Anyone due AF next week & want to join the final countdown?!

Hi ladies.
This was the first month not tracking after trying for 8 months and getting nowhere.
My last 3 cycles lasted 28, 29 and 32 days, but think the last one may have been a CP.
No idea which date I actually ovulated, but felt cramping on and off since early last week and I'm due AF any time from Monday.

Think I'm going to do a test at the weekend, because I can't just sit and wait! Praying it's a BFP Thanks

Definitely want it now! @Murphyrocks :)

VenusStarr · 05/06/2018 06:12

Apparently I'm 3dpo, ovulation was Saturday? I'm not sure I agree as didn't get darker opks til Sunday and had cramps on Sunday. But my temperature was even higher again today. So my cycle appears to be getting even shorter! Am definitely out as we only dtd last Tuesday. Least I can relax this month now.

How are you getting on @CobaltRose? hope you both are OK @Murphyrocks @sprinkleofsunshine

Murphyrocks · 05/06/2018 06:38

Fair enough @VenusStarr, at least you know where you are and hopefully not long before your next cycle. Mine are far longer, about 31 days, so have to wait much longer before trying again!

VenusStarr · 06/06/2018 08:11

Hi @Murphyrocks I just wanted to ask you about charting. It's only my second month so it might be too early but have you noticed a pattern with your temps? This month is totally different to last month. After ovulation last month my temperature peaked and then gradually dropped until af. But this month my temperature is still going up. Just wondered what your experience was.

How's everyone else? @CobaltRose @sprinkleofsunshine

sprinkleofsunshine · 06/06/2018 08:16

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! Nothing much going on here. Will dtd tonight, then dh is away until Sunday at which point will dtd again and for a few days after. Due to o sat/Sunday I believe so a bit behind you guys.

Murphyrocks · 06/06/2018 08:51

@VenusStarr yes I do get a reasonably regular pattern but it took me 3-4 months to get to grips with it, and yes sometimes the temps after O do slope down towards af but other times they stay high until she arrives. Continuing to go up from a couple of days after O is unusual though, for me at least.

Sounds good @sprinkleofsunshine, I'm not due to O for another 10 days or so as my cycle is longer so behind again!

VenusStarr · 06/06/2018 09:29

Thanks @Murphyrocks. This is my chart now. It still looks unusual to me.

Have fun later @sprinkleofsunshine :)

Got baby bombed twice last night. One got pregnant at my wedding :(

Anyone due AF next week & want to join the final countdown?!
Murphyrocks · 06/06/2018 09:43

Yes that does look a bit odd @VenusStarr, I'd keep dtd regularly just in case. Are you temping in the same place in your mouth as soon as you wake up while still lying in bed? Your temp starting climbing as soon as you start moving, even sitting up or rolling around! Yeah I just had another baby bomb this morning, they seem to crawl out of the woodwork as soon as you start ttc!

VenusStarr · 06/06/2018 10:04

Do you think something is wrong? @Murphyrocks yes temp at the same time in the morning, give or take half and hour. Always in the same place and I literally put my arm out and switch on the thermometer and wait for the beep. My dh still isn't well so no dtd, I have written this month off. Think he's starting to wonder if there's something wrong with either of us. I just don't want either of us to feel pressured.

Murphyrocks · 06/06/2018 10:17

Not that I think something's wrong, just your chart might be a little different to mine. How long have you been trying/is it your first? The average for conception is 3 months I think even when temping and timing, and given the number of people who conceive in the first month or 2 (myself included for ds1) there are several who can take up to year without there being anything wrong. My sister conceived her 1st straightaway but took 10 months with her 2nd, it's just when you get lucky! I know it's easy to say but try to relax and enjoy it, stressing yourself will only make it worse in a plethora of ways!

VenusStarr · 06/06/2018 12:15

Thanks @Murphyrocks it's our first time trying, I came off the pill in December and was seeing what happened but have been tracking with temps and opks the last 2 months. I know on reality it's not long at all. My sister said it took 8 months with her first and she had short cycles too. But she was younger than me at the time. I'm edging towards 35 and I've got that in my head as a deadline. It's really hard not to think about it.

Murphyrocks · 06/06/2018 12:21

Fair enough @VenusStarr, I can understand your anxiety but as you say it's really not that long, particularly as you weren't 'actively' trying earlier in the year. Short cycles are good as you get more opportunities that way! I know 35 is bandied around as a milestone but it's really not as cut and dry as that, there are other factors that are far more relevant and its a gradient not a cliff! I know it's hard not to worry though, I conceived easily 2 1/2 years ago and even after 1 failed cycle I'm away googling secondary infertility!

