Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

@dee7409 Hi - I started bleeding so on to next cycle now. Have you tested yet? You must be near the end of TWW?

@wheezing CD12 for me..no testing for ov at all just smep plan without the three days..just going to BD every other day until AF turns up again...i am relaxing this month!

I'm having such a weird cycle after last month's chemical that even with all my tracking I'm not sure if and when I've ovulated! On top of that, we've both been away a lot so our SMEP attempts have been very hit and miss.

Our second cycle of SMEP (5th total) and 10dpo..

@BeeKeeping Eeek I know!! Thank you! I was so surprised - it's stronger at 10dpo than any of my lines when I had my chemical so I'm optimistic!
Aww that is fab, yeah will be due 21st April according to last period date.
I am so glad I didn't get disheartened when it didn't work for the first cycle, so happy we persevered into the second one.

Hi all, stupid question but did you all start at 8 days and carry on right through? I know I don't ovulate until day 16/17 so thinking I might start day 10 instead of 8, but worried that's not following the plan so will weaken my chances. I think I'm overthinking this whole TTC but want to give myself the best shot this cycle

@sunshine1987 I didn’t ovulate until cd24 last month but I’m still starting at cd8!

@Chanel05 you have more stamina than me lol

@sunshine1987 I think (someone may correct me) sperm can live for 7 days, so if you start CD8 the sperm won't survive til ovulation on day 16/17 so I personally think you'll be safe starting CD10, as that means the sperm could still be alive if you ovulate day 16 or 17.

@sunshine1987 definitely not stamina 😂. My ovulation went a bit crazy last month so I didn’t want to take any chances!

Ive just come across the SMEP today and I’m going to give it a go this month. Currently on CD7 so planning on saving the BD for tomorrow. Last month I didn’t get a positive OPK but I don’t think I’m doing it right. I currently use those cheapies.
Any suggestions for how often you use OPKs and what day to start in your cycle?

I will be starting second attempt at smep next week. Like a previous poster, I tend to ovulate on day 17 so also not sure if the pattern is exactly right for me, but will keep trying.

My AF was due tomorrow and I got a really strong line this morning, way way stronger than my chemical two cycles ago. So I'm feeling good about it. Will feel better after tomorrow when AF doesn't show up!

I went for second early reassurance scan today having had a previous ectopic and a chemical...my first scan last week they couldn't see anything, but today I nearly cried at seeing a little fluttering heartbeat at 6 weeks and 1 day!!! Had a bit of a scare last week with pain and bleeding, but everything so far now seems a-ok and I'm trying to relax a little.

Keep on at SMEP ladies....there's some lovely success stories out there ☺️

We're looking at booking a babybond early scan but I'm thinking around 8 weeks to split the time between finding out and the 12 week scan. And also because I'm a little scared of the idea of an internal scan (although I'm very aware I'll be going through worse over the next 8 month's!!)
