@DoveGreylove yes I have got some clothes and bits :)
Just weighed myself as had some new scales delivered and despite halving my food intake I have out 3kg on since Thursday?! I have been drinking more but it seems an awful lot!

Jxtina86 · 03/07/2018 17:56

Took my last pill yesterday so now just waiting for withdrawal bleed... I've ordered a thermometer as figured tracking my bbt is going to be cheaper long term than lots of opks especially between withdrawal bleed and first true period where who knows what my body will decide to do! App wise I've switched to Flo from Clue - still finding my feet with it though!

cupcakesandglitter · 03/07/2018 18:51

@DoveGreylove I couldn't resist!! That way I'm covered with whichever I have 😂😂 that romper sounds so cute though 😭😭

@NeverHadANickname did it work? I eat and type 😂😂😂😂

@Jxtina86 omg how exciting!!

AF has hit me soooo one month to go for me!!! Nerves are really kicking in now and I DESPERATELY need to lose as much weight as I can!!

OP posts:
Jxtina86 · 03/07/2018 18:53

@cupcakesandglitter thank you! and exciting for you too! I don't think I will have looked forward to a period more than the upcoming ones!

cupcakesandglitter · 03/07/2018 20:14

@Jxtina86 definitely 😂😂

Is anyone else slightly worrying? I'm getting so nervous now I keep thinking I'm going to stress out too much and put my body off, and won't be able to get pregnant 😩

OP posts:
Jxtina86 · 03/07/2018 20:39

@cupcakesandglitter I know exactly what you mean. I've always said 'if we have kids' rather than 'when' as I've never wanted to assume it would be an easy ride or put pressure on myself. However that mentality is very hard to keep when we're actually going to start trying. I'm planning to start practicing mindfulness again to keep myself calm, positive and as stress free as possible!

rollerskaterdata · 03/07/2018 21:01

@cupcakes, ooo exciting! Nearly one month to go for me too, if Flo has predicted AF dates correctly I'll be on TTC cycle 1 within the first 5 days of August. Is that around when you'll be trying too? We can be TTC buddies!

cupcakesandglitter · 03/07/2018 21:11

@Jxtina86 it's so hard isn't it!! It's hard enough now not being able to subconsciously control it 😭

@rollerskaterdata snap!! We probably will be! I'm on day 2 now, I think AF could be around 31-4th August (it's not been exactly 30days) which means I'll be on cycle 1 around then too!! Isn't this exciting?! 😬😬

OP posts:
rollerskaterdata · 03/07/2018 21:25

@cupcakes, eeek! It really is! Flo says AF should start on Friday (but my period is normally irregular by a few days each month either way) so really could come anytime between Friday and next Wednesday depending on cycle length. I've never been so excited for AF to arrive so I can just get on with my last cycle before TTC!

NeverHadANickname · 03/07/2018 21:32

@cupcakesandglitter yes it actually did. Chocolate was all I could think about then I posted on here for a bit of accountability and never thought about it again.

In terms of worrying, I know I will and I do obsess about things (I have diagnosed OCD) so I have told my other half I'd like him to track my periods and tell me if/when I need to POAS 😊 if it was me I'd go through about a hundred a month haha. If it doesn't happen for a while we'll start using apps and temping and stuff but he knows his stuff so will know when I should be ovulating. Couple that with me getting ovulation pains and we should be good for the time being.

KinCat · 04/07/2018 05:04

pinkrose maybe your scales are calibrated differently to your old ones? I don't trust the accuracy of our digital ones sometimes - I can fluctuate 3kg in a day.

Never that's good that your DP is so onboard. It seems like a lot of guys aren't that interested.

I downloaded fertility friend in the end as it has space dedicated to non-period symptoms more so than any of the others I looked at. I haven't had a proper period for 7 years due to the IUD so like that fertility friend doesn't seem so focussed on periods.

NoseringGirl · 04/07/2018 08:17

Just popping back in to say hello! I'm onto my second cycle of trying now and excited to see a few of you won't be far behind me!
Hope everyone is well, I'm still lurking and being inspired by your self control with weight loss (I'm still dropping some pounds after starting trying).
I'd definitely recommend fertility friend. I've been using it for years even when not TTC. It's a great way to keep track of everything.
Take care everyone!

DoveGreylove · 04/07/2018 15:48

@rollerskaterdata Exactly, I feel like they are wasted opportunities too. Especially when we don't know how long it's going to take us! Good luck for making it through your last cycle. It can't be easy! But you have the right reasons to hold on that little bit longer :)

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever You have a lot of exciting things to come then! Fingers are crossed for you - you never know - it only takes one time to get pregnant!

@KinCat You are right, I hope they will enjoy my new baby stage just as much as they did theirs :) And I am hoping I may make a few new friends once I have children. I look forward to joining a few baby classes and things!

@organised5 Thanks for the information - we are both going to have the antibodies test soon I think. Then we can make a decision on if we wait the whole 6 months or perhaps start a little earlier? I have been warned it isn't 100% reliable though and we shouldn't rely on it, but like you say the risks are so low anyway, especially if the results are "negative" for antibodies. Where did you go to be exposed to the Zika virus?

@Pinkroseuk Ah you have clothes and things too! So i'm definitely not the only then :)

@Jxtina86 Temping is a really affordable way to start following your cycles so I would defo recommend. You just have to ensure you wake up and take your temp immediately at pretty much exactly the same time every morning!

