@Wellthisunexpected congratulations!

@hayleyfx have you looked at the test again? I find that when they are the very early days of being positive they will dry showing the second line which isn’t visible when you first test.

hayleyfx · 24/05/2018 17:11

Thank you ladies. Having looked at the test again yeah there is definitely a shadow on it, so faint though. However it didn’t show up within the timeframe so I won’t trust it as IC’s have given me evap lines before... but it has given me some hope to cling onto. 🤞 I’m testing first thing tomorrow with a frer, so if that is actually a faint line and not an evap then it will show up on a frer I’m sure. I’m dreading it!! I think I’ll cry if it’s a bfn even though I’m pretty sure it will be 😭😬

@YellowDaffodils86 are you planning on retesting? It’s great that af has stayed away so far though... fingers crossed she continues to do so 🤞

L1zz13 · 24/05/2018 17:22

@HidCat I've had back ache since O time (2 May). I don't think I actually O'd but body went through the motions. The back ache is coming from my uterus I'm certain so, yes I've been cramping all of May. I now believe is retained products. But without the classic symptoms it hasn't been an issue - till now. Don't want to worry you but my story doesn't fit the classic retained products story and boy am I suffering when maybe I shouldn't have if my drs practice routinely scanned post mc like they used to when I lived in Bedford.

I've requested a drs phone call tomorrow with the chap I saw first(who was old fashioned but lovely) will ask for a scan and hcg when this period finishes. 🤞🏻he panders to me.

@YellowDaffodils86 did you test in the end? Or tested recently? Your spotting sounds like mine but I had it for 3 days before boom 💥. Have you tried jks to bring it on? 😜

Congratulations for the bfps ❤️

Congratulations @Wellthisunexpected that looks like a faint positive to me. Here's hoping it's a completely uneventful healthy bean for you this time!

Sorry @RedRobin7 and @DaisyMay25 for your negatives and everyone else in limbo at the moment. The 2ww is definitely the worst part of the TTC emotional rollercoaster.

I'm ~7dpo at the moment and have been symptom spotting like crazy despite telling myself I'd be chill this time around 🙈
Been getting cramps, stabbing boob pain and on and off mild nausea all day but trying not to read too much into it as don't want to get my hopes up. Is quite early days though not that different than what I experienced compared to other 2 pregnancies 🤷‍♀️ sigh I just hate the waiting! 😔

@HidCat sooty for all you have going on that sounds horrible to deal with. Hope your mums ok.

@Wellthisunexpected totally get what you mean about "just relax". It's like you try and go through this shot & relax - I was relaxed before this hell started!

HidCat · 24/05/2018 17:37

@L1zz13 funnily enough I didn't pass the sac until my period 4 months after my MC but I don't feel unwell apart from the cramps. Will see if it clears up, suppose it could just as easily be constipation so trying not to over think it.

L1zz13 · 24/05/2018 18:05

@HidCat crikey!

OP posts:
HidCat · 24/05/2018 18:13

@L1zz13 yeah despite close monitoring for 3 months I never had a second scan as my hcg was dropping steadily and had no infections so there was no consideration of retained products. Caught me off guard when it appeared but there was no mistaking what it was.

KnitKitty · 24/05/2018 18:23

Wellthisunexpected congrats! :)

hayleyfx I can see something vague on there too. Good luck with the FRER.

YellowDaffodils86 I would test again if AF doesn't start properly by tomorrow or Saturday...

Sorry to those who've had AF show up or BFNs.

YellowDaffodils86 · 24/05/2018 18:35

@hayleyfx im not sue on retesting, i dont want to another bfn to look at.
Congrats to you though. Maybe give it a couple of days before testing again (I know super hard, am i crazy!) might just save a false bfn that makes you disappointed.

@L1zz13 i last tested Tuesday, not again since then.
Boom! AF?
Thats a new one JKS for AF!!

@KnitKitty iv said to myself maybe Saturday if she hasnt showed, but i just dont think it will be positive. And if it is, i wont feel excited, i will worry that there is something wrong because it didnt show for so long.
Why do our bodies like to trick us 🤔

SerenaOverjoyed · 24/05/2018 18:57

RedRobinThanks for being my voice of reason! You're not out yet though x

Boboelephant Enjoy your week off the rollrcoaster!! I know rationally there's no chance I'd hurt the phantom baby, but I'm just afraid of blaming myself again. Oh well - I need some fun so I'll just have to get over it!!

Wellthisisunexpected Blimey, congratulations!! I hope you find a way over the next few days and weeks to park the anxiety and enjoy your pregnancy

HidCat what an unrelenting year. I hope your mum is coping well, that sounds stressful. This should mean you are done with tragedy and on to the good stuff now.

DaisyMay I'm terrible with line spotting but good luck tomorrow, fx

YellowDaffodils86 AF is still AWOL, and I still have a bfn. Oddly feeling more deluded hopeful today. Maybe Monday's spotting was implantation bleed? Maybe I'm totally kidding myself? Who knows. How are you? Still no AF? I'm so in awe of the poas restraint.

haleyfx I think I see it and I'm awful with lines. Fx Smile

Boboelephant · 24/05/2018 19:03

@hayleyfx and @DaisyMay25 ill keep my fingers crossed that those little shadows become nice strong lines!
@HidCat so sorry you're having a tough year and so sorry to hear about your mum. Hope she is ok!!
@YellowDaffodils86 I'm so frustrated for you. I hope you get an answer soon! Btw I agree with the JKS for AF. If mine is late, that always brings it on the next morning!
@L1zz13 hopefully this af will clear it all out but good idea with the scan.

hayleyfx · 24/05/2018 19:19

Thank you all ladies! I’m so nervous to test again incase it’s a bfn!

