Ladies, the old thread has finished, here's a new one.

Can you believe the tests are still negative! Thinking it’s not going to be viable at this rate!

Karigan198 · 10/06/2018 21:19

Oh dear but I’m sure they have seen worse!

Cleozeta · 10/06/2018 21:23

Suggestions for foods that are high in B6, like avocado's etc. I think there were a few more suggestions, but I've not finished that bit, will let you know!
It's all very interesting. My friend swears by diet for fertility. She says changing her diet a few years ago has had a massive impact. She's been monitored for IVF then and again now and saw a noticable difference

Cleozeta · 10/06/2018 21:26

Critter - after all this you will probably find it somewhere obvious!!! Under the bed ot behind the curtain or something Grin

Karigan - that is so odd! Are you getting symptoms?

Karigan198 · 10/06/2018 21:29

Oh yeah. I feel pregnant. Boobs massive and sore. Bloated etc. That’s why I didn’t believe the negative tests and paid for the scan.

Alibaba2 · 10/06/2018 22:15

So strange Karigan! Will they give you a blood test to check hormones? If you’re getting symptoms, the hormones must be decent. Maybe it’s just not showing up in urine?

Orchid222 · 10/06/2018 22:26

Karigan- I'd still ask for blood tests to see what your hcg levels are and whether they are rising. The whole story is very bizarre.
Critter- when's your collection and transfer?
Cleo- in that case progesterone cream certainly won't hurt (along with the diet of course).
My body still hasn't recognised this pregnancy is not viable. I have my last scan on Tuesday just to be 101% sure it's not going anywhere and then I'll ask for medication to speed things up. On the sheet I got from the hospital it says 72% of women miscarry naturally by week 6-7 but clearly I'm in the remaining 18% as I'm 8+2 and not a sign of anything yet.

Ladies we'll soon run out of space on this thread, I can set up a new link tomorrow morning but looking for a good title. I think last time I was so excited about the bfp's that the new title I gave it was a bit misleading as some new pregnant ladies were confused whether that was the right place for them so if anyone has an idea for a good one let me know I'm exhausted and can't think of anything appropriate and sounding encouraging at the same time...

Ali- good to see you're still lurking around, hope all is well with you.

How does ‘shove off menopause’ sound? No? Ok then I’ll get back in my box....

CritterTamer · 10/06/2018 22:36

@Orchid - still have at least one more week of stims to go - EC is due sometime during the week commencing 18th June, and transfer would hopefully be 3-5 days after that if all goes well. My first scan is on Wednesday to check how the follicles are responding to the stimulation so should know a little more after that,

Hope all is well at your scan on on Tuesday - are you still getting positive HPTs?

littlemimosa · 10/06/2018 22:39

Just kidding:-)

Just something simple like ‘over 40 and ttc’?

Hi Ali, good to see you back. How’s things with you? I’ve read that vitamin C boosts progesterone so I’ve been on that now for a good while. I have my usual pre-conception tablet and also take an extra 500mg tablet on top.

Karigan- it all sound very odd. I hope you get some answers ASAP.

Orchid - I’m so sorry to hear you’re still in limbo. You must be so frustrated.

Cleo - thanks for what you said about changes. I’ve been really down today thinking that I’m heading into hot sweats, dry vagina and infertile territory. I only really get any of these symptoms on the months ovulation is delayed. It’s almost like my oestrogen is low at those times. That’s just my best guess. Once I eventually ovulate I feel normal again. It gives me hope that you fell pregnant actually.

Orchid222 · 10/06/2018 22:54

Mimosa-that really make me laugh and I needed it so thank you! :) Over 40 and ttc is there already, just need a 2nd part to follow.
Critter- good luck on Wednesday at the scan. No idea about hpt's, I haven't taken one in nearly 3 weeks. Funnily enough I was just looking through my drawers to see if I had any left and I did find one so thought I'd use it tomorrow to see if the line is lighter now, if it is then maybe things will start happening soon. And yes Mimosa it's super frustrating hence I hope the medication works quickly, need to get back on the ttc wagon asap.

How about " Over 40 ttc - now shove off menopause!!"

AF is on her way ladies, had spotting..
Onwards and upwards!

shinyblackdog · 11/06/2018 05:58

How about little rhymer: "Over 40 ttc - summer baby dust for me!"

AtrocityNeedles · 11/06/2018 07:14

"Slapping menopause with an avocado"

sparklyglitterball · 11/06/2018 07:39

Hi ladies, still popping onto this thread now and again to see how you're all doing 😊. Orchid, I'm sorry this pregnancy wasn't viable. Really hope it's all sorted for you soon so you can get back to ttc. Karigan, congratulations! I'm sure you've read lots of threads about ladies that didn't get bfp's until weeks following missed af. The symptoms sound very reassuring Smile. And chat bash, sorry your little bean didn't stick. Hope you're feeling ok. Hope everyone else is doing ok............I can totally understand the feeling of wanting to give up. It's just so emotionally draining! I'm 20 weeks now.........scan tomorrow! Feeling a little nervous, but what will be will be. X

Cleozeta · 11/06/2018 07:44

Good luck at your scan sparkly Smile

weasledee · 11/06/2018 08:06

Good luck sparkly!

Chatbash72 · 11/06/2018 10:13

Good luck sparklyglitterball
Do we have a new thread name yet?

Orchid222 · 11/06/2018 10:26

Thanks Sparkly and good luck at the scan tomorrow.

Chat-we don't,. Maybe we should go with Shiny's rhymer "Over 40 ttc - summer baby dust for me!". I like the menopause ones I'm just thinking it might sound a bit gloomy to any new ladies ttc and thinking of joining us. Personally I think they are funny but some ladies out there might find it a bit depressing, don't you think? And the rhymer sounds light and cheerful.

If you're happy with that I'll create a new link now before we run out of space.

Dickybow321 · 11/06/2018 10:29

Hi guys, do you mind if I join you? I'm 40 and ttc #3.

I've been reading about supplements to give me the best possible chance. Currently taking ubiquinol, maca, royal jelly, L-arginine, a multivitamin, folic acid, calcium and extra vitamin C Shock

Hope you don't mind me suggesting something for the title but I think it's best if we don't make any mention of the menopause. I'm a big believer in the law of attraction and I think that you get what you focus on, so a lovely positive second part to the title... I like the summer baby dust one someone suggested Smile

AtrocityNeedles · 11/06/2018 10:31

Happy with the rhyme!

Alibaba2 · 11/06/2018 10:37

Sounds good Orchid, thanks
