That’s brilliant Anne. Weekend mornings in the summer are usually quiet in a+e in my experience! Hoping you get some answers soon.

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/08/2018 10:56

Well blow me down. Still in there, still flickering. She said keep an eye on the bleeding as it might be the start of a mc but it’s mostly stopped for now. It was literally a 5 minute scan and she said it measured 8+4 which would be 6 days behind but it was a pretty brief look so we’ll see what Wednesday brings.

SerenaOverjoyed · 12/08/2018 11:25

Phew, thank fuck for that Anne! Now it's time to put your feet up and let dh take care of you. X

Paranormalbouquet · 12/08/2018 11:41

Fantastic news Anne!! Those quick scans always seem to get dates wrong for me anyway. Feet up for the day.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 12/08/2018 13:48

That's good news @Anne. Have been thinking of you. Get plenty of rest.

Miami81 · 12/08/2018 14:13

Oh @AnneLovesGilbert my hearts been in my mouth all morning. I'm so glad for you. Don't worry about dates all my epu stuff always says +/- 5 days and if they only had a quick glance then it's easy to miss a couple of mm.
Feet up and plenty of water, like all the water. I remember one of the epu nurses saying that to me when I thought I was miscarrying dd, it can help calm down bleeding. Apparently.

Munchies89 · 12/08/2018 14:21

Glad you got seen quickly @Anne and got to see a lovely flickering heartbeat. Thinking of you xx

Munchies89 · 12/08/2018 20:04

How are you this evening @AnnelovesGilbert? X

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/08/2018 20:18

You’re all so kind and amazing.

Feet up all day, DH has been bringing me food, had a long nap, buckets of water miami Smile

No more blood since we went to the hospital earlier so think it was a blip. Scared me shitless but hopefully not a bad sign. Really glad we went, after spiralling yesterday last night tipped me over the edge and everyone there was so supportive.

Tired but had a few crappy nights, feeling fine Smile

Got another one of those work weeks ahead but fuck it, going to try and take it easy anyway.

Don’t know where I’d be without you lot xxx

How is everyone else? Sorry I’ve completely taken over Blush Thinking of you all too.

Munchies89 · 12/08/2018 20:54

No it's absolutely fine Anne, that's what we are all here for, to support each other.

Nothing new with me, thinking of finally contacting the RMC in the week to tell them I'm pregnant again...I've just been putting it off. I'm enjoying the very very early days of pregnancy again but worry about what'll happen in the next 6 weeks or so.
I'm glad the weather is finally cooler!x

Hopefulforourrainbow · 12/08/2018 21:57

That's what we're here for @Anne. Glad the bleeding has settled and you're getting plenty rest. Are you getting another scan on Wednesday?
I'm doing ok thanks. Still freaking out a bit thanks to that reflexology appointment. Had been feeling so positive about trying again next month 😭

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/08/2018 22:41

She sounds awful and weird and I’m so sorry you went through that hopeful. When I had my woman was obsessed with adrenal glands and spent most of the session talking about her sons and whether or not they’d ever meet girls. Never heard the like of her assessment of you. How on earth would she be able to tell the sexes anyway? It was weird enough at one of my scans when they told me which ovary had last ovulated and that’s hard science. You’ve been doing amazing and you have your lovely holiday to look forward to, ttc plans ahead of you, try not to let the mad bat unsettle you too much though I’d feel exactly the same and totally get how invasive it must have been xxx

How’s your week looking?

Yep. Scan at rmc weds. Also had letter through with apt for a pelvic scan there the following Thursday which was news to me. I’ll call them tomorrow.

Don’t blame you for hesitating about being back in the system munchie, call them when you’re ready and I hope they’re really supportive. How are you feeling in yourself?

Hopefulforourrainbow · 12/08/2018 23:14

She's apparently psychic and gives readings too which I didn't realise until afterwards. My week is looking ok so far. Hubby is home which always helps. He's been working away a lot recently. Are you 9 weeks now?

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/08/2018 23:30

She should have told you. And she should have been a lot more sensitive to how you were feeling, what you wanted from the session and how she could support you. Not come out with a load of unsettling stuff you weren’t expecting and knocked you off your feet with it. I’ve got a friend who does reiki and reads cards, she’s generally very mystical and empathetic and as a result she’s incredibly sympathetic to people and what they’re going through and would never push her beliefs onto anyone especially if they were vulnerable. It’s a real abuse of the relationship. So sorry it was upsetting.

With my two mmc which were tested we asked to find out the sex and it was useful for us but each time it was after the pain subsided and it was our choice. Obviously don’t know about the natural ones and I’ve never really wondered. It’s such a deeply personal decision. With most mcs you’d have no way of knowing and knowing more about it might make the loss feel deeper. With my tested ones we knew other stuff like that they were genetically okay and also what they couldn’t test for so it was a general picture if you know what I mean.

