Hope you're not feeling too sore this morning after your gym sesh yesterday @cupcakesandglitter!

Might sound silly so please correct me if I am wrong! But I thought you were not allowed to travel whilst in later pregnancy so would you be able to travel at 7 months @Barker26 ? I completely agree on the broodiness feeling though!

Up and at it this morning and got a chilli in the slow cooker! It's just my usual recipe but rather than gravy granules I've used some stock instead!

Barker26 · 21/08/2018 08:15

Thanks for the reality check girls Blush if any of you have a fitbit on the app there is now a women's health section. Input the first and last day of your period and after a couple of months it tracks your ovulation, you can also input info like spotting/ discharge etc on the days in between! @cupcakesandglitter well done for going to the gym! That first time after a long break is always so hard ! Hot bath and plenty of water and the pain should go in a few days! Biscuit

Barker26 · 21/08/2018 08:18

@notabumpjusttoomanybiscuits you can fly upto 34 weeks with a doctor's note, although I am inclined to agree with everyone especially as i have no idea how a pregnancy would be for me in terms of sickness etc. Such a powerful feeling though! Also slow cooker chilli sounds amazing right now !!Shock

Youcandothis365 · 21/08/2018 08:35

Morning lovely ladies!

I love this thread!!!

@PastaSauceHoarder yes, we are going all inclusive.

@Barker26 the Hotel is Excellence Punta Cana. It does look beautiful and I’m sure in (hopefully) a couple of years when I can’t have a big blow out holiday and I’m surrounded my nappies, I look back with a big smile!

I’m struggling a little today; there appears to be babies all around and I am ridiculously jealous!!! The “logical” side of my brain tells me to stop being silly and keeps coming up with things that could (and probably should) be distractions, but I’m still being a mardy cow about it all. Going to allow myself until 9am then give myself a kick!!!

Barker26 · 21/08/2018 08:41

Omg @youcandothis365 we went to excellence el carmen round the corner ! You will not be disappointed !! The hospitality is amazing! Im so jealous haha!

Also feeling exactly the same as you though.. It's hard isn't it !

dottydally · 21/08/2018 08:55

@cupcakesandglitter well done on the exercise! Seems like a strange suggestion but I find more exercise helps me when I'm sore afterwards as it loosens me up and stops things going stiff. Perhaps something a bit lighter though. What about swimming?

@Barker26 I'm with you on dreaming about unrealistic ttc plans! My sensible head knows it's a bad idea but we can all dream. One of the ladies here has just announced she is 12 weeks. She sent round a sound clip of baby's heart beat and asked us to guess what it was! Lots of random guesses including trains and printers!

@Youcandothis365 honestly, I text my OH last night and asked if we could start now (he was at work, I'm not just being antisocial) and he said yes. It literally kills me that he's so ready for it and I'm making us wait when I am desperate for it too. We are allowed to be mardy cows sometimes. I often wondered when younger how you'd know when you were ready for children. But now my heart aches when I think about it I know I'm there.

We will soon be onto thread 3!! I really like that the Yammers have a 'graduates' thread. Maybe we should do that. Then we know where to find you all and keep up with progress once you leave us (not that we are asking you to leave or anything!!).

I've got what I think might be AF cramps and my BBT is finally dropping so that might resolve things for me. It might just be that I had a bit of a bug but I'll update later if she arrives! In reality it's a good thing as it's onwards and upwards until Christmas, but a little sad..

NoseringGirl · 21/08/2018 10:35

@cupcakesandglitter I feel your TTC stress! I'm heading into my 4th fertile window since we started trying and the over analysis is ridiculous!

@dottydally yes to a graduates thread! I still love reading this thread and keeping up with everyone even though I'm well into TTC now!

PastaSauceHoarder · 21/08/2018 10:52

Totally understandable that you might feel a bit sad, @dottydally. Flowers Its frustrating because really basically anything can mess with your cycle - a bug, stress, all that jazz.
I'm still hoping you get whatever you think is the best outcome for you though! 💛

I love the idea of a graduates thread, though I have a tiny selfish fear of being the only one left not pregnant after you've all gone off with your little bumps - I'm terrified of it taking a whole lot longer than I hope (though realistically I have no reason to doubt my body yet). Blush

A big yes to all the talk of jealousy!! I get a pang when someone annouces their expecting their second child, especially if their first is the same sort of age as my toddler. I want that lovely small age gap too, wahh!! Envy

cupcakesandglitter · 21/08/2018 11:26

Thankyou everyone 💕 feeling sore this morning but actually amazing! The cramps were just gas but me and DH are going again tonight, I'm glad it's worked. I'd love to get into swimming eventually but I am not confident whatsoever and would rather wait until I'm happier with my body, otherwise I know I'll just be stressing out 😩

Graduates is a good idea!! There's also the buses, I've seen quite a few of you ladies on some already, but it's nice to have people join each month, it's a good way of staying in touch too!

@PastaSauceHoarder I feel the same too, people post their BFPs and I'm just waiting on AF 😂 BUT it's so nice to have a group of supportive ladies, and we all know our times will come eventually! X

PastaSauceHoarder · 21/08/2018 12:29

Brilliant @cupcakesandglitter, glad you're feeling so good today! What sort of work out were you doing, I know you mentioned weights?

And you're right, this is a lovely supportive group. Its going to be so exciting seeing more and more BFPs popping up!

Whats everyone else up to/been up to today? Husband brought us home loads of fresh strawberries and blueberries last night so my toddler and I have been scoffing them this afternoon! Grin I blame you lot, all your talk of fruit and healthy eating. Wink

cupcakesandglitter · 21/08/2018 14:36

@PastaSauceHoarder hey yes! So I did hip abductors - loads of these, as pulses and also one at a time if that makes sense. These have written me off today - my hips and bum are killing me but it's a good thing!

