It is easily done. I need to go back to eating how I was pre operation but it's hard to get started again. I feel more accountable now you lot are listening now though. I'm sure we can help each other going forward, no judgement just support and a telling off when needed. We are all in it together.

Pinkroseuk · 28/06/2018 20:46

Sounds like a good plan @NeverHadANickname :)

KinCat · 29/06/2018 04:04

Hello! We're going to start trying in the autumn after a holiday that's not compatible with pregnancy (diving!). DH wavers between wanting to delay so we can "travel" etc. but realistically we're not going to do that so I think he's finally settled on the side of yeah, let's do this. I won't be holding my breath post holiday but a girl can dream!

I definitely need to eat healthier and be better at taking my folic acid tablets. They're just so massive and leave a bad taste for ages.

KinCat · 29/06/2018 04:44

Also need to do some exercise...I was really good at doing 20 minutes a day for a couple of weeks and I felt so good for it but then life got in the way and I haven't got back on the wagon. Maybe tomorrow...

NeverHadANickname · 29/06/2018 10:58

Morning everyone. So today I am definitely not going to eat any of the chocolates in the bowl in the office I'm in. Small steps and all that. I am on a night out tomorrow so will be a lot of alcohol consumed but there is no point putting off starting just because of one day.

I usually look on pinterest at cute baby pictures for my inspiration and was going to post one but I know it can be hard looking at baby pictures when all you want is one of your own. Hopefully getting healthier and slimmer will help me get there though.

I hope you all have a great day if you are healthy eating or not and happy Friday 😊

rollerskaterdata · 29/06/2018 11:26

Morning all, also dropped off the thread a bit due to a busy week. Also keen to support each other lose weight, I've been terrible and stress eating the past few weeks so know I've put on a few pounds and I'm so mad at myself after doing so well for so long. I was at the weight I wanted to be to start TTC a few weeks ago and I would be gutted if I'm not when it actually comes to when we start trying in August. I need to do better! The weather doesn't help, all I can think of is ice cream and wine! Managed to resist so far but not sure I will over this weekend...Sad

Jxtina86 · 29/06/2018 11:58

Also dropped off thread too - been away last weekend and then have been struck down with flu (not fun in a heatwave!)

Re weight loss - husband and I have been doing a lot of the body coach recipes. Nice and quick of an evening and tasty. Real mix of stuff and most of it is just subbing for a healthy alternative. Bangers & mash but mash is made of cauliflower and butter beans for example so getting more veg in.

Three more days of the pill here and then waiting for the withdrawal bleed. Not sure what to do between that and when my true cycle starts though?! Use alternative protection or just be careful?!

NeverHadANickname · 29/06/2018 12:15

We are wondering too about what to use when I move over before we get married. Probably a mix of condoms and possibly a few what the hell moments by the sounds of it 😂 neither of us would mind an early surprise at all.

KinCat · 29/06/2018 16:31

Yeah I have a coil which I'm a bit keen to get rid of as I haven't been off hormonal contraceptives for almost ten years so my body could probably use a break.

Can't face going back to condoms though - they just remind me of teenage years! I think we'll just try and be careful with timings.

When are you getting married Never?

Pinkroseuk · 29/06/2018 17:02

I've done quite well today and so far had about half the amount I normally would eat and I have drunk more water!

Love the idea of baby pics @NeverHadANickname I might try that one :)

@Jxtina86 do you find there is lots to choose from with the recipes? My husband is a massive eater so struggling to come up with things I can make that we can both eat without me eating masses or the wrong things! Thanks

NeverHadANickname · 29/06/2018 17:19

@Kincat as soon as possible after the visa process is done so maybe October/November time.

I have done well today. Just making a Spanish omlette to have with a big salad.

