@PollyIndia I think supplements can have value. Especially support supplements like CoQ10, vitamin D (many of us are low), and omega-3 (DHA/EPA). A healthcare professional with experience in recommending supplements can help clear up the confusion.

weasledee · 27/06/2018 20:39

Hey @CritterTamer was just thinking about you, how's it going? Smile

CritterTamer · 27/06/2018 20:57

Thanks @Weasledee - that’s kind of you 😊 I’m struggling through the TWW and going slowly crazy. Alternating between bouts of despair when i’m certain it hasnt worked, and bouts of excitement every time I feel a new ‘symptom’!

The good news is that AF will officially be two days late by tomorrow morning and that’s 2 days further than I’ve ever gotten before 😊 I know it’s probably just the progesterone pessaries holding her off but it does feel like a milestones - 2 days ago I was absolutely sure she was on her way but so far so good. There have been some positive signs - lots of twinging and pulling uterus pains over the past 6 days on and off, and yesterday 6 sharp pains in the same spot that felt like I was being stabbed with a knitting needle, plus one wipe of brown CM. Boobs are sore most of the time too, but again I’m on lots of progesterone so that’s to be expected.

I think this TWW is the worst so far purely because the hopes were so much higher to begin with, and the financial pressure resting on it is also on my mind. Anyway, sorry to bore you all - been keeping away from the thread a bit to try to make sure I didn’t drive you all mad with my symptom spotting LOL.
It’s good to see everyone seems to be feeling more positive and lots of ovulating is going on - fingers crossed for summer baby dust for all of us! 🤞

weasledee · 27/06/2018 21:09

Ooooo exciting, so far so good!
When's testing day? Smile

CritterTamer · 27/06/2018 21:18

OTD isn’t until next Wednesday!

Dickybow321 · 27/06/2018 21:38

I have everything crossed for you critter 😘

weasledee · 27/06/2018 21:39

Do u think you can last that long? Grin

PollyIndia · 27/06/2018 21:40

ckc45 I already take those and I think they are fine to take. It was more stuff like inositol, which I had self-diagnosed for high LH, then as a PP mentioned, vitex and royal jelly. And sure, it would be great to get advice from a medical professional, but my GP has said now the bloods have come back normal, that there is nothing they can do (and besides, she had no advice anyway), and I can't really afford to go private right now.
Good luck Critter. Keeping everything crossed for you.

CritterTamer · 27/06/2018 21:47

@Weasledee I really cant see AF staying away that long but if she hasn’t shown up at the weekend then I might test - mainly because I won’t be able to face going in to work straight after a BFN so would rather get it over with at the weekend.

weasledee · 27/06/2018 21:58

Yes good plan critter

Hobbes39 · 27/06/2018 22:20

That's a good sign @CritterTamer - I had a shortish luteal phase before starting IVF as would always start spotting for the start of my period by 10dpo at latest. When I had fresh IVF transfers with progesterone support (but nothing else) my period came by 10 days post egg collection (so equivalent to 10dpo) both times it wasn't successful (although one was a chemical) the time it didn't come was when I got a BFP - so 🤞. One thing to look out for that IS a def symptom of success is if you get any OHSS symptoms kicking in soon rather than them tailing off. I have my fingers crossed for you - it's a long process but hopefully you'll get past this first hurdle! X

Welcome Lapsed.
Orchid. . Thanks. .i like being a spring chicken. .just wish i felt that young! ! This week early AF is particularly heavy and i'm really weepy and grouchy. The news is awful the last couple of days with that missing boy in the lake and the poor girl losing her fight with a brain tumour. I just and cried. Sad
Both DH and DH are on the receiving end of this bad mood swing.
Anyway yes Cleo i remember now i had this a few years back and it is stress related. No chance stress being lifted just yet though. How on earth can we try to stay relaxed when our bodies are screaming out at us to ttc every chance we get!!
nor77..thanks for the explanation of Patau syndrome. I like your religion's belief ..it's a comforting way to help you cope with the loss.

BooseysMom · 27/06/2018 22:42

Meant to say DH and DS not DH and DH!!

Good luck Critter. My sis-in-law is expecting her 1st after suffering unexplained infertility for 5 years and she's only 35. IVF worked for them. Just shows it isn't always age that causes it. Keeping everything crossed xx

Orchid222 · 27/06/2018 23:31

Critter- that sounds really promising! I don't think I could wait until the weekend though, I'd be testing already. Good luck, keeping everything crossed for you!

Thanks all for your nice thoughts and good wishes 😊 AF still isn’t here so she’s officially 2 days late now.

@Hobbes39 - that’s really interesting, thanks for sharing your experiences. Most of the things I’ve read seem to say that AF was bang on time, or that she was trying to start on time (spotting, brown sludge, etc) and then arrived in full force about 2 days late despite the progesterone support. There are a few people saying that theirs did stay away until after they stopped the progesterone although these mostly seem to be those who were injecting it. I guess everyone responds differently.

@Orchid222 -I don’t really want to test! As long as AF is staying away I can at least enjoy hoping, but seeing a BFN and knowing that I’m going to have to start it all again (and find another £1400 for next round of drugs) is going to be awful.Testing isn’t going to change the outcome so I’d rather just have hope for as long as possible I guess😊

mellongoose · 28/06/2018 07:58

Oh Critter you're doing so well. You're absolutely right but the waiting must be hideous. I've got everything crossed for you 👍👍👍🤞

Cleozeta · 28/06/2018 09:24

Everything crossed for you critter!! Please let us know how you get on at the weekend!!! And if you want to symptom spot with us, feel free, the wait must be torture but at the same time amazing to have that kind of realistic hope

Orchid222 · 28/06/2018 10:34

Makes sense Critter to enjoy the feeling of hope, I actually did the same in the cycle I got my bfp and only tested when I did because I had my leaving drinks at work but left it as late as possible for that very reason:)

I am excited for you critter, and I agree re enjoying the feeling of hope. Really hope it all works for you.

Orchid222 · 28/06/2018 13:06

Ok back to the ttc game for me! I got high fertility on my opk today so will dtd tonight. I also took a pregnancy test today and there's a barely visible line there so my hCG levels are almost back to normal.

@Orchid - that’s great news - go pounce on hubby 😊

Thank you all who have been so kind and supportive and crossing your fingers for me - it means a lot when there aren’t many people you can talk to about it!

My symptom spotting continues! New ‘symptoms’ since last night are: odd shooting and cramping spams in vagina/cervix which come and go, this morning waves of nausea on and off all morning ( I actually had this yesterday morning too but it was much milder and I thought I might be imagining it - deffo much stronger today), breathlessness when I rush up stairs , do housework etc, a very different pain in boobs since last night - feels like they’re being punched or stabbed every now and again, and in between just a deep uncomfortable ache, and still no AF 😊

Do Any of those sound positive?

littlemimosa · 28/06/2018 13:37

Which brands of ubiquinol do you all take please? And dosage?

Alibaba2 · 28/06/2018 13:41

Sounds positive Critter! Not long to wait.

So, AF didn’t arrive on Monday as expected. Had no PMT, white discharge (it’s normally brown before AF). No AF on Tues, Weds either. Getting hopeful by this point, but scared.

This morning woke up at 4am with cramps (this happened a few months ago too) - really felt like AF. Cramps went but came back again.

So just took a test quickly before the hormones drop and there is a faint line. Think it’s on the way out but at least I know I’m not going mad and imagining all these CPs!