@YellowDaffodils86 totally know what you mean. Sometimes a bfn is just worse than af arriving so I understand. I’m so scared of seeing another bfn too. I hope you’re out of limbo soon!

YellowDaffodils86 · 24/05/2018 20:37

@SerenaOverjoyed nope no AF, feeling frustrated.
How many dpo are you now?
I know its hard going back in forth, you cant thinking oh what if???
The bfn on a frer on Tuesday has put me off testing, i just dont feel a bfp will happen. Although i did toy with the idea of going boots after work to get some more frer, but talked myself out of it.

@Boboelephant
Thanks, ohh maybe try that then! See if she appears!

YellowDaffodils86 · 24/05/2018 20:42

@DaisyMay25 @Wellthisunexpected FX for the next few days and more bfps, and that they are super sticky!

@HidCat sorry things have been so rubbish for you.
I will help you find the vodka!

RedRobin7 · 24/05/2018 20:48

@SerenaOverjoyed I'm bleeding now so I'm definitely out 😔 I'm also getting very drunk with the OH as a result! Two weeks to go and then we can try again. Really hope next month is successful as I have to travel every month with work but I get June, July and Aug off due to the summer period so it would be a good time to get pregnant and not have to tell work early like I had to before. I literally told them at 11 weeks and then a week later found out about my MMC so it was hard!

penguingirl · 24/05/2018 21:39

Hi all, I hope it is ok for me to join so far in to the thread. I miscarried for the 2nd time on May 1st (a year to the day since my 1st miscarriage) and have barely JKS'd since as took over a week to stop bleeding then have been too down (along with some other non-relevant/boring health issues that prevented me wanting to.) However, today I felt a bit nauseous before dinner and had a little bit of spotting, and on checking my app discovered I am day 10 post ovulation which google tells me is prime implantation bleeding time :-/ I'm trying so hard not to get me hopes up but yeah! I have no-one to talk to in 'real life' about this as my bf has her own woes around this subject and all my other friends are happily 'child-free' (hate that expression!).... partner is great but I don't want to keep harping on about all this pregnancy stuff when there is only so much he can say/understand. Would love to be part of a group where I can share some of this stuff with people who've been there/are going through similar.

DaisyMay25 · 24/05/2018 21:43

@penguingirl hi, sorry you find yourself here and sorry for the mc, especially the date it was on. Just wondering if you managed to get a negative pregnancy test after it? Would you know when AF is due? You could always take a test at the weekend to check?

penguingirl · 24/05/2018 22:01

Thanks @DaisyMay25 I had to be treated at the epau initially, then I was asked to do a home test 2 weeks after they did the last blood test, which was 16 days after the mc. That one came up negative. Since we started ttc (beginning of 2017) my cycles have been pretty regular, 28 days, altho I had a couple of shorter ones just before the bfp this time (which alongside some other symptoms made me assume I was peri-menopausal as I'm 43 and had never had anything shorter than 28 days in all my time menstruating, longer yes but never shorter, thanks endometriosis!) So in theory I am due af around the 29th. Will certainly be manically testing over the weekend!! Although between my age, endometriosis, very sporadic jks-ing this month, probably being in peri-menopause etc it'll be a feckin miracle if I get a bfp!!!

HidCat · 24/05/2018 22:02

Thanks ladies, managing to stay positive about everything so far! Now in the TWW so fingers crossed eh!

@penguingirl welcome and I'm so sorry. I hope you have a swift recovery and start to feel more yourself soon. Maybe you have caught the fertility cape! I'm loving the name - we've often referred to this thread as a group of penguins so it's perfect! When do you think you might test?

Martydog · 24/05/2018 22:05

Just marking my place. I'm on holiday at the moment trying to get over our 2nd miscarriage. Hopefully we will come back with an extra present!

Wellthisunexpected · 24/05/2018 22:25

@YellowDaffodils86 and anyone else who may need them, frer are currently buy one get one half price in boots.

penguingirl · 24/05/2018 22:26

Thanks so much @HidCat, yes, I saw the penguins in the first post and thought 'oooh, a supportive lady penguin huddle to join'! Grin I am actually going to a wedding on Saturday evening so I figured I would test before we go, although even if it's a bfn I'll still abstain from the free bar (argggg!) and test again on Sunday!!

Oh @Martydog I wish you all the luck in the world for a bfp very soon Flowers

KnitKitty · 24/05/2018 22:28

penguingirl welcome. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. I have endometriosis too, so I know what worries that brings with TTC. Best of luck to you, and sorry for your losses.

Wellthisunexpected · 24/05/2018 22:30

Welcome Penguin fingers crossed it is implantation bleeding,, 48 hours and you'll know. I ovulated 15 days after I started bleeding from my miscarriage, so it's certainly possible.

and hello Martydog hopefully you can enjoy yourself on holiday and relax a little. Sorry to hear about the miscarriage.

L1zz13 · 24/05/2018 23:00

So... currently waiting in AnE as my back ramped up to early labour style pain and mild contractions! Oooh ouchy back.
Hubbo was frustrated with my wait and see attitude and as a compromise I called 111.
Bloody hell I hate waiting for the bath to fill let alone this!
On the plus side I do need some answers as mild contractions running through my back can't be normal.

@YellowDaffodils86 Something about spermies on the cervix and the other big O can bring on AF if it's due ( for me and Bobo at least). 😜