Jxtina86 · 29/06/2018 17:28

@Pinkroseuk yes lots of variety. I eat anything but DH is fussy. However he's tried lots of new things since using these recipes. Portion wise they're a bit hit and miss - the single portion recipes are massive to begin with so have to tweak and refine to get it right for two or however many. I find the cooking for family and friends book to be the best for portions and variety - it's still split into low carb and 'post workout' aka increased carb but we mostly cook out of the former and they are really filling.

dottydally · 29/06/2018 18:23

I have not done well today! I've just eaten most of a sharing bag of poppadoms (the nice sensations ones which just so happen to be on offer in the supermarket Hmm

I'm blaming it on the fact we stopped to grab bits on the way home from the airport and I was staaaaaaarving.

It will get better, surely? I will do a healthy food shop for next week. . .

NeverHadANickname · 29/06/2018 18:25

It will get better @dottydally there is always tomorrow 😊

Pinkroseuk · 29/06/2018 18:58

Thanks @Jxtina86 I will have a look tonight :)
@dottydally there is always tomorrow- we always stop on the way home from a long trip too- it's the worse time to stop really especially as your hungry!
I might do an online shop this week to save the tempting end of isle offers!

Pebblespony · 29/06/2018 19:52

We can do it. I need to lose at least a stone, would be happier with one and a half. I did it for my wedding so I know I can do it. And I'm going to do it now. Just need to believe I can.

rollerskaterdata · 29/06/2018 22:47

@pebbles, that's the spirit! We can all do it Smile I find I'm better when going by fixed markers and dates so as July starts on Sunday I'll start then, if I eat better and lose a pound a week I can shift the pounds I've put on recently in time for my cycle in August when I start TTC (and my holiday!)

NeverHadANickname · 30/06/2018 12:50

Hi everyone. I'm loading up on carbs today to try and offset some of the alcohol but it's just one day. Hope you all have great weekends.

cupcakesandglitter · 30/06/2018 18:50

@NeverHadANickname I'm doing a bbq tonight - lots of neat and veg which is fine lots of wine too. Hope you have a good weekend too!

So I went shopping today and may or may not have bought some neutral baby clothes... I couldn't resist

I have officially lost the plot.

Hii can I join this discussion please ☺️ Just came on today and was pretty gutted😢 Can't wait to try again but feel like I keep obsessing over this 😩 Hopefully next month is the month 😬😬

Pinkroseuk · 30/06/2018 20:25

Hope your all having a good weekend- we had a bbq today so wasn't too bad and it's so hot don't really feel like any tea yet.

@cupcakesandglitter our friends recently had a load of clothes they were getting rid of and they have come in our direction - so cute but also hope it's not too long till there filled-
We're hoping to have a BFP by next March fingers crossed but we shall see :)

Welcome @Cooks08 - fingers crossed for you for next month :)

NeverHadANickname · 01/07/2018 08:14

@cupcakesandglitter I'm so jealous, I can't wait until I start buying stuff.

I was out last night. I was mainly looking forward to it and as the night got going I enjoyed myself. When I get home and the next morning though I always wonder why I bother. I hate feeling drunk and barely sleep when I am but every so often I feel like I just need to. Didn't go too over the top last night though, maybe only one or two too many for me.

dottydally · 01/07/2018 21:08

After a bad eating weekend, tomorrow is a fresh start. I forgot to food shop this weekend so will go tomorrow before work. Any inspiration? We eat pretty much anything, all meat/veggies (except aubergine and sprouts). Not a big lover of salad, but pasta/rice salad/cous cous is fine. We can do this!

dottydally · 01/07/2018 21:13

Will also be facing the music later.. scales await!

Pinkroseuk · 01/07/2018 21:25

We went shopping today and I got loads of fruit ( not usually a fruit person but love my veggies) - also got a stir fry- chicken fajitas with salad (hubby will have with chips), seeded cod fillets.
Healthy dinners I'm okay with it's lunch box stuff I struggle with-
Oh I also bought about 50 yoghurts- various flavours all on offer (im a massive yellow sticker reduced shopper!)
Not sure if that's any help really but might be!