Good DH will be home you. Have some lovely cosy times together.

9+2 today. My record! We’ll see if we can get this one further along still... My poor mother is praying constantly Grin It’s not my bag but she finds it helpful. DH is preparing food constantly, he finds that helpful Smile I’m napping a lot. I’ve also gone totally off coffee for the first time ever. Tried real and decaf and it’s all rank.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 13/08/2018 00:39

We don't know the sex of any of ours and I don't think I would want to. It makes it much more real then if you get what I mean. A lot of people have said to me they know people who can't carry a certain sex. I asked my consultant of theres any truth in that and she said no. What's your thoughts on that? Anyone else been told otherwise?
I think this is your time. It's such a shame you can't enjoy being pregnant. I guess none of us will be able to enjoy it.

Munchies89 · 13/08/2018 17:19

I'm not feeling too bad at all so far, I keep feeling my temperature going up a bit, usually after progesterone pessaey but apart from that I'm fine.
I normally start getting nauseous from 6 weeks though x

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/08/2018 18:22

Hope the nausea’s reassuring when it lands but mild enough to not be too bad.

Spotting again today, brown and black rather than red. Few twinges in back and tummy but nothing really to speak of.

Turns out extra scan for next week was the consultant’s doing, not sure why but if it’s okay weds be good to have another lined up week after.

I’m not hating it hopeful, just hoping the annoying bits so far are worth it. If it wasn’t for the drugs I think I’d have completely pretended it wasn’t happening and found it easier.

If it’s not working then I’m going to be very pissed off to be covered in bruises, not had a lie in for weeks, looked like a hairy chubby beast monster and been so tired. But you never know, it might have a point and once we’ve reached a certain point I hope I chill out a bit.

Labmum · 13/08/2018 20:28

Oh @AnneLovesGilbert what a rollercoaster you've been through this weekend! I've been away for a few days and missed it all, sorry I hadn't posted. So so glad you're scan showed all was ok. Got everything crossed for Wednesday!

All the DTD chat has freaked me out a bit. DH and I have refrained from anything penetrative (and TBH most of the time I'm so tired and feeling so sick the moment doesn't arise too often) but we've done other stuff and am now panicking about the orgasms! It's totally TMI but sometimes the pregnancy hormones get me so riled up I'll orgasm in my sleep Blush so I'm not entirely sure I can avoid it completely. I had it with DS too and would have pink spotting afterwards which always panicked me!

zarala · 13/08/2018 20:56

@Labmum OMG I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who got sleep orgasms when pregnant!!!
I am new to this thread- are we advised not to BD when pregnant??? Why not?
With my first and only successful pregnancy i was so horny and we did it a lot! Is this something I should refrain from next time I get pregnant???
Sorry if such an ignorant question

Labmum · 13/08/2018 21:13

@zarala I've no idea, Ive never been told not to DTD but haven't asked. I've just been catching up on the chat from the last few days. With DS we didn't DTD until very late in the pregnancy but mainly because we were so terrified after our previous miscarriage.

It's a relief to know I'm not the only sleep orgasm "sufferer"! One of the more enjoyable of my pregnancy symptoms. Haha!

CurlyTwirlyTwos · 13/08/2018 23:54

I’ve just caught up on the thread. Thank goodness it’s all well Anne put your feet and rest as much as you can. The last few days have been a rollercoaster (understatement). So relieved that all is well now, and you’ve past that 9 week mark! You are coping so, so well with it all. I hope it continues to go well on Wednesday for you.

I’m away now for the next week, a full week away with the in laws on a family holiday. They are lovely, but I can find them difficult at times.

Safe and happy pregancies/scans in the meantime xxx

(I’ve never heard of sleep orgasms before, I wish I had that pregnancy symptom)!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 14/08/2018 08:38

Haha that sounds like a good pregnancy symptom! I've never heard of it either. We're not trying this month but I've still been tracking my cycle and think I might not be ovulating this month. I've been using cheap ovulation tests & the line seems to be getting lighter instead of darker. I should be ovulating around CD21 and I'm on CD19 now. I hope that isn't the case.

Miami81 · 14/08/2018 08:45

@zarala and @Labmum each case is different. I've been banned from dtd but that's because I have already had quite active spotting and my consultant wants to give everything a chance to settle down. I am sure once she does cervical scans further on down the line she will be happy to lift the ban.

Miami81 · 14/08/2018 08:47

@Hopefulforourrainbow do you find the strips easy normally? I found them a nightmare, so I gave up. I used temping to confirm that I was actually ovulating, but I understand that doesn't work for predicting when the big o is gonna happen. Do you get any other useful symptoms? I always get cramping and cm.