VenusStarr · 06/06/2018 18:34

Thank you @Murphyrocks I do feel a bit better after reading your message. We need to stay away from Google! :)

sprinkleofsunshine · 06/06/2018 22:40

Ha thanks @VenusStarr.

Just reading through both your messages, I've been off my pill for a year but have been using other methods however not having an 'accident' in that time even made me think there may be something wrong. It's weird as soon as you decide you're ready to try you want it to happen there and then and when it doesn't I think you're mind thinks the first. I've heard 80% within the first year I think it was, 60% of people within 6 months, something like that,

Dtd tonight, not expecting much this month as I've said but will be nice to not be so mad after last month I think.

Sorry if tmi but I noticed earlier only when I wiped really my downstairs is really sensitive today, wouldn't say painful but def tender. I'm due to o so don't know if it's linked but I've never had this before, had anyone else?

VenusStarr · 07/06/2018 19:43

@sprinkleofsunshine I've not had tenderness around ovulation so not sure what that might be. I feel more relaxed this month but that's because I've already written it off! There is a miniscule chance as we dtd in cd6 and I ovulated on cd10, but I'm already thinking that af will be on time next week and onto the next cycle. But feel OK about it.

How's everyone?

Murphyrocks · 07/06/2018 20:46

No I've not had that either @VenusStarr but am sometimes sensitive after dtd since giving birth, all a bit more delicate down there now! More relaxed is good - I'm not due O for another c.10 days so not stressing either!

sprinkleofsunshine · 10/06/2018 18:35

How is everyone?

@Murphyrocks @VenusStarr how you getting on?

Not felt o again this month, was supposed to be yesterday according to my app but haven't taken any opk. Maybe be late again Hmm feeling quite relaxed this month. Dh home so maybe late o will work in my favour!

Murphyrocks · 10/06/2018 19:08

Sounds good @sprinkleofsunshine, hope its a late o! I'm not due O for another week or so, just temping and playing the waiting game.

VenusStarr · 11/06/2018 07:10

Maybe your body delayed as your dh was away @sprinkleofsunshine :)

Hope you're OK @Murphyrocks too

I'm 9dpo according to flo, due af later this week. I've literally just been adding temperatures to fertility friend and despite a small dip at 5dpo, a raise then a dip it has moved ovulation to cd15. Which I don't agree with. This is my chart in flo. Just waiting to get onto the next cycle now. Got acupuncture again this week so am looking forward to that

Anyone due AF next week & want to join the final countdown?!
Murphyrocks · 12/06/2018 19:40

No I'm not sure I'd agree with that either @VenusStarr, ovulation looks like day 10 after the slight dip, which seems to be what it's saying? Am I reading it wrong?!

Also I'm hoping for some OPK advice, I'm not due to O for 5-6 days according to my app but I started testing already just in case, took one just now and attach the result. Not sure whether to count that as a positive or not? My tests usually have almost no visible line whatsoever so this is much stronger, but think technically the test line should be stronger than the control line? Any thoughts/opinions/advice? Other than the obvious that it might be dtd time?! Wink

Murphyrocks · 12/06/2018 19:42

I think it might have got a bit stronger too while writing that message! Help!

Anyone due AF next week & want to join the final countdown?!
VenusStarr · 12/06/2018 19:51

My opks looked like yours do @Murphyrocks I've not seen a positive yet but I think I surge quickly. I think you're gearing up to ovulate.

The chart before is from flo, I've attached the fertility friend chart which is saying I'm 5dpo. Fertility friend originally put me as cd10 for ovulation but then changed. I don't think my temperature rises confirm ovulation then though. I'm more inclined to the ovulation on cd10 as I had similar opks to you and cramps that weekend. Why is this so complicated?!

Anyone due AF next week & want to join the final countdown?!
Murphyrocks · 12/06/2018 19:59

Yeah your chart confuses me @VenusStarr! I'd be inclined to agree with CD10 too but with a slow climb post ovulation. Would that count you in or out for this month?

Yeah I think I might be just before or just after, will test again before bed then again in the morning if it's still not clear and see what they say. Looks like it's dtd time anyway!

VenusStarr · 12/06/2018 20:13

Thanks @Murphyrocks, I'm just about in if it was cd10 as we dtd on cd6, but the chances are very remote! Should be due af later this week.

Hope you get your positive opk. Is ovulation earlier than you thought it would be this month?

Murphyrocks · 12/06/2018 20:18

4 days before, so I think the likelihood of conceiving is about 1 in 3 if you dtd on O day, but goes down to about 1 in 10 for 4 days before. So an outside chance, but still a chance! At least you should find out soon either way.

Yeah I'm not due O for 5-6 days yet so wasn't expecting it yet at all, app isn't even telling me to test yet was just doing it in case, glad I did! Will keep you updated!
