Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

@bas27 static smiley means peak fertility and flashing means high. I used the clear blue digital last month and had 5 flashing smileys before the static one (but no luck TTC!). Going to use them this month with SMEP (start testing tomorrow CD 10). They are expensive but easy to read so hopefully worth it (and fingers crossed won’t be needed for many more months....)!

@becca444 I tested once a day first thing in the morning- I didn't have any flashing smiley just went straight from empty circles to a static smiley! 🤨 but we dtd last night anyway on our SMEP schedule so 🤞🤞

Hello ladies I am cd10 and have decided to try SMEP for the first time along side Grapefruit Juice..has anyone tried this combination

@dee7409 I've not tried grapefruit juice when TTC but heard it's good for CM. Is that you're you're trying it for?

@dee7409 yes, we did grapefruit juice this month (didn't notice any change in CM but a) I'm not that good at tracking it and b) used preseed so wouldn't necessary anyway). And now in tww am having pineapple core to help with implantation...no idea of any of this works but figure throw everything at the wall and see what sticks!

@dee7409 @noseringgirl I did grapefruit juice this month too, but like @waitingfordaffodils I don't really track it, so I'm hoping it helped but can't confirm for sure.
This month, we've done grapefruit juice, conceive plus lube, SMEP, clear blue digital OPKs and legs in the against the wall after DTD 🤞🤞
I'm a bit more desperate now after the chemical last month - I was so happy to be pregnant and now just want that again as soon as possible.

@waitingfordaffodils how is the TWW going? When are you testing? 🤞 for you x

@TheMagicTorch can I ask did you use the lube internally? We've just been using preseed as a lube.

Finally DH was up for a sesh so currently legs in the air 😂🙈

I thought we missed couple dtd sessions following smep but it was just cd14 and today is cd15. Opks still light but are slightly darker than yesterday. Should ovulate in 2/3 days 🤞 x

@noseringgirl @waitingfordaffodils I can't tell if it makes a difference as everything is the same. hubby is away for 5 days..hoping i ov on his return..i am also on folic, b6, b complex and evening primrose...will they work? i have no clue...just trying everything at the moment...
@noseringgirl yes as i have never noticed EWCM so hoping i get some this month..

I'm testing next Sunday (doing it from holiday by Skype with dh!) largely so I can have a drink and maybe do some more adventurous stuff. Boobs feel giant and sore though and I've got pimples - which I never have except during period - so that's got my hopes up!

Are you in tww wait now? I'm wishing for a bfp for you - FX!

Wahey - high fertility this month on CD11 - last month it didn't arrive until CD17.

We BD on CD8 and CD10 so as per SMEP so hopefully if we can keep going we will be in with a shot this month!

Hope everyone is managing to stick to schedule! I was wondering what your plans are after positive OPK - you do it 3 days, miss a day and one more. Then are you stopping for the month? Or going back to every other day?

We just go back to whenever we feel like it after ovulation. Usually depends on how tired we are but is probably about every other day.

Just starting the TWW I suppose - My test day will be the Sunday after yours. So we've got tonight, tomorrow night, night off then one more night DTD. I feel like that will make the TWW go a bit quicker 😂

Me please! CD2 today, problem is dp is going away right over ovulation day this month, so just going to BD as and when we can!

I've decided to go no booze this month and see if that helps!

@randomuntrainedcuntowner that's interesting, I've really cut down this month, and planning on not drinking at all during the TWW. What point of your cycle are you at, if you don't mind me asking.

I've been not drinking apart from when I'm on my period. Gone slightly off piste with the bd as well.
Bd: cd8 cd11 (only 1 hour after midnight!) cd12 cd13. Don't think I've ovulated yet I think I have long cycles and we missed it last month! Will be resuming tomorrow at cd15. Now got digital opk so that should help!

That’s good all of you cutting down on booze. I am desperately trying - during the week anyway. But on the weekend I swing between trying realy hard but then getting sad it’s taking longer than expected to get bfp and thinking I don’t want to pause the whole of life waiting for it and decide to carry on having fun! Then spend Monday feeling so guilty about how I should be doing anything to stay healthier....and repeat the cycle!
Not due to ovulate until Sunday according to apps so hoping to get positive OPK fri or sat...
It’s nice to have a place to write down this pointless information so as not to bore DH with it all! 😂

On another note - I had some random v small amount of spotting today. OPKs have all been negative so don’t think it’s ovulation - does anyone know if there’s another reason it could be?

@Firsttimer16 sometimes hormone shifts/imbalances can cause a bit of mid cycle spotting or your cervix can get irritated by sex and you get a bit of bleeding. Worth getting checked out if it happens often though!

CD12 for me today and very negative OPKs. Looks like it'll be a late ovulation for me as they usually start to show a line by now. Hopefully not an anovulatory cycle!

@NoseringGirl I'm hoping same as you. I'm cd15 ic opks only ever so slightly darker compared to yesterday and empty circle on CB 😕 Ov cd18 last month I hope it's no later this month!

CD11 and negative opks...i dont know when i ovu per say, but app predicted the 6th..hope that is the case as hubby away until friday :( messing up my SMEP plan!