I also did squats with a kettlebell (sorry I have ZERO idea about names of exercises), I did hip adductors but these are the ones that really hurt and pulled on my noonie so I won't be doing those again. I did only three mins on the cross trainer (wanted to make the most of weights, only really went to speak to DH as he was next to me 😂). I also did some arm stuff with dumbbells but I honestly don't even know what to google to find this out 😂😂😂😂😂

So jealous of the strawberries and blueberries!! I've been snacking on apples recently, I forgot how good they are!! X

Shout-out to everyone doing exercise! I decided to start yesterday (thanks for the motivation) as I'm in OK shape but just so... squidgy. Post-baby tummy is distinctly lacklustre, and I'd like to be in shape for number 2 - I think it'll be even harder to get back in shape after that, so might as well start well. I did some core exercises at home... Used to be able to plank for a couple of mins, I did 30s and nearly died... But we'll get there! Little by little.

Today I have my Spanish teacher coming, so am currently doing my homework for that. Feeling like a schoolgirl again, ha.

NoseringGirl · 21/08/2018 16:52

I went for a walk along the coast after work to get some exercise in! Took complete advantage of my parents having the kids. It was really nice to just be on my own.

@PastaSauceHoarder I think it'll probably take me a while so I'll be around and bumpless even though I think I was one of the first to start TTC!

PastaSauceHoarder · 21/08/2018 20:04

Ahh you're all so good with your exercise - I've had a completely lazy day today, haven't been out and just stayed in my pjs. Blush

Ooft that all sounds so intense @cupcakesandglitter, well done you!! Smile Have you got a goal you'd like to get to or is it just to get a little better into shape?

Hahah I am also squidgy, @Goostacean. Grin I think I more or less look the same as I used to though, only with a little added mum tum and post-breastfeeding boobs. But hey ho!
Oh god I remember attempting planking, I think 30 seconds is still very good though, I could barely do 10. Are you learning Spanish? Sorry if you've previously said before!

I've got my fingers crossed that'll it'll come much sooner than you think @NoseringGirl, we'll all have our bumps and babies sometime soon! How long have you been trying now?

cupcakesandglitter · 21/08/2018 20:44

@PastaSauceHoarder no goal as such, but I have squidgy and saggy bits and I've not had a baby yet. Need to tighten and tone, I know it'll be harder to lose it once I've had a baby, and I don't want to put any more on when I'm pregnant either x

OP posts:
Goostacean · 21/08/2018 20:55

@PastaSauceHoarder, sorry, probably I didn’t say- I’m living in South America for the year (back in March) hence learning Spanish. It’s going quite well but tbh I need to focus a bit more on it to make sure the lessons pay off.

@cupcakes Good luck! I gained 25kgs during my pregnancy. I was a little 🐳 tbh 😂 I feel you re toning though, I’ve only got 5-6kgs left to lose and I do fit into my old clothes, but I just feel... soft.

NoseringGirl · 21/08/2018 20:55

@PastaSauceHoarder we definitely will! I'm only on cycle 4 now and both my DSs took nearly 18 months of trying each.

Barker26 · 22/08/2018 08:34

Great work on the excercise ladies! I have zero motivation for it! By the time i get home from work I just park my bum on the sofa and that's me done! Number 1 motivation for having a baby not having to go to work! Lol just kidding. I've been thinking i need to go out on the bike but been making excuses about the heat but that's gone now! It's been sat in the garage brand new and unused for over a year !

Youcandothis365 · 23/08/2018 09:16

Morning Ladies!

I hope everyone is good today!!

I’m falling into obsessive baby habits again. I went through a period of having LOADS of spreadsheets detailing maternity pay, savings, what we needed to buy ect. I think I did it as it was the only thing I could do. I eventually deleted all of the spreadsheets (which is a good thing) but, after doing an office collection for my boss’ new baby (who is due any day), I keep finding myself on sites like Mothercare looking at prams! I really need to get a grip!

So, I thought I'd come and say morning to you lovely lot! Apologies for the random post, I just needed to get it out!!!!

cupcakesandglitter · 23/08/2018 09:32

Morning @Youcandothis365 - don't worry, some of us on here have spreadsheets too, myself included 😂 nothing wrong with doing what you have to, it makes the wait a little easier Grin no it doesn't

OP posts:
RandomUsernameHere · 23/08/2018 09:47

Morning everyone!

@Youcandothis365 don't worry I think that sort of thing is completely normal! I found myself looking at baby clothes before we'd even definitely made up our minds to TTC. I was supposed to be food shopping and found myself in the baby clothes section, it was almost a subconscious thing I just ended up the there!!

dottydally · 23/08/2018 09:53

@Youcandothis365 joining the club of baby obsession. I was browsing cribs last night and figuring out which one I want. (In case anyone is interested, I want a bedside crib whilst baby is in our room). I also think I know which pram I want but that's just off the internet as I haven't yet been brave enough to look at prams in a shop!

cupcakesandglitter · 23/08/2018 10:11

@dottydally same here! I've even rearranged the room to make sure we have the space for it too 😂 DH has had to make space in his wardrobe to hold the baby clothes we've bought already... whoops 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
dottydally · 23/08/2018 10:14

@cupcakesandglitter what do you want?

dottydally · 23/08/2018 10:15

@cupcakesandglitter pressed send too soon! I haven't bought any clothes yet as we are not ttc til after Christmas and I don't want to tempt fate doesn't stop me browsing though. I think I might be getting a baby names book for Christmas though!!
