cd6 today so maybe I’ll start today just to copy!!

Me too 🙋🏻‍♀️ CD6 today. We’ve coined this month the shaggathon. DH was asking why we’ve not been at it already- I said he wasn’t allowed to peak too early! No point getting tired 3 weeks in just when crunch time comes! I spent 6 months trying to convince him to ttc.... it was his idea to try every day this month ❤️ But SMEP seems more achievable!

Hi! We're doing SMEP this month too - we started on CD8 & are currently in the TWW ☺️ I used OPKs this month for the first time, & also started charting my BBT, and everything tied in to the same ovulation date so FX that we caught it!

I've been doing SMEP for the past four months.. gonna start CD6 this month though because I ovulate on CD12, fingers crossed plenty of you get a bfp!

@holdontohope what dpo are you? I'm 2dpo - we can keep each other company!

@WaitingforDaffodils I'm 4 DPO so pretty much the same as you! I'm driving myself crazy already, haha! How brilliant would it be if we both got our BFP at the same time?! FX for you!!

@Holdontohope - same! I've had a very distracting week and am off on holiday next week but I've 10dpo (when I'm going to start testing) flashing like a neon sign. Also, have discovered I'm the symptom spotting nutcase queen! FX for you too for a BFP! x

Yep us too. Will start on day 8 although last month I didn't ovulate until day 20 and all that BD nearly killed me... wouldn't ever do it so often usually!

@WaitingforDaffodils I'm also symptom spotting constantly, it's crazy how little niggles that you usually think nothing of become something you obsess over! I'm going to try to hold out until AF is due, but I know that I'll be climbing the walls wanting to POA this time next week! 🙈

@holdontohope I will be so impressed if you can wait until AF is due - I can pretty much confirm I’ll be testing from 6dpo...I stashed up on IC and have about 4 frer in stock too! 🤦‍♀️
From next month onwards I’ll have to calm down - can’t afford this every month!!

I'm always saying I'll wait until AF is due. Never managed it yet! The earliest I've had a BFP is 10DPO so I usually start testing then. Feels like miles off at the moment.

We used this plan, and I got my BFP yesterday! So it can work Good luck and baby dust to all x
