TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?
Advice and your stories welcomed!

@Unicorn234 possibly implantation spotting? How many DPO are you? Let us know if there's anything else going on!

Thanks @NotMaryWhitehouse and @Rach0110 for your reassurance, I'm feeling very very stupid now and have learned my lesson.

Like I said I'm an early tester (can't control myself at all)... I'm only 7dpo today and against all better judgement did a test this morning. I think a might be able to see a VERY faint line but I don't know if I'm just seeing something that isn't there!

Thought I'd post anyway for opinions, even though if I'm not sure in real life I'm not sure how I'm supposed to expect you guys to judge it through a photo

@jemimafuddleduck I've just asked the question on a new thread and a lady commented saying she had her BFP but sadly miscarried. Omg I'm getting to excited right now and I'm gonna jinx myself. I had sore nipples a few days ago but that's stopped now and yesterday and today I've felt really tired but apart from that I feel okay. My ovia app says to test in 4 days.

I might buy a test tomorrow 🤦 saying that though I'm getting cramps again as we speak so knowing my luck AF is probably arriving lol

So I caved and tested 2 days early (assuming I have a 28 day cycle, who knows if I do or not?!) mainly because I've been to the GP this morning with a 2 week headache.

Not sure if I could see something or if I was seeing things (was struggling to see straight with my headache!). Will retest in a couple of days. Period is due Wednesday assuming a 28 day cycle, and the GP is calling me for an update on Thursday...

I've just held the actual test up to the light and there is a line there but I guess after this length of time it is kind of irrelevant

Ooh yes I can see a line there. How long after the year was the picture taken? Maybe try a pink dye one tomorrow as they're supposed to be more reliable?

Photo was taken just after. I'll test again on Wednesday.

AF arrived for me this morning I'm disappointed but trying to see the positives. aF arrived one day after glow predicted it would so at least I seem to have a regular 24 day cycle. Roll on next FW!

@orangekitkat13 how frustrating for you 😞 like you say, at least you're having regular cycles though.
I have no idea what's happening with me this month. We DTD at all the right times and really really want it to happen this month. I'm driving myself a bit mad with the symptom spotting!! I hate this TWW!
I don't tell my DH even a fraction of the things that go through my mind at the moment when it comes to TTC as he's just think I was mental so I'm finding this quite hard.

@jemimafuddleduck thanks. I certainly feel the same and definitely don't tell DH, he'd just tell me I was over reacting! But that is what we are here for! This forum definitely helps! I just keep trying to remind myself that it's still only been two proper cycles of trying. It'll happen for us and you too.

Finding it hard too guys😣. I've POAS like 4 times since Friday lol! Can see totally nothing. I've squinted and squinted and almost had myself convinced that one I did on Sunday morning had something. Did it again this morning but couldn't see anything. According to Ovia I'm only 8DPO so don't think it would show on a one step cheapo . To be honest apart from feeling a bit sick and a headache I don't feel like I could be pregnant so I will be trying extra hard next month! It also says 6 days till test so I will just wait till AF is due. I know I've said that about 10 times but I'll go mad otherwise lol! Sat in tears most of yesterday for no reason, just felt so so sad. I know it's irrational because it's literally only the first month! The feeling is horrible. I feel like all I've seen on social media this week is 'I'm pregnant best surprise ever' or 'a bit of a shock but we're expecting' all I can think of is HOW!? Haha. It's amazing how hard it is to actually get pregnant when you want to. Our times will come! Btw I'll attach my pitiful pic of test... it was way over time after I felt it so probs just evap

I’m in the last few days of my FW according to Ovia but I don’t think I’ve actually ovulated yet.. no ewcm no other symptoms im just hoping It’s slightly out by days because my cycle is so irregular.. which is in fact a good thing as I was working nonstop the last couple days for the big sale and now my body is aching all over I can’t move 😩😩😭

@Rmad6716 I think I might be able to see something as well, it kind of looks like mine! I'm only 8dpo today too so let's hope both of ours turn into bfps!
