Lilimum It's having two separate uterus...es? uteri?

Some women also have two separate cervix with it as well although I just had the one. One of my uteruses was joined to the other with no outlet. It meant I had EXTREMELY painful periods when I was a teenager. At first the blood was backing up my fallopian tube and caused the cyst which killed off my ovary, however when they removed the ovary on that side they also tied off the fallopian tube and so the menstrual blood had nowhere to go and I ended up in A&E on morphine for my period pain several times. They eventually removed it after a few years because I just couldn't live with the pain anymore. (They hadn't wanted to remove it as it was stuck to my bowel and I may have needed a colostomy bag for the rest of my life). But the fairy tale ends well, the surgery was successful, so I now have one working ovary, a working (if slightly deformed) womb and my bowel is in tact. I also know I can get pregnant because I had a little miracle earlier this year. I just need another little miracle to prove I can carry to term and have a rainbow baby now!

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 22:36

@KnitKitty omg you are truely amazing. I'm all down in the dumps but compared to what you have been through ( I will just stop moaning and think myself lucky). You really deserve your little miracle and I really hope it happens soon for you xx

zarala · 07/06/2018 22:45

@littleemma1 and @Boboelephant
They sell this at H&B www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/holland-barrett-bromelain-tablets-500mg-60007410?skuid=007410&&utmmedium=cpc&utmsource=google&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqOmw58DC2wIVab7tCh0MRQtoEAQYASABEgLtjDBwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

What do you guys think? Could this be a substitute for gagging on pineapple core???

@HidCat my bbt thermometer arrived today too- is it too late to use this month- I am cd9 today - does anyone know??

@KnitKitty yes JKS! It's never too early!!!
And wow! I'm sorry for everything you had to
Go through! But yay for happy ending- I really hope you get an even happier ending soon ! 🌈

@L1zz13 I agree with @Boboelephant's advice...I hope you guys work it out - must be so difficult and isolating! Sending hugs

So did OPK this morning and was negative but this evening have definite ewmc- so hmm! Do I do another OPK, oh wise ones??

Off for JKS now! Night! 🤸🏽‍♀️🙌🏽💕

Cakelaur · 07/06/2018 22:58

@Lilimum4 yup that's the one. I bought it from wellsprings themselves. Was about £25 from memory. I'm still using it now 12 weeks into pregnancy. Going to stop once my sickness stops/around 14weeks (whichever comes first)

@Boboelephant I'm SOOO excited that you've DTD so many times AND you've got progesterone cream!! Eek!!!! And 3 dpo! Perfect. Get the cream and the pineapples!! Whoop!!!

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 23:02

@Cakelaur thanks placing the order now. One last question do apply the cream to your tummy or doesn't it matter where

Cakelaur · 07/06/2018 23:05

@littleemma1 not sure if someone else has explained. Progesterone cream stops oestrogen kicking in, which improves chances of implantation and carrying bub. My temps were really rocky after ov, which suggests low progesterone. I rubbed the cream twice a day from 3dpo -12dpo. (Stopped to allow af to show) it never showed got my bfp at 15dpo and started again 15dpo and still using it now. First pregnancy mmc at 6+4 (found out at 8+5) this one successful (so far)
And pineapple core thins the blood a little which makes for a better environment for implantation.
Both are worth a shot in my opinion. Took a year to get my first bfp (which I lost) then 3 cycles to get my second bfp (1st cycle with pineapple and progesterone)

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 23:08

OK just ordered the cream fx it works if not I'll feel good x

babibell · 07/06/2018 23:22

I lost my baby on the 8th December. They would be due 17th July. I want to try now but when I got upset once about it, I said I wouldn't try till their due date. Would I be disgusting to start trying now? Please reply

Gratefulninja · 08/06/2018 00:50

@babibell
No you most certainly would not be disgusting. You would be human like the rest of us and desperate to have what you once had again. I’m quite new to this board and this whole loss thing (I was so naive I thought how could it ever happen to me!) but I completely understand the guilt of wanting to try again, the longing for a child and the grief of having lost your babies.

Try again if you feel ready but 100% do not feel guilt or disgust at yourself. You’re a human like the rest of us and all your feelings are completely allowed and understandable. We will get there :-) 💐

Boboelephant · 08/06/2018 06:09

@Lilimum4 yes that's it.
@Mistymeow no worries. I find charting helpful as it confirms ovulation for me and stops me worrying. If it is making you worry more I'd definitely stop. You're also right on that holiday and travel will mess it up so best to wait a bit!
@KnitKitty oh my goodness you poor thing. What a horrible thing to have to experience so young! I'm so glad it had a happy ending and I hope you get your rainbow baby soon!!
@zarala I'm not really sure hun. I think there are lots of uses for bromelain so I don't imagine it could hurt. Not sure that it would have the same concentration though. They only recommend that you eat the pineapple once ovulation has occurred and you take those tablets all month so hmmm. Not sure!!! As for bbt yes start using it right away. The most important shifts are ovulation and after. Also some people get EWCM for days. It signifies that you are fertile, not necessarily ovulation. Keep doing opks and JKS! This month I got EWCM daily from cd12, positive opk cd17 and ovulation cd18.
@babibell so sorry for your loss. You have very similar dates to me- I lost mine on 12th Dec and was due 7th July. You are certainly not disgusting. I have been trying since Jan as I'm desperate to be pregnant again. You sound like all of us. A woman desperate to be a mum again. I hope it happens soon for you.