@cupcakesandglitter @Jxtina86 I am definitely worrying about it and I say "if" and not "when". Everyone tells me that stress doesn't help and unfortunately I have been stressing over TTC for months and we aren't even trying yet. I downloaded a mindfulness app that I really need to start using Grin !
@NeverHadANickname That is a really great idea for you. You are lucky you have such a supportive OH to do that! I love the thought of my hubbie being in control of us TTC but unfortunately he just doesn't have a clue despite me trying to educate on it!!

@NoseringGirl Hope your TTC journey isn't too stressful! Good Luck!!

NeverHadANickname · 04/07/2018 17:45

@KinCat @DoveGreylove I am very lucky. He wants to be completely involved with everything he can be. This will be my first but he already has older DC.

KinCat · 05/07/2018 01:41

That's so nice Never. I'm trying to lure my DH in with all the data and science. He loves that stuff and didn't realise how much you could do to determine ovulation etc. I think he's of the opinion it's all a waste of time though and we just have to shag like normal and that's it! I guess that is the case for some people...fingers crossed!

NeverHadANickname · 05/07/2018 02:05

Fingers crossed indeed, that's what we all hope for I suppose. Until we are actually trying we won't know so I actually like his plan haha.

I can't sleep tonight. I'm not sure why but I'm thinking about my visa application a lot (and the fact they won't have worked on any today because it's 4th July) and getting frustrated with it so that probably doesn't help.

KinCat · 05/07/2018 06:03

Cross-border relationships are hard. My DH is from SE Asia but lived in the UK which is where we met. We live in SE Asia now so we've both had to deal with the stress of visas, being far away from family etc.

NeverHadANickname · 05/07/2018 10:22

@KinCat it's good to know someone understands, we didn't have a clue before we started. We are on a forum to track other people progress and chat about it but there is always a couple of people who think they know it all or whenever someone is having a bad day and complains it is taking so long says things like 'well it takes as long as it takes, we all have to wait the same, there is no point complaining about it, nothing we can do about it' which is all true but doesn't need to be said, we can all feel sad about it sometimes. We put our application in in January and I won't be over until October/November at the earliest really so it's a long slog. Anyway, sorry about all that, clearly needed to get that off my chest 🙈 as annoying as waiting to TTC is I sometimes think it is good to have that prep to take my mind off the visa and the other way round sometimes too.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 05/07/2018 10:48

A friend at work has just announced that his wife is pregnant after 18 months of trying. I'm really happy for him as they really deserve it! Cannot wait until it's me. So incredibly broody.
In other news, it looks like it's going to be another long cycle. I'm already on day 33 with no sign of AF yet. Never thought I'd be this impatient for my period to arrive. I'm so glad when it comes and I can knock another cycle off my wait. Anyone else eagerly awaiting AF?

DoveGreylove · 05/07/2018 15:16

Anyone else eagerly awaiting AF?
I'm actually hoping the opposite! My luteal phase is too short and every cycle I hope my period will come a couple of days later than it usually does Grin

Pinkroseuk · 05/07/2018 18:18

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever yes I'm currently day 38- ran out of pills that the hospital gave me to make my periods more regular - she said if it gets to 120 days to go and get some more! Could be a long road the next few weeks!
My husband has had a letter from the hospital to do a semen test - it's at a clinic about 70miles from us though so will probably have to take a day off work to do it! Why is everything so complicated sometimes?

rollerskaterdata · 06/07/2018 08:46

@Assume, puts hand up me! AF arrived full force this morning, spot on 28 day cycle (I knew it would be because for the first time EVER I felt Ov on CD 14 exactly. Here's hoping it keeps doing that rather than going skewy when we actually start trying which would just be typical!). This is our last 'wasted' cycle as it were for want of a better term, I've never been so eager for a cycle to start and end all at the same time! Next cycle beginning of August will be our first TTC eeeeeek! If it wasn't for our holiday next month we'd be TTC this cycle, I have really mixed feelings about that holiday now! Forgive my terrible memory, I seem to remember a few ladies will start trying in August too?

rollerskaterdata · 06/07/2018 08:51

@DoveGrey, have you tried the pregnacare conception tablets? For me I think (because I've never properly tracked Ov with temping or OPKs etc, just CM and twinges as I feel Ov every month) my LP was around 11-12 days, but since taking them it's upwards of 14. Again I haven't measured this to an exact science, and it may have been the coil removal rather than the tablets that caused the change, but may be worth a try as they are a preconception vit anyway? I think there are other tablets/natural remedies you can take to lengthen your LP, I remember reading about it once but I can't remember what they are!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 06/07/2018 08:59

@Pinrose Have they said what's causing the long cycles?

@Rollerskater That's so exciting!! I'm really pleased that your wait is nearly over. I'm starting in September and cannot wait!

Every so often I get a twinge and think AF is about to arrive but so far it's been empty promises. I know 38 day cycles aren't exactly massive but I really hope it doesn't make TTC more difficult!

DoveGreylove · 06/07/2018 09:02

rollerskaterdata Yes I have been taking them already :) Sadly they didn't have any effect on my cycle length. I ovulate late in my cycle (day 19 or 20 and have been monitoring for 6 months) but my period still starts any time from day 28-31. I am going to go to my Dr next month and tell her about it (again) but the last time I brought it up she said not to worry about it.... I know we are not TTC yet but surely it makes sense to try and fix these things before the problems even start?
