@DBoo congratulations! Definite line there, I didn't even need to zoom in.

Laney79 · 23/05/2018 07:17

Aww congrats and everything crossed for you @DBoo xx

Thanks @Boboelephant - so tough to know what the heck is going on. We're desperate to try again but I've not stopped bleeding since MC and hospital said no sex until bleeding stops! There was a lot of blood and little bits of clots/tissue yesterday. Tmi but still passing some today although it's back to the gloopy stuff (Flo's snot I call it ShockBlush) but still bright red.

One day this Carcas of mine will behave. Dammit I just want to join you all in TTC and get on the JKS wave!!!

MrsLCW · 23/05/2018 07:22

@Laney79 I totally feel your pain. I had a varied flow of bleeding for what felt like an eternity after we lost our little girl. It makes you feel dreadful, and like you just can't look forward at all doesn't it?
Sending you love and good thoughts that's all done soon and you can begin to look ahead. X

dulwichdays · 23/05/2018 07:22

Thanks @boboelephant - what brands of progesterone cream did you buy? I can’t help but feel that I’m missing something or doing something wrong. We’re dtd-ing the right time but obviously that’s not enough!

dulwichdays · 23/05/2018 07:25

@cakelaur - I second bobo’s question - what was your magic formula?

rdm10 · 23/05/2018 07:34

Found you.
Nothing happening here on cd 7. Will back through later

Boboelephant · 23/05/2018 07:35

@DBoo I really hope this is your rainbow!
@Laney79 it really has been dragging out for you. At least it sounds like your body is finally letting go completely and fx the bleeding stops soon! Just in time for your JKS holiday!
@dulwichdays oh I know the feeling. I do everything! And know that I'm dtd at the right time. I even suggested the pineapple core about 4 threads ago and so many others did it and got their bfp and I still don't! It's gotta happen soon for us, it just has to!
I bought the wellsprings serenity cream on @Cakelaurs recommendation.
I remember there was 8 days of back to back dtd, progesterone cream from 3dpo, pineapple core from 1dpo and a new puppy! (I might need to find an alternative for the pup!)

dulwichdays · 23/05/2018 07:38

Thanks @boboelephant - I’ve got house build and renovation instead of a puppy, but I figure that should be a good distraction!

Boboelephant · 23/05/2018 07:40

@rdm10 we're similar again this cycle. I'm cd 6 here. @weasledee also close again too!
@PassTheAfterEights are you around?? Come join us!!!

Boboelephant · 23/05/2018 07:42

@dulwichdays definitely! Hope it's going well. Right... I need a happy distraction. Any ideas ladies?

Jessabean · 23/05/2018 07:42

Congratulations @DBoo 🤞 all goes well for you this time.

Sorry to those for whom AF has arrived.

Blondcat · 23/05/2018 07:55

Just place marking as on holiday at the moment too much to catch up on...
Hope everyone is OK x

Lilimum4 · 23/05/2018 07:56

@DBoo congratulations fx and tx its a super sticky bean for you.

Now I have a slight dilemma and I need advice: Eva and flo app says I will ovulate around 3 to 5 the of june, but I have my next internal scan for this stupid cyst on the 4th. To DTD or not will they know lol or should I write the month off. ( just to be clear this is an internal scan) help ladies this is bad.

Second bit of advice, hot tubs yes or no. My mum has gone and bought one and is asking me weekly if I'd like to come have a soak with her. She doesn't know we are TTC, so I've been fobbing her off but that won't last is it a no go area or will it be ok

BabynameEdie · 23/05/2018 07:57

@Boboelephant relax! (Yeah, I know, impossible). Well what I think is a bit weird is that I've only ever conceived while on holiday (first time was our honey moon in Jan and this time was a mini break to Norfolk for our wedding anniversary). But I can only link that to my state of mind while I'm away, compared to my state of mind while at work/normal life. I'm sure I'm more relaxed and less busy generally when on holiday and that it could really help?
I know you can't go away every month in FW! But perhaps see if there's anything you can do to slow your life down a bit over those days. Get a bit of help with childcare, go to bed earlier, have nice evenings with DH - bottle of wine here and there etc. Try some yoga (you tube Adriene yoga). I don't know, I just feel v strongly that anxiety and being v busy with life/work doesn't lead to my body being ready to receive anything wonderful! 🤞🤞🤞

MrsLCW · 23/05/2018 08:07

@Lilimum4 I asked the lead midwife at my appointment yesterday about drinking and hottub as we are away Friday-tues next week (CD 16-20) and her advice was for peace of mind don't drink to excess but also don't not have a couple of glasses of wine here and there, and not to worry about hottub etc until 5 weeks ish when the baby has embedded etc. She said the same about aspirin which I'll be taking in my next pregnancy, avoid until given the go ahead after a positive test as embrio will have embedded.
Unsure on the science but she deffo knows her stuff xxx

DBoo · 23/05/2018 08:37

Thank you everyone. Really appreciate it. Just a quick one - anyone done slimming world when pregnant before?