HidCat · 08/06/2018 07:40

@babibell I'm so sorry for your loss. You certainly wouldn't be disgusting for trying now, you should start whenever your ready. I wanted to try to be pregnant again before my due date rather than wait until after.

Lilimum4 · 08/06/2018 08:00

Morning ladies my symptom spotting is mental
Symptoms today
Tired so so tired can't stop yawning even after I just got up, sore boobs, I can smell menthol all the time.
Only 7dpo so if I took a test it would defo be a bfn this early right? Also these symptoms could all be AF related right ? OK I'm crazy and very inpatient today

HidCat · 08/06/2018 08:10

@Lilimum4 yep defo too early to test and probably just progesterone related symptoms. So frustrating though!

Lilimum4 · 08/06/2018 08:36

@HidCat that's for that need a slap to bring me back to earth lol why does this make us crazy

HidCat · 08/06/2018 08:42

@Lilimum4 I know! No matter how manny articles I read telling me otherwise, every symptom is a possibility 🤦🏼‍♀️. One of these days though, we will be right!

KnitKitty · 08/06/2018 08:48

Lilimum4 please don't berate yourself for being down in the dumps for going through what you're going through. Everyone's burdens are their own. What seems like a small blip in one person's day can feel like the worst day ever to someone else, and there's nothing wrong with that so long as you learn how to cope and get the support you need (which is what we're all here for). And I did go through a long phase of depression when I was struggling to cope with all the pain and emotions of not knowing if I could ever had children or not, and hated my body for letting me down for quite a long time. But because it all happened when I was so young and before I'd started thinking about having babies, I consider myself extremely lucky for that.
7DPO is a little too early to test. Try to hold off for as long as possible! Sit on your hands if you have to! haha! But have all my fingers and toes crossed for you!!!

Thanks zarala and Boboelephant I hope you get your rainbows soon too. xxx

babibell I agree with everything Gratefulninja said. There's absolutely nothing wrong with feeling ready to try already. I'm really sorry for your loss, and welcome.

Boboelephant · 08/06/2018 09:14

@Lilimum4 haha yep a bit early!! Don't worry my symptom spotting has started at 4dpo!! 😂🤦‍♀️

Boboelephant · 08/06/2018 09:31

I can't remember where everyone is in the tww. Are there any takers for POAS FRIDAY?? I want to live vicariously through you!

Mistymeow · 08/06/2018 09:47

@KnitKitty wow, you've had a tough journey. I have a lot of faith you will get your rainbow :)

@babibell I totally agree with the other ladies. We are all in the same boat here, you are in the right place for support.

Bobo, I suppose technically I am in the 2ww considering I've clearly messed up my temping haha. I would only be 3dpo. That's if I o'd. I'm probably just going to wait for af and not bring pregnancy tests on holiday. It's so unlikely.

DH hopefully getting his fertility treatment end of July which should increase his sperm count. Anything before then is a bit of a long shot.

weasledee · 08/06/2018 09:50

I peed on a stick and I'm sure it was actually whiter after I peed on it than before!!!! Hmm
I really don't think this is ever gonna work out for no. 3 for me sadly, I need the middle of the huddle!!!! Grin
But obvs I'm really grateful for what I already have Smile

Morning ladies, just been reduced to tears by a phonecall from the midwife team that had all the sensitivity of a rhinoceros.
It was a man (no problem with that) but done so insensitively 'Just calling on behalf of the midwife team about your appointments'.
Me 'Do you know I had a miscarriage?'
'We weren't sure and your file is still open so I'll close that down'.
A conversation ensued where I said I didn't think that communication between the hospital and the midwives was very good and that this was the first I had heard from the midwives. He really didn't know what to say and it was so awkward. I was fine on the phone but in bits now. And this in the middle of a perfectly nice morning while I was getting on with my work. FFS!

DaisyMay25 · 08/06/2018 11:10

@ek78 I'm so s

DaisyMay25 · 08/06/2018 11:11

*sorry, that sounds awful. Kinda just brings back all the pain and hurt really. That's really bad of them, I would've been fuming. Hope you're okay Thanks

ek78 · 08/06/2018 11:14

Thanks @daisymay25 I'm really upset and fuming too. Was going to email to complain but my partner says he'll do it instead.
