@pinkroseuk. That's really good. Well done! Have you a total weight loss goal?
I've cut down my lunches to just a salad and cut out snacks entirely. It's just my dinner portions that are massive- yesterday me and OH shared a kilo of BBQ Pork Ribs and I felt so fat after eating them but they were soooo good! Once I start eating I just can't stop.
My wedding is in October so I've got plenty of time I suppose!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 18/07/2018 07:28

Just taken an early response PT which was also negative. Currently on CD47. 😫 Anyone got any tips of helping AF along? X

springsummerautumnwinter · 18/07/2018 07:44

Oh gosh sorry Assume. Our body's can be quite cruel sometimes. Glad to hear we are working on weight loss, helps keep me on track (ignoring the 2 takeaways I had at the weekend!!!)

Jxtina86 · 18/07/2018 07:49

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I'm so sorry about the test result. No tips on getting AF to appear unfortunately but really feel for you - I'd want the same just so could focus on the next cycle starting and moving forward.

Jelliestogether · 18/07/2018 08:28

@assumeitwassomethingclever sorry to hear it was negative. No tips for getting it to come along but I do sympathise with you. I had a 57 day one a couple of cycles back and was a horrible wait! Try and keep busy to take your mind off it.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 18/07/2018 11:36

Thanks all. I am quite gutted to be honest. Atleast now I can throw myself into getting ready for the wedding. Going to talk to OH tonight about bringing ttc forward to next cycle (depending on how long this one actually lasts!). Haven't told him about any PT's as he wanted me to surprise him when it happens. I think he suspects though as I didn't drink during our weekend away. I'm really hoping TTC goes smoothly when we do start as I've always been paranoid it won't happen for me. This cycle hasn't exactly put my mind at rest either!

Pinkroseuk · 18/07/2018 13:30

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I'm aiming for 40kg but would be happy with 30-35 :)
Sorry to hear about the second test- I seem to be in a similar position to you with the really long cycles- I find it very frustrating - probably more so than normal cycles and lots of negatives as it feels like not even getting the chance to get anywhere!
I think keeping busy helps- have you got everything planned for the wedding? We had an October wedding too :) xx

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 18/07/2018 15:46

@Pinkroseuk- Good luck Smile Thank you. It really is frustrating. I'm just hoping it's just my pill working it's way out and nothing underlying.
We've got pretty much everything sorted now. We were abit apprehensive about the weather but I'm hoping the dry summer extends into Autumn! How was the weather for yours?

PastaSauceHoarder · 18/07/2018 18:58

I had a few missed periods dotted about when the pill was working its way out of my system, @AssumeItWasSomethingClever. It is horrible, I remember getting my hopes up so much when another day would go by and no sign of bleeding, even if we weren't actively trying. Its really hard not to get excited and think 'oh my god, this is it, I must be pregnant'. And then when the test is negative its just sad and frustrating.
When I eventually did fall pregnant by surprise (on another kind of pill) I couldn't bring myself to take a test because I couldn't stand the thought of going through the disappointment again.
How long have you been off the pill now? Sorry if you've already said it, these threads get confusing!

crazychemist · 18/07/2018 19:36

Weight loss sounds like a good pre-ttc distraction! I'm onboard with that, should probably try to get back to pre-DD weight before getting preggers again.... (sooooo not going to happen!)

Wish I could remember how long it was between going off the pill and first proper cycle before I had DD. It was definitely quite a long time. Could well have been two or three months. After that everything was fine though, so perhaps you have a similar situation assume? I went off the pill during the summer holidays, conceived around Christmas, I think I can only remember having one or two proper periods, can't remember exactly. I think it may have only been one.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 18/07/2018 19:39

@PastaSauceHoarder you’ve just summed it up perfectly! How old is you LO? 😊
I came off the pill in March. They say it can take a year for your periods to regulate themselves. I can’t wait that long! 😂

Pinkroseuk · 18/07/2018 22:39

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever fingers crossed it settles down soon. I came off the pill 17 months ago and it's still all over the place so I think even a year is hopeful in some cases...

We had showers for our wedding- it was warm though but the showers made it harder for people to mingle outside- we had it at a local village hall that's designed like a barn (but at a village hall rental price!)
We had the most wonderful 3-4ft umbrellas though that kept everyone dry - would highly recommend!

PastaSauceHoarder · 19/07/2018 09:37

My sweet little girl is now 13 months old, @AssumeItWasSomethingClever. 😊 By the time we begin ttc she'll be 17 months - I so want that lovely two year age gap but I'm terrified I'm going to put far too much pressure on myself. I guess we'll just have to see what November brings!
Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long for you to regulate again. Its so confusing not knowing where your body is at isn't it? 🙄
@Pinkroseuk your wedding umbrellas sound like they were brilliant!

NeverHadANickname · 19/07/2018 11:23

I'm sorry to post this seeing other people are trying to reduce their cycle lengths and I only stopped my pill early April but I was so hoping that my cycles would go back to their usual 28 days and at least that would be fairly 'normal' and a good starting point. As someone else said, I too have always been worried that I would not be able to conceive naturally. Anyway, my first cycle off the pill withdrawal bleed was 29 days, then 28 days (was excited it looked to be going back to 28 days) but my period started last night on day 24. So frustrated. It's not the end of the world and I'm probably just more upset because of the hormones and I've had a headache for a few days. I really need to drink more.

I hope everyone is doing well. It's good to read about people's weight losses, I'm maintaining or losing a little bit at the moment but after we were discussing the wedding and me thinking about wedding dresses at the weekend I really need to step it up.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 21/07/2018 07:37

Good morning ladies. Cycle day 50 for me so I’ve just done another test and...
it’s faint but a definite positive. 😊

(Still) Waiting to TTC... Part 2!
AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 21/07/2018 07:46

Ps. Sorry for the shit photo. I’m shaking too much to keep my phone still. 😂

KinCat · 21/07/2018 07:53

Congratulations! That's a really good line! I never see lines on the pics people post here but that's super clear. I can't remember if you said - do you know when you ovulated? Perhaps you ovulated much later than usual?

Pinkroseuk · 21/07/2018 07:54

Congratulations @AssumeItWasSomethingClever :) so pleased for you :D
The mystery of the long cycle is over!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 21/07/2018 08:02

@kincat, Thank you 😊 Naturalcycles is saying that I ovulated on CD18 we used the pull out method (ha!!) on CD13 so I think that must have been when it happened!
@pinkroseuk. Thank you! I couldn’t believe it. I just thought, “I’ll do one just in case”. I’m watching it for the 4 mins being completely negative and then all of a sudden it just turned. I’m in complete shock.

Pinkroseuk · 21/07/2018 08:15

So pleased :) I'm tempted to try one now in case I'm late for the same reason!
Do you mind me asking what test you used?

Jxtina86 · 21/07/2018 08:26

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever huge congrats! So pleased for you! (I'd also be interested in what test you used...)

KinCat · 21/07/2018 08:39

Wow ok, if that ov date is correct you must be quite pregnant!

Jelliestogether · 21/07/2018 08:53

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever ahhh how amazing for you guys!! At least that solves the long cycle dilemma for you!! How far does that make you? I bet your super excited!! I also think that makes you the first in the group!!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 21/07/2018 09:01

I used Ovaview sensitive early results from Amazon. Im about 6 weeks. Due 10th March. Can you tell I’ve just spent the last two hours googling?! 😂

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 21/07/2018 09:08

I’ve also done a boots own make digital which is also positive. I’m over the moon.