Currently on weight watchers but spoke to the coaches this morning and altho its apparently safe when pregnant they cant continue to support it so have to cancel membership.

MrsLCW · 23/05/2018 08:45

@DBoo I did last time round (in a fashion - I had dreadful sickness for 16 weeks of my 20 week pregnancy!)
You follow the plan as normal but have two healthy extra as (portioned calcium so either milk or cheese) and two healthy extra bs (portioned fibre - bread/cereal)
This is on top of your unlimited free and speed foods (lean meat, fish, poultry, dried pasta, potatoes, rice, noodles, eggs, fruit and veg) then your 15 syns per day for treats.

Hope this helps xx

Sictransitgloria · 23/05/2018 08:50

AF is here which I expected. Anyone else feel sick or have indigestion before AF? Been feeling so ill past few days, I do sometimes get nausea before a period but not to this extent.

sweetpea0318 · 23/05/2018 08:53

Morning all, checking in on new thread after taking a little break and trying(!) to not think about ttc for a bit.

Congratulations to all the ladies with bfp's & sorry to those with af. And welcome to all the newcomers - very sorry for your losses and hope things start moving in the right direction for you soon.

My situation is that af finally arrived almost 7 weeks after mc. It's been roughly the same as normal but seems to be lasting a few days longer - hoping it hurries up so can jump on the ttc wagon once more!

@boboelephant I completely agree with @babynamededie's suggestions. I finally went to speak to my doc and she suggested that I start doing mindful meditation to help manage stress and try and cut down invite the anxiety and ruminating about ttc. Not sure if it's your thing but I've tried a couple of videos on you tube and they do leave me feeling quite calm and positive. I also echo the yoga suggestion - there's a video series on you tube by yoga yin which is focused on fertility yoga that I've been doing recently.

Good luck and fx for everyone. JKS!

SerenaOverjoyed · 23/05/2018 08:57

Hello lovely new thread![penguin]

Lots of us coming up to FW/tww/testing time, June should be a really exciting month SmileSmile

Thanks for the commiserations Boboelephant and Yellowdaffodil. I might (get ready for the voice of delusion) have spoken too soon. I spotted and assumed that was AF as I don't usually spot, but AF definitely did not arrive. My boobs are still somewhat sensitive, so who knows? I did get another BFN today though, so probably not..

SerenaOverjoyed · 23/05/2018 09:01

OppsBlush how'd you do a penguin?

Tennative congrations DBoo, everything crossed for you x

Mistymeow · 23/05/2018 09:15

@HidCat thanks, I feel much better today.
@DBoo lovely news! Congratulations!

I'm still in limbo! Convinced af will arrive in the next few days.

I also would like to know how to do a penguin :)

Pampl3m0usse · 23/05/2018 09:54

@DBoo congratulations, I so hope you get a smooth ride this time so to speak...

So I now have a very very faint positive pregnancy test and ovarian pain on my left side like when I'm going to ovulate but negative ovulation test. Think I'm just going to DTD and hope for the best.... have a hair cut later and facial tomorrow so will attempt to be zen (so unlikely to manage this!!).
xx

DBoo · 23/05/2018 10:02

Thanks @MrsLCW and thank you for the well wishes everyone!

Ive tried to find the pregnant after mc thread and cant find it. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Boboelephant · 23/05/2018 10:21

@Lilimum4 I'm a bit confused hun. Did the doc tell you not to dtd? If not I'd crack on. I don't think they could tell that from a scan anyway.
@BabynameEdie thanks hun. I definitely agree that the stress doesn't help. With my first two pregnancies when I fell immediately I didn't even know where I was in my cycle. The holiday hasn't worked for me as I've been away for the last two fertile weeks but I think you and @sweetpea0318 are onto something. I need a holiday for my mind! @sweetpea0318 mindful meditation is definitely my kind of thing and fertility yoga sounds amazing! I have a TOIL day today so will be checking these out. Thanks lovelies!!

For those asking about the penguin, it is one the animal emoticon on my phone . It's not one of the mumsnet emojis. Not sure if you can do it on a computer but should be on your phone. 🐧🐧🐧
