@PastaSauceHoarder it's worth a go! I see to work shifts and my temps were all over the place but I could still see a pattern when I ovulated. I use an Ava bracelet now so it all looks neater (and with the exception of this month apparently) are easier to read.

@rollerskaterdata that's exactly what I'm like, impatient all the way! Hopefully you'll be impatiently pregnant soon!

cupcakesandglitter · 07/08/2018 12:20

@NoseringGirl 😂 I suppose if you can still see a pattern it's worth continuing! I've stupidly left my thermometer at home so no temping for me for the next couple of days 🤷🏻‍♀️

@rollerskaterdata oh god, same here! DH sounds like a bloody trumpet, and once he's asleep there is no waking him. He really has mastered the art of not giving a shit and sleeping when he feels like it 😂

I'm with you on the impatiently TTC!! I'm so done already, just want this month to be my month 😂 this is so difficult!!

rollerskaterdata · 07/08/2018 12:58

@NoseringGirl I really hope so! I'm keeping my fx that everyone here gets preg quickly whenever they start and we all get sticky beans!

@cupcakesandglitter I know it's ridiculous isn't it? I really thought once I started trying I'd be happy because at least we would've started iyswim? But actually it's just as bad because I'm wishing days away to be fertile and then wishing days away to when I can test! This TTC malarkey is clearly making me bonkers 🤓

cupcakesandglitter · 07/08/2018 13:15

@rollerskaterdata I feel the same, I guess we're just going to have to accept we'll probably be crazy until we have our little ones 😂

@NoseringGirl it's my first time ever temping and my chart is ridiculous. I'm using Flo to track and it seems to be logging patterns but I can't make sense of it. Today I logged my temp and suddenly it seemed to calculate my exact day of ovulation as CD12. I'm on CD34 and my temp dipped last week but now has been steadily rising. No sign of AF. Tested with FRER last week and was negative (no sign of a second line at all). Thinking of testing again tomorrow if temp continues to rise. It's my first month off the pill so no idea what to expect. Just so happens we DTD a few times around supposed ovulation date so I guess there is a chance. Fx for you with FRER.

Tash32 · 07/08/2018 20:17

I’m so sorry to butt in to the convo guys. But I’m so new. I’m not quite there with some things... what is temping? And now for the exceptionaly naive question... CD? Is this the day that my last period would have started? So sorry for being a dumby!! X

cupcakesandglitter · 07/08/2018 21:38

@Tash32 hey! So temping is taking your body temperature at the same time every morning, at the same time, using a thermometer that measures two decimal places (eg. 35.50 degrees) and the pop it into an app every morning. So I input it into Flo, and then at the end of the month you'll have a complete chart. The rises in temp shows ovulation and then AF...

And yes, CD1 is first day of last period x

@cupcakesandglitter thank you 😊.
And good luck, I’m sure your time is just around the corner xx

Pinkroseuk · 08/08/2018 16:55

Loving the Christmassy chat :) I have already started my shopping and planning which Christmas fayres to go to :D

Cd 73 for me and also failing with any more weight loss so ordered a couple of books from amazon today and looking for a change of plan.
The person I work with has asked for 3 weeks off next June for a cruise (there has to always be one of us there). Was kind of hoping I wouldn't be there by then but we shall see what happens!

Jelliestogether · 10/08/2018 06:56

Still keeping my fingers crossed for everyone here. Loving all the Christmas chat here too! Although didn't know there was a whole section on it!!

Bit of a set back for me ttc, basically deciding to wait until Christmas now. Partly due to needing to sort our finances out properly and remortgaging. Bit of a disappointment but I totally get why. Although we did have a bit of a risk last week which was close to ovulation according to flo app.

cupcakesandglitter · 10/08/2018 12:18

Ah @Jelliestogether 😩 I suppose if it's for the best, it'll all be worth it in the end x what would you do if you did end up with a BFP this month? X

Hi all. Cycle day 63 and still no sign of Af.
I am going away tomorrow and have no idea what to expect from a natural period as I have been on the pill for 15 years and not yet had my first. I’m panicking.... will there be any signs or could it just arrive when I’m about to jump into the pool. Shock. This being a women lark is hard going!

Any experiences of coming of the cp and first natural periods would be great.

Oh and I know I’ve asked similar questions. But just feeling so impatient xx

Jelliestogether · 10/08/2018 20:49

@cupcakesandglitter we would both be over the moon and it wouldn't effect any of the finance sorting that we need to do. But I know it would stress him a bit. He's already feeling the pressure of potentially just his income, which would more than cover all our costs.

@tash32 I had a very mild period for my first, only lasted 2 days. Had one day of very mild cramping before AF. Hope you can enjoy your holiday!

Tash32 · 10/08/2018 21:11

@jelliestogether Hi. So how long before your first natural period after stopping the pill? If you don’t mind me asking. I just wish I’d know if I’d atleast get a little warning, mind you, I’d just be greatful for ad to just make an appearance at this point xxx

Pinkroseuk · 10/08/2018 21:23

Hi @Tash32 - I came off the pill March 2017 and by jan 2018 I still hadn't had AF. Went to docs and got referred to hospital- they gave me some pills to force AF that worked but it's still not returned since - currently CD76.
I have PCOS that they think isn't helping but it can take time -
It's the worst thing ever waiting isn't it?

Tash32 · 10/08/2018 21:50

@Pinkroseuk oh gosh. So your going through it at the moment... it’s all such a worry isn’t it. Waiting is like waiting for Xmas but knowing you may not get any prezzies! It’s awful.

So do you try ovulation kits? If you don’t mind me asking, it’s just that I have been to afraid to try one up to now xxx

It’s nice to talk about it though.

Pinkroseuk · 10/08/2018 21:59

@Tash32 that's a good way of describing it!

I have bought a clear blue advanced fertility monitor but it's just showing as high everyday so not really bothering to use it atm.

The docs have said they can give me something to force AF again and ovulation when I have my BMI under 30 so having to wait till I have lost weight and get below that.

It is good to talk- how long since you stopped the pills now?

Tash32 · 10/08/2018 22:12

@Pinkroseuk oh really so does high mean your ovulating? I’m a little new to it all. I just thought I’d stop the pill and off we go... but no obviously not that simple.

I stopped at the beginning of June. I had the withdrawal bleed. But nothing from the 8th June 😞. Thinking about it probably isn’t helping but I can’t stop obsessing over it. Xx

PastaSauceHoarder · 10/08/2018 23:06

@Tash32 I'd definitely recommend just biting the bullet and buying some cheapie ovulation sticks from Amazon! Even though you haven't had a period you might still be ovulating - it could be worth using them just to put your mind at ease. Smile

Hope all is going well @Pinkroseuk, that fertility monitor sounds like a bit of a pain! Have you tried any other form of ovulation tests to compare it to?

Well it sort of looks like I've gotten my first period almost exactly two years since my last one. Though I'm still apprehensive, its very light and (sorry if tmi!) brownish and sticky... But its come hand in hand with a forehead full of nasty lumpy spots so it just maybe it might be the real deal!
Its 12DPO as well - does anyone know if that sounds about 'right'? The amount I don't know about my own body is shocking. 😣

Tash32 · 11/08/2018 08:27

@PastaSauceHoarder. Yea i will. I was just a little scared to on hol because I didn’t want it to start me worrying away. But I suppose I already am.

Wow that sounds promising 😁. It certainly sounds like something positive is going on!
Good luck 😊 xx

Pinkroseuk · 11/08/2018 08:42

@Tash32 I think it's meant to give u a smiley face when your ovulating but I have never had one of those!

@PastaSauceHoarder yes it is a bit and it's like £20 a box for the test strip and it's asking me to do it everyday atm so that's not lasting a Month!
Which cheapie ones would you recommend?

Ooh that sounds positive :) xx

NeverHadANickname · 11/08/2018 10:48

Hi everyone. Looks like you are all busy tracking ovulation and getting ready, very exciting.

I have been a bit quiet, been finding everything hard, so much waiting. But we have FINALLY had our visa approved so I just need to book my medical and interview now. Looks like I'll start to TTC in October some time 😊

NeverHadANickname · 11/08/2018 13:56

I know this has been asked before and I have seen people mention Flo but which app do people use? I have attached a screen shot of what comes up when I search for Flo. I might have to start tracking better and get a thermometer (so any links to those would be good too) because until we are married (only a few weeks after I move) we are hoping to just time it right until after we are married. Although we would both be happy if I got pregnant sooner.

(Still) Waiting to TTC... Part 2!
Jxtina86 · 11/08/2018 14:59

@NeverHadANickname the actual Flo app is the third one down- with the feather symbol. It's a good all rounder I think. I've seen others say that Fertility Friend is better for BBT though. I haven't tried anything other than Flo personally so can't say for sure on that front!

NeverHadANickname · 11/08/2018 15:19

@Jxtina86 thank you 😊 I'll have a look.
